Endless Evolution: Last Star Chapter 1977: Blue-Eyed Figure

For Raoha, Luaxa, and the rest, the plan was extremely simple. They would head to Island A215 and kill Breydar.
Sure, they weren’t fools and understood that Breydar would fight to the very end. He simply had nowhere to retreat, and defeating them was his only chance of survival.
Now, they were closer to their target than ever before.
The crystal pillars had stopped firing, which meant Island A215 no longer had any energy left that Breydar could use to attack them.
It was the perfect moment to strike. And that’s exactly what they did.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
With a crash, Raoha and the bearded man landed on the island. Luaxa and the two young men were next.
"Breydar!" Raoha exclaimed as she stomped her foot on the ground. "Show yourself! We know you’re on this island! You have nowhere left to run!"
Since they were all at roughly the same level, Raoha couldn’t tell where Breydar was if he was completely hiding his aura.
But when they were chasing him and he activated the crystal pillars, he had to release a little of his energy. So the clan squad knew he was there and that he hadn’t gone anywhere.
After all, even if they couldn’t sense his energy, all their other senses were highly attuned.
If Breydar had tried to sneak away from the island, he wouldn’t have been able to do so unnoticed. Raoha or someone else would have heard or seen his movements.
However, nothing was happening right now.
"Hmm..." The bearded man hummed in his deep voice. "I don’t think any of us expected him to come out for a fair fight. We should split up and check every spot on this island. If one of the teams finds him, don’t engage in battle, just return to the rest of us."
Raoha nodded.
"He’s right. There are five of us, so... we can split into two teams, with two and three people each."
Before they could do so, Luaxa stepped forward.
While Raoha wanted to carry out their mission and defend their clan’s honor, for Luaxa, this was a personal matter. Breydar had taken the power that should have been hers. It was only because of him that she was still a Baron, even though not long ago she had been certain she would become a Viscount.
"BREYDAR!!!" Luaxa shouted at the top of her lungs.
Her voice made the nearby rocks tremble as ripples ran through the air.
However, no one appeared. Breydar wasn’t foolish enough to fall for such a simple provocation.
Everyone understood this, but right now, Luaxa was being driven by emotion rather than her calculating mind.
Raoha approached her.
"Luaxa, we have to stick to the plan. It’s one against five. It’s only to be expected that he won’t fight us head-on, even after we’ve expended our energy on those shots."
She clenched her fists tightly as her face contorted with anger.
"I know... But he stole the crystal from me! It would be fair if he stepped up to fight me!"
Raoha nodded as she touched Luaxa’s shoulder.
"I understand how you feel, but right now we have to—"
Whoooooooosh!
Suddenly, a shadow shot out of the darkness.
The figure with blue eyes appeared right in front of Raoha and Luaxa. Their faces froze in shock, as they hadn’t expected this.
Moreover, they both knew that Breydar had unusual amber eyes.
Clasp!
The figure’s hands fell upon Raoha and Luaxa’s as it leaped high into the air, carrying them along with it.
The first thing Raoha and Luaxa thought of was to free themselves, but the figure’s grip was stronger than they had expected.
"Raoha!" the bearded man exclaimed as he prepared to rush to her aid.
He turned to the two young men, the two Barons, and waved his hand.
"You! Help them! Follow me!"
The man took flight as the young men nodded, but things weren’t as simple as they would have liked.
Crack!
The ground cracked as the gray ghost arms emerged. They grabbed the bearded man and the young men by the legs, preventing them from taking flight and thus from helping Raoha and Luaxa.
"What...? What is this?!" The first young man was confused as he tried to break through the ghost arms, but he couldn’t. His energy strikes were too weak for that.
At the same time, both he and the second young man had energy types similar to those of the ghost arms. The first young man had a blue, misty flame, while the second had a green and calmer one.
They attacked the ghost arms, but their energy was weaker.
SLASH!
The bearded man’s palm, filled with blue mist energy, sliced through the ghost arms.
He lunged forward and freed the young men, who had been unable to escape on their own.
The bearded man sensed that something was wrong. His mind was working quickly, but he needed a little more time to figure out exactly what was happening here.
"Whatever, I have to help Raoha and Luaxa. If they split us up, they’ll get what they want!"
Tremble!
His aura burst forth as he headed upward, dragging the two young men behind him as his energy enveloped them in a firm grip.
Suddenly, two of the crystal pillars trembled as a bright flash struck the bearded man.
BLAST
A deafening explosion rang out in the middle of Island A215 as a wave of flame engulfed the three figures.
However, the bearded man hadn’t just expected this, he knew it would happen.
Tap. Tap.
The pebbles fell onto the mist barrier as the bearded man narrowed his blue eyes. He realized he wouldn’t be able to get away from here so easily.
"Gha..."
The man sighed heavily, shaking his head, while the young men looked around warily. Unlike him, they sensed danger coming from all sides.
"Come on, Breydar. Show yourself. You’ve done what you wanted, so there’s no point in hiding anymore."
Strangely enough, this time the man’s request wasn’t ignored.
Step. Step. Step.
Footsteps sounded from the side as a man with long gray hair and bright amber eyes emerged from the darkness.
The bearded man smiled bitterly.
"Hello, Breydar. Looks like you’ve been lucky enough to find an ally?"
Breydar gave him a long look.
"Well, not exactly, but he’ll help me kill you. That’s bound to happen."
