Endless Evolution: Last Star Chapter 1915: Two Radars and a White Flash

One last time, Adam turned around to check if anyone was hiding here, inside the stone sphere.
For some reason, he had a feeling that someone might be hiding here. He couldn’t believe he’d gotten lucky again and that there really was no one here.
But even after Adam tried to sense someone’s aura, he couldn’t do it.
"Alright, it looks like Ergander was right. I really am alone here. Then again, I shouldn’t be that surprised by this, should I?"
He narrowed his eyes, his gaze deep.
’The Fallen Amber Sun is an unusual area, but I think there are several like it in the Light Field, and the Light Field itself is enormous, even from this part of the world. After all, the Grand Abyss is located in the same territory as the Gray Sea.’
In fact, the Grand Abyss was significantly larger than the Gray Sea, at least from this distance.
The reason wasn’t even that the Grand Abyss was divided into the Light Field and the Dark Field, but that the Light Field wasn’t filled with water.
Only part of the Gray Sea held any value, namely, the islands, but in the Light Field, there was land everywhere.
’I think there are quite a few monsters here, but not enough to fill every square meter. And... Not everyone always needs the Vibrating Stones, right?’
He stepped forward, stopping in front of the Vibrating Stone. It protruded from the ground at just the right height to touch it with his hand.
’Who knows how long it will be before someone else comes here after me? Agh...’
Taking a deep breath, Adam focused and reached out his hand.
With a slight flutter of anticipation, Adam placed his palm on the Vibrating Stone.
He had never used anything like this before, but there was nothing complicated about it. All he had to do was direct the energy pulse into it.
Tremble!
A slight tremor ran through Adam as energy coursed through his arm, heading straight for the Vibrating Stone.
Tremble!
Another, more powerful tremor ran through him, but this time it didn’t come from Adam, it came from the Vibrating Stone as it finally activated.
A bright light emanated from the dark crystal, and soon, Adam saw what he had come here for.
The blue ring expanded from the Vibrating Stone, gradually speeding up and moving farther away. Then another ring, and another, until they began to resemble waves wandering across the ocean.
However, the rings didn’t go too far. They remained close to Adam, creating for him something like a 3D map on which he could see all the "dark spots."
"I see..." Adam muttered as he noticed that in some places the blue waves were interrupted, as if something were blocking them.
The "dark spots" were of various sizes, and several of them looked very similar to one another. This was strange, since they were far apart from each other and yet were significantly larger than the other "dark spots."
But soon a smile spread across Adam’s face as he recalled Ergander’s words.
’Right, these must be the Pearls? Damn... I see at least five. I’ve never used a Vibrating Stone before, so I don’t know how far away they are, but it looks like if I want to get them, I’ll have to travel quite a distance.’
For a while longer, Adam curiously studied the Vibrating Stone’s radar, but he knew he hadn’t come here for that.
"If everything is as I expected, then one of these dark spots is actually the Bottomless Void, but I’ll only be able to find out for sure if I use my own radar, won’t I?"
With these thoughts in mind, Adam closed his eyes as he found himself standing before the Path Construct.
He could activate his radar right now, but given the situation, he was hoping for something more. At least he had to try, since he wouldn’t get another chance like this.
Step. Step. Step.
Adam walked through the darkness as he stopped in front of the Path Construct. The multitude of stars shone brightly, but they all paled in comparison to two particularly bright ones, and a third was about to join them very soon.
"Show me where the Bottomless Void is. I’m not asking for exact directions or a map, but show me which way to go! I’m ready to go anywhere if I can create the Third Grand Star!"
As always, the Path Construct did not respond.
Unlike the Evolution Tree, the Path Construct was a completely different entity. It was neither Adam’s friend nor his enemy. It was a mechanism that had to function correctly so as not to disrupt Adam’s complex evolution.
Adam nodded and focused, preparing to do the same thing he had done on the surface of the Gray Sea.
The energy responded to his call as he slowly opened his eyes.
Now, the white waves and blue waves overlapped, rushing back and forth again and again in an endless cycle.
The two radars became one, and Adam immediately noticed a clear difference.
All the dark spots that had previously been clearly visible were no longer so, since his energy passed right through them, unlike the Vibrating Stone’s radar.
"Come on! It must be somewhere nearby!"
Adam’s eyes darted from side to side, searching for the one and only dark spot that should have remained visible on both radars.
But... Adam couldn’t find anything.
That meant the Bottomless Void wasn’t in this area, and if he wanted to find it, he’d have to head to the next Vibrating Stone and try again.
’Damn it!’ Adam clenched his teeth in frustration. ’I don’t know where to go, and it might be too dangerous because of the Befallen Crown!’
FLASH!
Suddenly, something unusual happened.
A bright pulse raced across the white waves, darting like lightning from one wave to another until it stopped at a tiny dark spot to the north, very close to Adam’s current location.
"Huh..." Adam smiled bitterly. "So you’ve decided to help me after all?"
