Endless Debt Chapter 1620: Darkness
Previously on Endless Debt...
As the bindings were undone, the sealed violent power was fully unleashed at this moment. The killing intent seemed to materialize, transforming into black and red steam, exuding, churning, and entwining on the surface of the Vengeful Saw Axe.
Bologue felt the increasingly scorching sensation in his palm, and at the same time, the straps unfurling from the axe handle wrapped layer upon layer around Bologue’s arm, drilling into his bones and flesh, binding the two tightly together.
As Bologue tightened his grip on the Vengeful Saw Axe, the axe, which was gradually coming to life, also bit into Bologue, unable to be separated.
“You all…”
Olivia looked in shock at those who broke through the door. A century of solitude, a destroyed family, the betrayal of the Regent King… Under various factors, Olivia had almost lost hope in anyone and never expected aid from others.
But at this moment, reinforcements miraculously arrived, a few people, yet it seemed like an army of thousands.
“I can’t hold it anymore!” Church shouted, “We have to separate first!”
With that, Church forcefully pushed Olivia away. She stumbled back a few steps. As she distanced herself from Church, Olivia noticed the peeling sensation around her rapidly fading, along with many chaotic and redundant memories, and… and…
Olivia appeared out of nowhere among the Heartless, standing in a daze, then looked around in confusion. A faint pain emerged from Olivia’s mind. After a moment of distraction, she sharply realized that there were some blanks in her recent memory.
Between being surrounded by the Heartless and Bologue and others breaking in, there was a brief blank period.
Olivia didn’t dwell on this for long; compared to her bizarre amnesia, the Heartless around her seemed more significant.
Just as Olivia seriously sought a solution, Serey’s rampant laughter echoed.
“Yo! Olivia!”
Olivia looked toward the voice, only to see Serey swaggering behind Bologue, winking and waving vigorously.
“I’m here to save you! My beloved daughter!”
This should have been a touching reunion, a dialogue meant to bring tears, like the father-daughter hugging scene common in dramas.
Admittedly, seeing Serey really came to save her, Olivia felt touched for a brief moment, but as the literal meaning goes, this sentiment lasted only for a moment, shattered by Serey’s weird cries.
Olivia disliked Serey, not just because of his personality and actions, but also his cavalier attitude towards life.
Since her mother passed away, nothing in this world seemed to make Serey take things seriously. He always seemed relaxed and carefree, appearing to have everything under control, but in reality, it was a deep-seated arrogance.
Olivia hated arrogance and the blood flowing within her.
The sudden sound of howling wind interrupted Olivia’s thoughts, followed by the rapid spread of a bloody aura in the air, as if Olivia were drowning in a sea of blood, the pungent scent filling her nose and mouth.
It wasn’t until the blood splattered on her cheek that Olivia noticed Bologue’s arrival. He wielded a sword in one hand and swung an axe with the other, his movements light yet swift, filled with the power of thunder.
In almost an instant, Bologue slashed deep and shocking wounds on the surrounding Heartless. Amidst the flying flesh and blood, he shouted without turning back.
“Sink into shadows!”
Olivia decisively followed Bologue’s instructions, her figure collapsing into a mass of seething shadows before diving into the shadow beneath Bologue.
In the next moment, the Power of the Extreme Realm erupted within Bologue’s Alchemy Matrix. He spun like a storm on the spot, his sword and axe intersecting and whirling like the deadly blade rings of a grinder. The Heartless let out wretched screams one after another; some lost their arms, others their ankles, and some were cleaved open in the head, chest.
The flesh turned into a paste, and the blood into mist. Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid extended dense iron branches, ruthlessly piercing through head after head of Heartless, planting iron seeds within their bodies.
“Ha!”
A explosive shout came from behind Bologue. It was Carol, the only Seeker of Glory among the Heartless. Supported by Immortal Armor and a vast amount of Ether, her roar gathered into violent sound waves, directly smashing towards Bologue, shattering all the iron branches erected by Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid along the way.
Bologue couldn’t withstand this blow. He tried to dodge, but those Heartless he had pushed away swarmed back. Bologue’s continuous slashes appeared to have inflicted dreadful wounds on them, but under the dual effect of the Immortal Armor and Blood of the Night Race, their bodies were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
“Release Ether!”
Olivia’s voice echoed beside Bologue’s ear. Just as Olivia trusted Bologue, Bologue now trusted Olivia, channeling the Ether within towards the sound wave impact.
The highly aggressive Ether formed a barrier in front of Bologue. Relying on the Ethereum Mutual Exclusion effect, they collided and canceled each other out, weakening the strength of the sound waves to some extent. Then, the shadow beneath Bologue began to writhe. They surged like waves, swallowing Bologue whole.
The sound wave swept over the ground, reducing matter to fragments, and dust soared into the air.
