Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2584: 1424: Strategy and Deployment (Part 2)

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Leo Ray and his council deliberate on the reliability of the Seekers’ warnings regarding the impending Great Catastrophe and the influence of "Corrosion." Despite the inability to mentally probe the Seekers, Leo Ray remains confident in their intelligence, shifting the focus toward the mysterious mission once issued by the Hero King. By connecting the "Prompting Voice" to the creation of the Magic Barrier, Leo Ray identifies a strategy to locate and fortify the cataclysm rifts before the barrier fails. Though the task of finding these invisible cracks seems impossible, Leo Ray hints that the Seekers' own arrival on the surface provides the essential trail needed to begin the search.

Chapter 1424: Strategy and Deployment (Part 2)

“Lord, are you suggesting that the potential vulnerabilities in the Magic Barrier align perfectly with the points where the magical leylines erupted?”

Shelly’s eyes lit up with instant realization. She exclaimed, “My Lord, your deduction is flawless. Even though the fissures caused by the magical leyline eruptions were patched, those spots remain the most fragile segments of the entire magical restriction!”

The Wood Fairies who possessed the most sophisticated grasp of magic, such as Crisis, nodded in fervent agreement following Shelly’s remark. It was a certainty that the mended portions of the Barrier were structurally inferior to the rest!

One must remember that the Wood Fairies possess an intricate understanding of magic barriers, much like the Flower Fairies who once maintained the Barrier for the ancient Human Tribe.

“Precisely. Should the Magic Barrier fracture, it will most likely happen at these previous breach points—locations like the ruins of the Loren Royal City or the Dragon Nest’s depths at Mist Dream Peak.”

Leo Ray affirmed Shelly’s assessment before continuing, “Consequently, we must prioritize the surveillance of these sites and install the necessary Absolute Defense Barriers. I will convene a meeting later tonight to organize these deployments.”

Leo Ray was acutely aware that while King West’s mission implied the Great Catastrophe’s cracks would manifest in the Human Domain, there was no guarantee they wouldn’t appear simultaneously across other sectors of the Outer Region.

None of these territories could be neglected. As his influence expanded, more of the Outer Region fell under his protection. He had to ensure a total deployment within every area under his command.

As Leo Ray contemplated the future, the resolve in the eyes of the assembled powerhouses grew stronger.

The Lord’s strategic foresight had undeniably bolstered their morale in the fight against the ‘Corrosion’!

“Your Majesty, should we cease our search for Great Catastrophe cracks within the zones of Dislocated Objects and Dimensional Storms?”

The Grey Elder asked after a moment of quiet reflection.

“No, I intend to increase our investment of gold, resources, and personnel there. Even if those two avenues of investigation don't lead directly to the Great Catastrophe, they represent mysteries we have yet to solve. We can adjust our focus, but the inquiry must persist.”

Leo Ray rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he answered, “The mystery of the Dislocated Objects remains, and the Dimensional Storms have become increasingly frequent lately. We can manage them now, but the underlying cause of their formation still eludes us.”

“I understand, Your Majesty.”

The Grey Elder’s weathered face clouded with a frown as he spoke again, “Your Majesty, there is another pressing issue: the situation at Old Nick’s site.”

“That teleportation portal deep within the cave is difficult to power, yet it undeniably connects to unknown ruins where ‘Corrosion’ was—and perhaps still is—active.”

Ariel Watson immediately supported the Grey Elder’s point, saying, “Indeed, my Lord. A magical leyline eruption definitely occurred there, and its proximity to Viennas City is concerning. If the enemy repairs that gate, even a small force would be a grave threat to the nearby Coldflame Citizens.”

“That requires our full attention. I will oversee a total deployment of the area, including the cave, and move the local population to safety. Once I am available, I will personally scout those ruins to wipe out the ‘Corrosion’ within.”

Leo Ray nodded firmly, his expression sharpening.

“Lord, what are your orders regarding the White Knight?”

Shelly bowed, seeking further instruction. “Should it remain here as a safeguard? However, this is the very heart of the Coldflame Palace.”

“It would be beneficial to find a location with properties similar to the Lion King Temple, ideally one distanced from major population centers and the seat of power.”

The Grey Elder stroked his beard in agreement.

“Crystal Blue City fits that description.”

After a brief thought, Leo Ray realized the solution. “Chasing Light Castle functions very much like the Lion King Temple. It would be perfect if it could accommodate others besides Sean Parker and his group.”

“Even though Crystal Blue City is confined to the Human Domain, it offers the ability to reach any distant point in an instant.”

Leo Ray then turned to Shelly and Elder Bing. “I am entrusting the two of you with a full investigation of Chasing Light Castle. As its master, I will provide you with maximum clearance to the Miracle Building to aid your research. Until then, the White Knight will stay in the depths of the Lion King Temple, guarded by the Stone Spirit holder and the Stone Spirits on a rotating basis.”

“As you command, my Lord!”

The group responded with a unified bow, their voices echoing together.

“In that case, we should depart as well.”

Leo Ray finished speaking and began to lead the way out.

Upon his return to Lion Castle, Leo Ray’s first action was to call a massive assembly. He summoned the Seven Kings of the humans, Quinn Serena, various Lord representatives, and Outer Region leaders like Crisis to brief them on the intelligence regarding the Great Catastrophe. This marked the first time Leo Ray had gathered the entirety of his primary forces for such a large-scale summit.

After explaining the situation in detail, his second move was to implement a rigorous defense and monitoring network at every site within his territory where a magical leyline had erupted.

Once the grim-faced leaders departed to execute their tasks, Leo Ray finally breathed a sigh of relief and retired to the Queen’s chambers with Ariel Watson.

“My Lord, after being so busy for so long, we can finally catch our breath.”

Ariel Watson sighed with emotion as she served Leo Ray a cup of steaming tea.

“This is merely the start. We face more than just the coming Great Catastrophe; there are powerful entities in the deep reaches of the Outer Regions that we cannot yet challenge.”

Leo Ray smiled, holding the warm cup. “Still, we are no longer walking this difficult path alone. Our circle of allies continues to grow.”

“You are right, my Lord. It was breathtaking to see so many powerhouses from the Outer Region gathered together. Even Queen Catherine was stunned, and Cecilia, Lawrence, Eckhart, Willy, and Phil were visibly nervous.”

Ariel Watson’s eyes sparkled as she enjoyed this private moment with Leo Ray. She continued excitedly, “The fairies were charming, the Treants were so steady, and the Dwarf Elves seemed quite kind. The Trolls and Minotaurs were the most intimidating due to their sheer size.”

“Yet they all showed such deep respect for you, my Lord. It is heartening, considering those races have historically looked down on humanity.”

“And that Dragonborn Queen... she looks so much like us, it was quite a shock…”

Leo Ray sipped his tea, smiling as he listened to Ariel Watson’s rambling.

Despite her voice filling the room, he felt a rare sense of tranquility.

However, despite the progress, one concern remained heavy on his mind.

He needed better ways to combat the ‘Corrosion.’ Depending entirely on the [Stone of God] felt too restrictive.

During the conflict at the Dragon Nest, he had nearly drained the Stone Spirits of all their strength.

“Are there other methods to damage the ‘Corrosion’? regardless, I must accelerate the search for more [Stone of God].”

Leo Ray nodded to himself at the thought.

Furthermore, another critical matter was fast approaching.
