Leo Ray and his group investigated a sunken area revealing recent marks from erased 'Corrosion', marks that none of them had created. Puzzled by the fresh mana traces indicating the act occurred less than half an hour prior, they uncovered a newly carved emblem on a nearby slab: a 'Corrosion' symbol crossed out. Moli identified it as the insignia of the Erosion Erasers, a secretive organization known to elite forces for aggressively eliminating 'Corrosion' threats, often intruding on territories and clashing with groups like the Forest Elves, though the Human Clan remains unaware of their existence.

As they drew near to the enigmatic emblem hidden in the heart of the ruins, Moli paused for a considerable while before placing her hands on her hips once more, dodging the question with, “I can’t recall, I’ve got zero curiosity about those shady mysterious types!”

“Yet you described the earlier events with such precision.”

Observing the hesitant look on her companion's face, Leo Ray narrowed his eyes a bit and remarked, “Is it possible that despite all those clashes, you still haven’t uncovered the real identity of those individuals?”

“No way! We Forest Elves reign supreme among the Ten Thousand Clans. Even if every third-class and second-tier power banded together, they wouldn’t budge us one bit! You have no idea how formidable those ancient powerhouses are; any single one could take on an entire faction alone! Not to mention our mighty Grand Army.”

Words poured out of Moli rapidly, like popping beans, obviously an effort to maintain her pride, as she messily clarified, “How could we fail to uncover the origins of some secretive group? I simply forgot!”

“Were you truly able to investigate them, you wouldn’t label the Erosion Erasers as mysterious and unidentified.”

Leo Ray promptly pierced through Moli’s evasion with a wry smile.

“Maybe those elders discovered it! They merely kept it from me, nothing more!”

Though her words stumbled a little, Moli stubbornly fought to reclaim her composure, adding, “Even so, if the Forest Elves can’t unravel it, then it’s an absolute enigma!”

“Fine, fine, I overstepped; it’s undoubtedly an unsolvable mystery.”

Noticing Moli’s head—with its distinctive pointed ears—nearly bursting in frustration, Leo Ray chose not to argue further and instead turned his attention to pondering the cryptic emblem before him.

Based on what Moli shared, it becomes evident that the Erosion Erasers aren’t viewed as allies; they appear more as fanatics gripped by an intense fixation on eliminating “Corrosion,” going so far as to harm the guiltless.

Currently, the Great Catastrophe remains contained, with the extent of “Corrosion” still quite contained. Nevertheless, these individuals have begun razing villages and injuring innocents.

Should the Great Catastrophe erupt in full force, it’s anyone’s guess what extremes the Erosion Erasers might pursue in their purge, which explains why the Peak Powers harbor such hostility toward them, possibly viewing them as outright enemies.

However, this stems entirely from Moli’s secondhand accounts, as she’s never seen it firsthand. Given the Forest Elves’ arrogant and overbearing demeanor, certain facts might be hidden; at minimum, the Erosion Erasers haven’t stirred any chaos in the Human Domain and pose no threat to us.

Moreover, it’s astonishing that even the Forest Elves failed to pinpoint the Erosion Erasers’ secrets, yet they manage to rival the many Peak Powers, indicating their power is just as profound and elusive.

“Who would have thought that, apart from the various Peak Powers, such a profound Mysterious Organization lurks on this continent—it’s truly surprising.”

“Additionally, judging by these lingering signs, it’s apparent that prior to our group’s arrival back at Observation City—or perhaps right upon our return—these figures silently cleared out the ‘Corrosions,’ maybe even brushing past us unnoticed.”

This realization caused Leo Ray to crease his forehead once again.

Should the group have already departed discreetly, handling it would prove simpler, given Moli’s intel that these fanatics focus solely on “Corrosion,” disregarding everything else.

Still, the possibility exists that they’ve blended in among my elite fighters.

As Leo Ray considered this, his eyes scanned repeatedly over the formidable figures surrounding him.

“To start, none of my immediate followers could be suspects, such as Broy, Crisis, Fanny, Bruno, or newly aligned tribal heads like Nathan Howard. Next, Moli herself is ruled out, since she’s stayed close to me ever since we got back. So, might it be the powerhouses serving those tribal leaders?”

“Unlikely there either. In the recent division of search parties, every unit was commanded by a tribal chief; none of their elite underlings had opportunity for independent moves.”

“Furthermore, the sole group lacking a tribal overseer was the Dwarf Elves, yet Konet along with the other Dwarf Elf masters were busy protecting Asher Porter, Kara, and the severely wounded experts. They had no opening to slip away on their own.”

“On top of that, before reaching Observation City, neither Moli nor my own powerhouses possessed the ability to eradicate ‘Corrosion.’ If any were Erosion Erasers incapable of doing so, it wouldn’t add up.”

“Thus, the chances are higher that they vanished quietly prior to our return. For that matter, Sheila and the other Stone Spirits sensed no Stone Spirit presence at all.”

“Regardless, I need to promptly inform all my kings and generals about this to hunt for additional leads. Though their aim is exclusively ‘Corrosion,’ staying vigilant against unforeseen issues is wise. Regarding if they’re allies or adversaries, further scrutiny is essential before judging hastily.”

With his thoughts organized, Leo Ray gave a nod to the assembled powerhouses and announced, “Given that the Erosion Erasers visited this place earlier, combined with our recent inspection, it confirms the ‘Corrosion’ has been totally purged here. Time to go.”
