Charlotte confronts Elize and Ravene about their relationships with Brandon. Elize and Ravene admit their feelings developed over time and that they worry about facing Brandon's mother, Marzella. Brandon intervenes, affirming his love for all of them and vowing to take responsibility for the situation when Marzella wakes up. A playful argument ensues between Charlotte and Ravene regarding past interactions, which Brandon eventually defuses by including Ravene in the hug with him and Charlotte.

The soft clink of glass filled the kitchen as Elize poured hot water into the teapot, the rising steam carrying the faint scent of the leaves she had chosen.

On the counter a short distance away, Ravene was sitting with her legs loosely wrapped around Brandon’s waist.

Her arms rested around his neck with her fingers lightly tangled in the back of his hair as she leaned into him.

Brandon stood between her thighs with one hand against the counter beside her hip while the other settled at her waist, holding her in place as their mouths moved together.

Ravene tilted her head slightly, drawing him in further and tightened her legs just a little around him.

Elize glanced over once while setting the cups on a tray.

"...You’re going to knock something over if you keep that up."

Ravene only made a small, dismissive sound against Brandon’s lips before kissing him again, clearly uninterested in stopping.

Brandon exhaled softly, but he didn’t pull away either.

Elize shook her head faintly and turned back to the tea as she continued preparing it.

Ravene broke the kiss just long enough to reach down and stretch the front of her t-shirt outward.

With a small, inviting tug, she pulled Brandon inside the t-shirt until his face pressed firmly into the soft swell of her breasts.

A contented breath escaped her as she held him there.

Brandon’s hands slid around to her back, and he quickly unhooked the clasp of her bra.

The band loosened at once, and the garment sagged slightly beneath her shirt.

Ravene shifted just enough to let him ease the straps down her shoulders, and the bra slipped down.

Freed from the constraint, her full breasts settled more heavily against his face.

Brandon immediately nuzzled into them with clear greed, pressing his face deeper into the warm, soft flesh.

He turned his head slightly, rubbing his cheek against one side before burying himself more fully between them.

A soft hum left her throat as he continued nuzzling, clearly enjoying the way he lost himself against her.

A short distance away, Elize set another cup onto the tray.

"...At least try not to make a mess of the kitchen," she said without turning around. "I just cleaned the counter this morning."

Ravene only chuckled softly, "He’s fine where he is."

Elize finished arranging the cups, then walked over and quietly set two of them down on the counter beside Brandon and Ravene.

She then gathered the remaining cups onto a tray and left the kitchen, heading toward the living room.

Ravene let out a quiet breath as Brandon kissed her breasts.

He slipped out from beneath the stretched fabric of her t-shirt, letting it fall loosely back into place over her bare breasts.

He leaned up and kissed her properly on the lips.

Ravene met him halfway with her arms still loosely around his neck as they shared a softer kiss.

Brandon reached for one of the cups and handed it to her before taking the other for himself.

Ravene accepted the cup, and he sat beside her on the counter.

Their sides pressed together as they settled into a more comfortable position.

Brandon took another slow sip of his tea before glancing sideways at her.

"...Do you want a kid right now?" he asked quietly.

Ravene paused with the cup halfway to her lips.

She hummed thoughtfully, and her eyes drifted toward the far side of the kitchen for a moment as she considered the question.

After a few seconds she lowered the cup and leaned a little more against his side.

"No," she answered honestly.

She turned her head to look at him, "I’m not in a rush for that. If it happens someday, fine... but I don’t feel the need to chase it."

A small, almost playful smile touched her lips. "You should give Elize a child first."

"As for me..." She set her cup down beside her and shifted closer, resting her head lightly against his shoulder.

"I just want to love you. That’s enough for now. Being close like this, having you, keeping what we already have... I’m satisfied with that."

Her hand found his and gave it a light squeeze.

"I’m not the maternal type the way Florence is. And I’m not in the same place Elize might be. I just want you. The rest can come later..."

She tilted her head up and pressed a soft kiss against the side of his neck, then stayed there.

"So don’t feel like you have to give me something just because Florence is pregnant, or because the others might want it someday. I’m already getting what I want."

Brandon stayed quiet for a moment hearing her words, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.

Ravene nuzzled into him, then lifted her hand and gently turned his face toward hers.

Her thumb brushed slowly across his cheek "I’m not in a rush to have a child. But I also won’t pretend I haven’t thought about what this household is going to look like in a few years."

"Florence is already pregnant. Once the baby is here, everything will feel more different... the others will also want to have kids."

Ravene continued, "I’m fine with that. Really. I don’t need to be the one carrying a child to feel secure in what we have."

"I already know where I stand with you. But... I do want us to be honest about what comes next."

"Not just about kids... about how we’re all going to live with this. Charlotte’s still adjusting. The younger ones have their own feelings. And Marzella..."

She trailed off for a moment, "When she wakes up, everything we’ve built is going to be tested."

"I can handle all of that... But I don’t want us to keep drifting forward without talking about what we actually want this life to look like."

She leaned in and pressed a soft kiss against the corner of his mouth, "So... what do you want, Kael? Not just for me. For all of us. In the long run."

Brandon looked into her eyes and replied with a smile "Eternity..."

Ravene blinked once, and her thumb, which had been resting against his cheek, stilled ’Huh?’

Brandon’s smile deepened just a little as he continued "I want this to last. Not just for a few years. I want to keep building this life together for as long as we can."

"Eternity. Or as close to it as we can get."
