Lila revealed how the Broken Wing Clan, under its new king, transformed the Throne Corridor into a tool of domination over second-tier powers, demanding tribute and submission of resources from all, including the beleaguered Stone Giants. The clan swiftly crushed the Frost Fire Giants in a night of apocalyptic destruction and subdued other defiant alliances through superior force and hidden pacts. Facing ongoing plunder and decline, the Stone Giants have endured in silence. Leo Ray vows to end their subjugation and rises to meet the arriving envoys.

“These rigid and unyielding fools just can’t grasp the essence of art or luxury. Each time I come here, that sickening dirt smell wafts from this massive fortress.”

Inside the vast, illuminated reception hall of the Stone Giant’s castle, a skinny man with murky eyes brimming with loathing spat onto the carpet, his expression twisted in frustration as he snapped, “Keeping me waiting this long—looks like the Stone Giants’ glory days are done.”

With those words, the skinny man flicked his vivid Robe of Flames, shot a glance at the pair of Stone Giant servants by the entrance, and snarled loudly, “Go hurry up your incompetent lords right now—I won’t waste more time here!”

The two young Stone Giant servants offered no reply upon hearing this, simply nodding quietly before starting to turn away.

“You wretched dogs, daring to show me sour faces?”

The skinny man’s countenance darkened, and he slammed his palm down hard on the chair’s armrest.

Flames danced wildly in his hand, instantly reducing the whole armrest to a pile of ash that scattered across the floor.

No sooner had he spoken than his escort of Black Armor Guards strode forward boldly, blocking the path of the two Stone Giant servants.

The Black Armor captain leading them bared a sinister grin, launched himself off the ground, and drove a punch straight into the gut of one Stone Giant servant.

A dull “boom” echoed as the unprepared Stone Giant servant flew back, his huge frame slamming into the reception hall’s wall like a battered ragdoll, blood gushing from his mouth at once.

Meanwhile, the remaining Black Armor Guards charged in, pummeling the second Stone Giant servant into a pulp of blood and bruises, the air thickening with a heavy metallic tang.

The sneering, savage expressions on these Black Armor warriors’ faces showed they were no strangers to such brutality, their demeanor utterly unrestrained and savage.

Even with their grievous wounds, the two young Stone Giant servants refused to yield, heaving ragged breaths while fixing glares on the skinny man.

These two hovered merely at Tier 4, whereas every Black Armor warrior was a solid Tier 6; a mere snap of their fingers could squash the pair dead instantly. They held back only to treat them as punching bags for now.

Thus, despite their far greater size compared to the Black Armor warriors, the immense disparity in strength left them utterly helpless.

“Looks like you lot still refuse to learn. Don’t fault this envoy for showing no mercy.”

Staring into the eyes of those two Stone Giant servants, the skinny man’s gaze turned icy with killing intent as he gestured to the lead Black Armor captain.

“Heh heh, right away, sir.”

The Black Armor captain flashed an obsequious grin at the skinny man, then barreled toward the two faltering Stone Giants with crushing force, radiating pure savagery.

Right at that moment, however, the reception hall doors burst open, revealing Leo Ray and Lila stepping in among the Stone Giants at the threshold.

“What’s this?!”

Spotting the two Stone Giant servants crumpled on the ground, Lila’s eyes bulged wide, and she demanded of the lofty envoy, “What exactly happened here?”

“Oh, just a trifle—two unruly mutts. I simply assisted Lord Clan Leader in disciplining them.”

The skinny man feigned casualness, and though he called her Lord Clan Leader, his voice dripped with scorn rather than deference, “What’s this, Lord Clan Leader? Planning to whine about this envoy over them?”

“Nox, you’ve crossed the line!”

Before Lila could answer, Kira advanced, her brows furrowed in fury at the arrogant envoy, “Who struck just now? You won’t escape this!”

“Oh? We’re all from the Throne Corridor here; does the Grand Elder mean to set the Stone Giants against the Throne Corridor?”

Nox rustled his Robe of Flames once more, his features radiating smug certainty, “In that case, this envoy will chat with my master about it.”

“You…”

Kira’s fiery nature flared up, poised to snap back, yet Lila held her in check.

Lila gave her a shake of the head, her face etched with utter resignation.

Truth be told, these incidents weren’t new; at first, the Throne Corridor envoys had been rude but not so brazen.

Yet lately, with more second-tier factions submitting, these Throne Corridor envoys had become ever more overbearing.

The Stone Giants weren’t alone—even the Half-Titans and fellow second-tier groups faced the same, their leaders forced to grit their teeth and endure, powerless against them, lest they end up like the Frost Fire Giants and others.

Suddenly, not just Lila and Kira, but Payton and the rest of the Stone Giant elders could only bow their heads in impotent frustration.

Thanks to the intentional blockade by those Throne Corridor Black Armor warriors, they couldn’t even aid the two Stone Giant servants, forced to watch as the pair’s breaths grew fainter.

“Clearly, Lord Clan Leader knows better.”

A sleazy spark lit Nox’s eyes as he leered openly at the lithe figures of Lila and Kira from head to toe.
