Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2636: 1451: Return and Roar

Amid the fringes of a vast desert, thick plumes of smoke billowed upward fiercely, while waves of energy surged outward like a raging storm, forcing every nearby demon beast to flee in terror and huddle in hidden spots, shaking uncontrollably.
Intense barrages from magic cannons echoed across the skies, firing relentlessly from every side of the massive city and lighting up the dark night as brightly as midday.
Subjected to nonstop assaults, the once-solid barrier of absolute defense surrounding the giant city now displayed clear fractures, teetering on the brink of total collapse.
This very place stands as our Desolate Fortress, surrounded by the sandy banners of the Desert Alliance that extended endlessly, forming an unbreakable siege around it.
“Clan Leader, the mages powering the absolute defense barrier from the fortress’s magic towers are reaching their limits!”
Standing atop the fortress walls, Cassie’s expression brimmed with gravity as she informed Haneltree: “Even allies such as the flower fairies, dwarf elves, and minotaurs among them—numerous mages have fallen victim to magic backlash from depleted mana, their blood splattering across the walls and floors of each magic tower, turning them crimson.”
Once Cassie had delivered her update, her gaze swept over the battle-ready troops lining the city wall, encompassing trolls, dwarf elves, minotaurs, heavy infantry bearing anti-magic giant shields, and archers with arrows nocked.
Confronted by the imminent failure of the absolute defense and the unyielding onslaught of cannon blasts hammering the barrier, sweat soaked many of them, but they clutched their swords and longbows tightly, showing no sign of easing up.
“Instruct all to endure; the Human Emperor will definitely come back and end this chaos.”
Haneltree’s weathered, rugged features radiated resolve as he gave a firm nod to Cassie, declaring: “Should we fail to last until His Majesty’s arrival, we’ll delay the foes for as long as possible to grant His Majesty more time!”
“Rest assured, our forces are set to clash to the death with the invaders. Beyond those defending the walls, every physical legion waits poised at the fortress gates; the moment the enemy launches an assault, we’ll surge forward!”
Cassie balled her hands into fists, her tone unyielding: “The Human Emperor rescued us and showed us boundless mercy like the sea itself, and now we repay that by staking our lives for the Human Emperor!”
With Cassie’s declaration hanging in the air, Broy, Konet, Fanny, Bruno, and the rest overseeing different sections of the fortress mirrored her sentiment, clearly committed to battling on Leo Ray’s behalf until the end.
Beyond the walls of Desolate Fortress, though, a contrasting atmosphere prevailed in the enemy’s encampment.
“Lord Vice Leader, those pests inside are on the verge of breaking!”
Within the bold setup of the Moon Demon Wolf Clan’s camp, a burly Moon Demon Wolf officer approached Lucas with excitement, bowing as he announced: “A slaughter awaits us soon!”
Yet the burly Moon Demon Wolf officer’s report ended abruptly when Lucas struck him with a powerful slap, sending him tumbling over ten meters across the dirt.
Lucas’s lupine features darkened with anger as he snarled coldly: “What vice leader? There’s none here.”
At those words, a lean Moon Demon Wolf officer hurriedly chimed in, delivering a few kicks to the burly one before scolding: “Fool, remember that when we marched on Desolate Fortress, the Clan Leader claimed the leader’s standard—watch your tongue!”
After the burly officer was dragged off, the lean one drew closer to Lucas once more, speaking deferentially: “Lord Leader, apart from my Moon Demon Wolf Army and Belinda’s Medusa Army, the alliance’s other key groups—like the desert fox people, desert needlemen, and swamp fishmen—have only mounted feeble strikes, clearly holding back, while the desert catmen ignore your summons entirely, begging for destruction!”
“No need for concern; after the Human Emperor falls, they’ll learn this leader’s true power, provided they submit to this leader without delay.”
Lucas kept his face impassive, though a flicker of murderous intent gleamed in his wolfish gaze as he stated evenly: “Regarding those desert catmen, this leader has planned their utter annihilation for some time; they’ll make a fine offering to the Witch Demon, one I’m certain this leader’s partner will appreciate greatly.”
A sinister, chilling grin twisted Lucas’s mouth as he added: “These defiant insects ahead will likewise end up as slaves to the Witch Demon; soon, aided by the Witch Demon, not just the Desert Alliance but the Rainforest Fortress too will bow to this leader’s command!”
“Lord Leader is invincible!”
The lean officer jumped at the chance to praise, dipping his head in deep obeisance.
As the lean officer withdrew, Lucas turned to the cloaked form at his side with a grin: “Witch Demon Vice Leader Excellency, does this please you? The stubborn resisters trapped in the fortress will serve as your undead slaves and sustenance for your forbidden arts.”
“Hehe, Desert Leader Excellency understates it; we’re simply aiding one another.”
A raspy voice emerged, the cloaked figure casting off the hood to expose a grotesque Witch Demon face, grinning back: “Have no doubt, Desert Leader Excellency, we’ll honor our vow and aid you in seizing the Desert Alliance and Rainforest Fortress entirely—naturally, once that pesky Human Emperor is erased for good.”
“And at this point, the Human Emperor faces certain doom.”
With that, the Witch Demon Vice Leader’s wild, malevolent cackles rang out, blending into the thunderous roar of magic cannon blasts until they faded away entirely.
