Zin was immersed in Queen Elisa's unique heartbeat melody, but his concentration was broken by Adam. Adam, seemingly unconscious in the real world, was preparing to destroy a blood bubble—an item containing Elisa's blood and the source of the sound Zin sought. Despite Zin's desperate attempts to stop him, Adam shattered the bubble, absorbing its energy and causing Zin to return to the real world, furious. As Zin prepared to attack the still-unconscious Adam, Adam inexplicably touched Zin's shoulder.

Zin could not permit Adam to annihilate the blood bubble, as doing so would also extinguish the melody he intended to savor for an extended period within this peculiar dimension. He had grievously underestimated the absolute authority Adam wielded within his own domain, a small world where Adam reigned supreme.

The instant Adam comprehended the necessity and acted, slicing through the blood bubble, Zin's serenade was abruptly concluded.

Whooooooooosh!

Adam’s blade flashed, a blinding light expelling Zin back into the tangible reality.

Zin would undoubtedly attempt to end Adam’s life and their conflict once he grasped the situation, which would only take a few moments. It was his sole remaining option.

However, within this space, Adam possessed an abundance of time, far exceeding that of the outside world.

After an arduous passage through the Hollow Lands, he could finally witness what the Blood of God had prepared. What newfound power would the blood of Queen Elisa bestow upon him?

"This is it, isn’t it?" Adam softly inquired, a trace of sorrow tinging his voice. His placid blue eyes mirrored the erratic flow of blood, which, now uncontained by the bubble, seemed lost.

Step.

Adam advanced without hesitation, his gaze fixed upon the immense power arrayed before him.

"Very well, let us commence. You have nowhere to escape. Your only fitting location is within my Nexus!"

Responding to his decree, the blood currents surged, coalescing into a singular stream directed toward the core of his Evolution Tree.

The blood bubble had, from its inception, held Adam’s Nexus captive.

It was true that Adam had secured significant victories even without his staff. Nevertheless, his Nexus had always been a cornerstone of his strength. The substantial reduction in his capabilities without his weapon was self-evident.

Now, the moment had arrived for Adam to reunite with his staff one final time.

Whooooooosh!

The blood streams collided with the Staff of Defeat, breaching its external gene casing. The Staff of Defeat offered no resistance, having long anticipated this juncture and prepared for its eventual ascension.

A vast emptiness formed at the Evolution Tree, drawing in darkness from the interior dimensions. While this might spell disaster in other circumstances, Adam knew he had no cause for alarm.

Once he obtained his new Nexus, equilibrium would be restored.

[The Blood of God has been completely absorbed.]

The Path Construct vibrated, its synthesized voice enumerating each phase sequentially.

[Your Stellar Nexus, the Staff of Defeat, shall be dismantled and repurposed to forge the subsequent iteration of your Stellar Nexus.]

Adam directed his attention to the Path Construct.

"May I exert influence over the selection?"

Typically, the Path Construct remained unresponsive to Adam’s inquiries, with the sole exceptions occurring when he sought directions to acquire specific items.

However, this instance saw the Path Construct deviate from its usual silence.

[You have already accomplished this… All shall unfold according to your deepest aspirations…]

Though not the response Adam had anticipated, he recognized that further information was unobtainable.

"I understand."

All that remained was for him to offer a wry smile and observe the unfolding transformation.

Crack. Crack. Crack.

Under the immense pressure of the blood flow, the Staff of Defeat fractured precisely in its center. The ethereal purple cracks widened progressively until the staff sundered into two equal fragments.

Adam’s heart constricted as he beheld his annihilated Nexus, observing the violet energy seeping from its fractured edges, resembling an arcane flame adrift in the void.

Yet, the severed halves of the staff did not remain inert.

In the subsequent instant, the blood streams surged toward them, enveloping them completely within a swirling crimson maelstrom.

Adam maintained a vigilant distance, hoping for an auspicious outcome.

Every Nexus he had possessed had proven invaluable, each boasting distinct capabilities and contributing to numerous victories. Nevertheless, he was prepared to concede that not all were created equal. Certain weapons inherently surpassed others, and Adam’s current aspiration was to acquire the finest he had ever wielded.

"I possess an excessive number of armaments," Adam mused, clenching his fists. 'My needle, the spears, the phantom blades, my former Nexus, and even the wing-like threads. Confound it! I am practically a walking armory!"

Still, Adam deemed heavy armor or a substantial shield to be unnecessary. Such additions would irrevocably disrupt his combat style and the rhythm he had cultivated.

He required something positioned between protective gear and an offensive implement.

TREMBLE! TREMBLE! TREMBLE!

The intensity of the blood flow escalated, causing the surrounding space to shudder.

Adam instantly became more alert, yet his gaze remained unwavering. He could not afford to miss this critical juncture.

With a blinding flash, two blood vortexes erupted, leaving behind two identical artifacts. Adam experienced a moment of bewilderment, but swiftly, a gratified smile graced his features.

Two gloves materialized in the darkness: fashioned from black fabric at their base, with sturdy, red composite material resembling dragon scales adorning their upper surfaces. They hovered expectantly.

[Your prior Nexus has been dismantled to manifest your new Nexus.]

[The Staff of Defeat has been annihilated.]

[The Divine Touch has been successfully created.]

Adam's lips curved into a smile. "Divine Touch? Heh, given whose blood it originated from, that name fits perfectly, don't you think?" The gloves quivered, then, like twin comets hurtling through space, they slammed into the heart of the Evolution Tree, sealing the void. RUMBLE! With a thunderous sound, the Divine Touch struck, closing the gap. Instead of the common red bark that normally merged seamlessly with white, the brilliant radiance pulsing from the gloves incinerated all the encroaching darkness that had infiltrated the Evolution Tree. It became an integral part of Adam's burgeoning power. "I understand now..." Adam gazed at his hands. "So it's time to return to the fundamentals? Alright. The Path Construct was correct. This is precisely what I aimed for." A fusion of weapon and armor? The gloves presented an ideal resolution. While Adam desired to examine the description of the Divine Touch and review the requirements for the Third Grand Star, a more pressing matter demanded his immediate attention. He shut his eyes as the crimson gloves enveloped his hands. In the subsequent instant, his eyes snapped open, finding him back on the battlefield, now equipped with his new Nexus.
