Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2630: 1448: One Astonishment After Another

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Leo Ray and his Catman experts examined the gruesome bite marks on slain Medusas, ruling out internal conflict or invading beasts, and concluded a mysterious third-party force had emerged inexplicably within the heavily restricted Holy Land. Arriving at the disrupted coronation hall amid scattered bodies of elite Tier 6 Medusas, they found no trace of Belinda or Sina, only a terrified maid who described invincible creatures bursting from white walls to devour all in their path. Following faint cries down a glowing passage, they witnessed one such fist-sized white floating object swell and consume a Medusa expert whole, before it turned and lunged toward them.

As the white floating object hurtled toward them, a sudden wave of intense killing intent erupted from its fist-sized round form, making its hostile purpose unmistakable to Leo Ray, Lannis, and the rest.

Leo Ray spotted something on its front.

The white round body featured just a single black spot right in the middle, looking like an eerie eye or a miniature edition of “Corrosion” prior to sprouting tentacles.

“Little Jie, Xiao Jing, give me your power.”

With a mere thought, Leo Ray called forth the unique energy designed to combat “Corrosion,” which rushed from deep within the two [God’s Stone] and fused seamlessly with him.

Regardless of this creature's true nature, given its immunity to ordinary strikes just like “Corrosion,” deploying the Stone Spirits' special energy was undoubtedly the smartest move.

“Quintuple Thunderfall Skill!”

A brilliant purple beam shot out wherever Leo Ray aimed his magic wand, transforming the whole chamber into a storm of violet chaos.

Even though the thunderous boom faded away, the white floating object halted briefly yet stayed unscathed, charging back soon after with murderous fury reaching the heavens.

In the midst of this chaos, Lannis and the other powerful Catmen unleashed their skills—arrows from bows, hurled spears, swinging axes, magical blasts—all sorts of distant assaults struck the foe but got easily repelled.

Guided by Lannis and the elder in gray armor, a handful of Tier 6 Catmen dashed ahead fearlessly, slashing and clawing with their lengthy blades, only to get hurled aside without leaving a mark on it.

“It’s not just resistant to normal assaults; even the countermeasures for ‘Corrosion’ don’t work? What on earth is this?”

A flicker of shock appeared in Leo Ray’s gaze, and now the white floating object loomed dangerously close!

As it drew near, the fist-sized form abruptly swelled up, unveiling a gaping black maw like an endless void, utterly dark within.

That’s when Leo Ray realized the black spot on its exterior wasn’t an eye at all, but rather a voracious abyss of a mouth that consumed all in its path!

“Lord, watch out!”

In an instant, Little Jie and Xiao Jing reverted to their [God’s Stone] shapes, both leaping in to protect Leo Ray.

With Little Jie and Xiao Jing on the scene, Leo Ray observed how the now-enlarged white floating object seemed genuinely frightened, swerving off course and targeting Lannis instead, who had barely steadied himself close by.

“Now I get it, I’ve figured out its vulnerability!”

Having grasped the key insight, Leo Ray swung his hand to unleash yet another Thunderfall, hitting the white floating object square on just as it neared Lannis for the kill.

Another earth-shaking roar echoed, and this time the white floating object shattered into a heap of white grains, vanishing swiftly into the atmosphere.

Witnessing Leo Ray triumph over the odd white eyeball, the Catman powerhouses let out relieved sighs, their faces lighting up with uncontainable thrill.

They had no clue how the Human Majesty pulled it off, but the lethal threat was over, and their leader was out of danger.

“I owe my life to the Majesty of Humans; without you, I’d be gone.”

Lannis gave Leo Ray a grateful nod.

Recalling the earlier attempt by the weird white eyeball to swallow him, the middle-aged Catman leader couldn’t shake off the chill, beads of sweat forming on his brow.

When the enemy closed in, his limbs had frozen solid, leaving him helpless to evade, forced to stare as the dark maw approached.

It was no surprise the Medusa warriors took such brutal losses; this bizarre white eyeball proved truly terrifying.

“Clan Leader, no need to stand on ceremony; I simply have an ability that scares it off.”

Leo Ray drew in a steadying breath, swiftly piecing together the ongoing events in his thoughts.

The force he’d employed moments ago was, of course, the Power of Divine Grace.

He’d pieced it together from how the foe recoiled in terror from Little Jie and Xiao Jing.

After all, being divine artifacts, the Stone Spirits drew their energy from holy origins, which boiled down to a type of Power of Divine Grace.

If the enemy dreaded the Stone Spirits’ might, it stood to reason it would fear his own Power of Divine Grace too.

“This proves these white floating objects differ from ‘Corrosion’; they demand distinct energies to destroy. Still, their looks and defenses mirror each other closely—could there be a connection?”

“Too bad the ‘Prompting Voice’ held back on divine hints this round; otherwise, I might’ve revealed the enemy’s real identity.”

“For now, though, locating Sina comes first.”

With that in mind, Leo Ray glanced toward the corner where a few quivering Medusa survivors huddled, then signaled to Lannis, who caught on right away and directed the Catman warriors to encircle them.

The Medusas, spotting Leo Ray’s party—the uninvited guests at the coronation site—closing in, displayed no aggression and willingly yielded to Lannis’s forces, stripping off their gear.

It made perfect sense; from their shaky state, the Medusas were plainly petrified by the unstoppable freakish white eyeball, and spotting Leo Ray vanquish their horror felt like clutching a lifeline they refused to release.
