Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world Chapter 617: The chaotic household [2]

Brandon finally managed to pull himself from Eira’s latest round of questions.
He gave the still-muttering girl a light pat on the head, then quietly crossed the room toward Freya and Selene.
The two of them were standing near the wall, slightly removed from the main clusters of conversation.
Selene noticed him first and immediately stepped forward to hug him "Papa."
Hugging her back, he gently patted her head and looked at Freya.
Freya followed her daughter’s gaze and arched a brow as he approached "Can’t believe you were hiding a family like this from us for so long, my dear husband."
With a wry smile, he replied "I just... didn’t know how to bring up that conversation
Freya crossed her arms " ’By the way, five hundred years from now I have another entire household, and some of them share blood with the children we raised’ doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, does it?"
"Something like that," he chuckled.
Selene pulled back just enough to look up at him, "Did you always know you would come back to them?"
Brandon’s hand rested on her head for another moment before lowering.
"I knew I would reach this time again."
His eyes moved briefly across the living room "I didn’t have the words for this while we were living our years together. And even if I had... I’m not sure it would have been fair to place that weight on you before it was time."
Freya’s expression softened slightly, "You damn Husband, always carrying it yourself..."
Selene glanced between her parents, then spoke more softly "Papa... do you regret it? Living with us, knowing this was always at the end of the path?"
Brandon looked down at her and shook his head without hesitation.
"No. Never. Those years with you, with your mother and all of you...they weren’t a detour."
"They were part of the life I was meant to live. Coming back here doesn’t erase that. It only means I have to learn how to hold both at the same time."
Freya watched him for a moment, "...You’re still the same man."
"Even after all this noise. Still trying to keep everyone standing while the ground keeps shifting."
Brandon’s lips curved slightly "I’ll take that as a compliment."
"You should," Freya replied. "It’s the closest thing you’re getting to one tonight."
Brandon reached out and pulled her firmly against his side.
He leaned in and nuzzled his nose against her cheek, and his voice dropped into a low murmur meant only for her.
"I was expecting more than that tonight."
Freya let out a soft giggle and turned her face just enough to meet him halfway as she raised her fingers to lightly caress his lips.
"Greedy," she whispered with a faint smile.
"You already had five wives back then, and now combined with the present household... how many nights are you going to maintain?"
"I can multitask," Brandon answered against her skin.
Selene, still standing close, watched the exchange with a small smile and politely pretended to find the opposite wall very interesting.
Freya’s fingers stayed against his lips for a moment longer before she cupped his jaw more fully.
Looking into her eyes, he muttered "Freya... I hope you get along with them. They are important to me just as you are."
Freya’s eyes condensed "...You’re asking a lot," she replied honestly.
"You brought us into a house full of women who only just learned that the man they love lived an entire second lifetime without them."
"Some of them are still bleeding from that realization. And now you want me to get along with them as if it’s going to be so easy."
Brandon slowly nodded his head "I know. But I’m still asking."
Freya’s thumb brushed once along his jaw.
"You know that I will be selfish sometimes, Husband... When I chose you, I chose you completely along with others."
"But the idea of standing in the same room with women who hold pieces of you I never witnessed... it sits strangely."
Selene remained silent beside them, simply listening.
Brandon lifted his hand and covered Freya’s hand where it rested against his face.
"I’m not asking you to pretend it’s easy, dear."
"I’m just... asking you not to close yourself off from them. They’re part of the same life that eventually led me to you and others."
"Without them, I won’t be here."
"...For me, hm?"
Freya was quiet for a long moment.
Then her lips curved into a small, resigned smile, and she pecked his lips. "I just love you too much, husband."
Brandon’s hand tightened slightly over hers, "That’s all I’m asking for. Just... give enough space for everyone to exist without walls going up."
"The last thing I would want is to see my dears hate each other and distance themselves."
Freya’s gaze quivered upon hearing those words.
She leaned her head gently against his shoulder, "...You always know the exact thing to say when you want me to stop arguing," she murmured.
Selene smiled faintly and leaned her head against her father’s other arm, relieved by the direction the conversation had taken.
"Hehe. Mama is just a simp for Papa."
She glanced up at Freya with a grin. "He asked once, and she immediately agreed."
Freya’s eyes snapped open "Selene."
"I’m only saying what I saw," Selene continued with a giggle.
"One serious look from Papa and Mama melted. It’s very consistent behavior."
Brandon let out a quiet breath of laughter and pinched his daughter’s cheek.
Freya sighed and let her head return to Brandon’s shoulder, muttering under her breath.
"...I really do love you too much. It’s becoming a problem."
Brandon turned his head slightly and pressed a brief kiss to her hair.
"I’ll take that problem."

Meanwhile, outside, Amelia and Florence were still standing in the grassland chatting casually.
At that moment, they heard an engine sound approaching.
Headlights swept across the front of the mansion as a car pulled up along the driveway and came to a stop.
A moment later the driver’s door opened, and Kiera stepped out, stretching her shoulders slightly after the drive.
She looked toward the front of the house out of habit and froze.
Two figures stood in the grass under the moonlight.
Both of them had the same blonde hair, the same face, and the same silhouette she had known her entire life.
One of them was unmistakably her mother.
The other... looked exactly like her.
Kiera stared "...What the fuck?"
She blinked hard, then raised a hand and rubbed her eyes with the heel of her palm, certain she must still be half-asleep from the drive.
When she looked again, the two women were still there.
They were wearing different clothes.
Kiera’s brain refused to process it.
She took a slow step forward and quietly walked to them.
The moment Kiera saw both faces clearly under the moonlight, the last hope that she was hallucinating died.
Two Florences.
Kiera stopped walking.
Her mouth opened, closed, then opened again.
Florence’s expression immediately softened, and a hint of an impending headache crossed her face.
"Kiera-"
"There are two of you," Kiera interrupted, pointing between them.
"There are two of you. Same face. Same hair. Standing next to each other. And the only reason I know which one is you is because you’re wearing different clothes."
She scratched her head in frustration "What did Brandon do this time?"
"Let me guess... either you found your long-lost twin sister, or that father of mine got so horny over you that he used some government or alien technology to clone you so he could have a threesome with you."
Florence: (◡‿◡.) Why does she have a similar reaction to Eira...
