General, Your Wife Is Requesting Your Return Home For Farming Chapter 1
Chapter 1: The Big Wedding
“He Tongsheng! Don't you dare run!”
“Fatty Su! Give it up! I would never marry you in a million years!”
Today was supposed to be the most important day for Fat Lass Su, yet her groom had actually deserted her at the altar. She was absolutely fuming!
He Tongsheng had been tricked by the matchmaker. Xinghua Village was home to two different Su families. One was the highly respected Su household, known for their clean ancestry as commoners and their impeccable reputation. Their daughter was a legendary beauty, the kind of woman every man in the village dreamed of wedlock with.
While marrying into a wife's family wasn't the most prestigious move, it was a sacrifice worth making for the beautiful Su lady. Furthermore, the dowry offered was incredibly lavish—a staggering 20 taels of silver!
With that much money, his dreams of continuing his studies were finally within reach.
Who could have guessed that after the ceremonies were completed, he would discover he had married into the *other* Su family!
One look at Fatty Su’s aggressive, terrifying face made him want to drop dead on the spot.
“You took my betrothal money, so you're my husband now!”
“In your dreams!”
He Tongsheng bolted, not daring to cast a single glance back.
In an instant, Fatty Su became the laughing stock of the whole village.
Gripping a butcher's knife, she gave chase but suddenly lost her footing. She tripped and slammed her head against the doorframe, resulting in a massive, painful welt.
By the time her father, Su Cheng, reached the house, she was already sprawled unconscious on the ground.
Panic seized Su Cheng. He desperately wanted to embrace his daughter and play the role of the protective father, but her weight was simply more than he could lift.
Left with no choice, he frantically shook her shoulders. “Daya! Don’t scare your father like this! Wake up!”
“Dad! He’s already fled toward the town!”
It was her younger brother, Su Ergou, who shouted the news.
Upon hearing Ergou's words, the briefly conscious Fat Lass Su rolled her eyes back and fainted once more.
Su Cheng ground his teeth, his fists clenched in a silent rage. “Is it just a husband she needs? Fine! I'll go kidnap one for you!”
True to his word, Su Cheng immediately dragged his son along to hunt down a replacement groom.
He refused to believe that no man would take his daughter!
“Father.”
Su Ergou gestured toward the deserted village streets. “It looks like everyone has locked their doors.”
Su Cheng paused, momentarily stunned. However, he didn't give up. Instead, he led his son toward the official road to wait for an opportunity.
As luck would have it, they stumbled upon a violent skirmish. It appeared a band of outlaws had ambushed a traveling merchant.
The merchant had likely escaped, leaving a single masked bodyguard to fend off the bandits alone.
Hiding behind a nearby ridge, the father and son watched the battle on the road with intense focus.
“Dad, which one are we taking?” Su Ergou whispered from the tall grass.
Su Cheng lay flat, a cunning glint in his eyes. “The strongest one, the one with a sturdy waist—the kind that can ensure children!”
Su Ergou looked confused. “Isn't giving birth a woman's job?”
Su Cheng snapped at his son. “If a man’s waist is weak, how is a woman supposed to conceive?”
“Oh.” Su Ergou nodded in realization.
After a fierce struggle, the masked guard managed to take down eight bandits. However, the victory cost him dearly; he was bleeding heavily and completely drained of strength.
Consequently, when the Su father and son launched a sneak attack from behind, he didn't even have the breath to resist before a sack was thrown over his head.
As they prepared to haul him away, a soft rustle came from the abandoned carriage.
Was there someone else inside?
Su Cheng cautiously drew his wood-cutting knife and yanked back the curtain!
The sight inside the carriage left him completely speechless.
... .
Back at the Su residence.
Lying on the vibrant red wedding bed, Su Xiaoxiao opened her eyes for the eighth time. Finally, the reality set in: this wasn't a dream.
She had truly transmigrated.
She had gone from being a prestigious military doctor and top-tier sniper to an ignorant village girl in an ancient era, weighing over 200 pounds.
Not only was she incredibly lazy, but she was also the local bully.
Her father, Su Cheng, and her brother, Su Ergou, were also notorious thugs. The three of them terrorized the village, though it must be said that her father and brother absolutely adored her.
Recently, she had set her sights on a man named He Tongsheng from a nearby village. Father Su had emptied their savings to pay a matchmaker to secure him as a live-in son-in-law.
Today was the wedding day, but it turned out He Tongsheng had been misled by the matchmaker. Once the truth came out, he abandoned the ceremony and ran for his life.
It was the first time she’d ever heard of a groom escaping his own wedding.
Quite the spectacle!
However, what truly shocked Su Xiaoxiao wasn't the failed marriage, but the fact that Father Su had set out to literally "snatch" a new husband to finish the wedding.
Could he actually catch a man for her?
As Su Xiaoxiao was processing these memories, Su Cheng and Su Ergou finally returned.
“Daughter! You’re finally awake!”
Su Cheng burst into the room. Seeing his daughter staring blankly at the ceiling, he rushed over and grabbed her plump hand.
“You nearly scared the life out of me! Don’t you ever do something so reckless again, you hear? That He kid isn't worth it! One of these days, I'll chop him up and toss him to the pigs!”
Su Xiaoxiao felt awkward with this new family. After a brief pause, she managed to say, “I’m alright.”
Su Cheng looked at her with a grave expression. “You really are okay. You aren't even crying.”
Did she need to throw a fit to satisfy him?
According to her memories, the original Fatty Su was exactly like that. Whenever things went wrong, she would scream and wreck the house.
Su Cheng spoiled her so much he could never bring himself to discipline her.
This had only made Fatty Su more arrogant and her temper more volatile.
Trying to stay in character, Su Xiaoxiao said, “I've realized he isn't good enough for me anyway! Next time, don't worry about it—I’ll handle things myself!”
“That’s my girl!” Su Cheng beamed with pride.
He sat on the edge of the bed, a mysterious grin forming on his face. “Dad has some good news and some bad news. Which one do you want first?”
“It doesn't matter.”
“I've caught a husband for you! He’s ten times more handsome than that He Tongsheng! You’re going to love him!”
Good heavens!
He actually kidnapped a man?
How was she supposed to react to this?
“Then... what’s the good news?” she asked, feeling dazed.
Su Cheng gave her a puzzled look. Wasn't what he just said the good news?
Whatever, if she wanted more good news, he would provide it.
Su Cheng cleared his throat and grinned widely. “The good news is, you don’t have to worry about the pain of childbirth anymore! My new son-in-law already came with children!”
Su Xiaoxiao nearly choked on her own breath.
What did that even mean? Was there a single sane person in this family?
Su Cheng signaled toward the door. “Ergou, bring them in!”
“Coming!”
Su Ergou shouted back and pushed the door open.
Su Xiaoxiao turned her head and saw not one, not two, but three... adorable little children standing in a row with their small bundles. Her brother, Su Ergou, ushered them inside.
Old Father Su gestured toward them with a chuckle. “Surprised? You got three for the price of one!”
Su Xiaoxiao was utterly speechless.
