Endless Debt Chapter 1340 - 105: Abyssal Well_2

The swirling smoke was leveled by the blast of a rushing wind. The Regent King landed steadily on the cliff, while Holt landed on the opposite side.
The two stared at each other from a distance, their hearts full of rage, yet they still maintained their composure.
The Regent King didn’t continue to attack but instead recalled and contemplated the recent encounter. Under the acceleration of the Power of the Extreme Realm, few could keep pace with the Regent King’s sword, let alone block it and counterattack.
But just as the Shadow Blade was about to cleave Holt, the Regent King noticed that his own speed had noticeably slowed. To outsiders, this slowing might not exist, but to High Tier Condensers like them, the difference of a second could change the course of the battle.
Suddenly, a slight stinging sensation came from his abdomen. The Regent King looked down and saw that his elegant shirt had been sliced open, with the skin beneath slightly grazed. If it weren’t for the lingering sting from the ether that drew his attention to the wound, the Regent King might not have noticed it before it healed.
At this moment, the Regent King’s gaze toward Holt changed. Holt had not only slowed his attack but had even accelerated to counterattack and injure him.
"Deceitful Structure School? Can you manipulate speed? Or... time?"
The Regent King tossed out guess after guess, knowing that although the Seeker of Glory was noble and supreme, it was not invincible.
Holt remained silent, calmly burning ether, while simultaneously releasing a similarly powerful wave from his body.
Power of the Extreme Realm.
"You’re impressive," the Regent King praised, "You’re younger than I thought."
Young—Regent King was not praising Holt’s age, but his Alchemy Matrix. Compared to the Regent King’s, Holt’s was younger and more advanced.
To other Defenders, the Regent King might present a terrifying oppression, but in front of Holt, everything became uncertain.
Holt’s figure began to distort, and then he vanished from his original place, while the cliff he had just been standing on shattered as if struck by an invisible force.
The Regent King couldn’t see Holt’s figure, but he could sense the rapidly approaching ether reaction. Without hesitation, he swung the Shadow Blade horizontally, his own ether expanded, spreading like invisible tentacles, matching Holt’s speed.
He caught him.
Secret Energy·Mirror Realm Duel.
Holt felt an inexplicable sense of detachment releasing from himself, as if he was forcibly shuttled through a curved path, followed by ripples emanating from all directions, where ever these ripples touched, exhibited a strange color inversion.
The gloomy cliff turned pale, like covered with frost, the hazy gray mist turned pitch black, like a curtain covering the sky, even the Regent King in front began to transform, bizarre color blocks chaotically landed on him, akin to childish graffiti.
Red, blue, yellow, various colors jumbled together, forming odd yet discordant patterns, imprinting a vague grotesque silhouette.
The anomaly vanished in an instant.
Holt was certain he had just been struck by the Regent King’s Secret Energy, yet apart from that strange visual change, nothing else occurred.
Void Spirit School?
Holt couldn’t help but speculate, but soon he discovered the unusual aspect.
Quiet, the surroundings became quieter than ever, absolute serenity descended upon the Abandoned Land, as if a pair of large hands clutched everyone’s throats.
"Hey! Don’t get distracted!"
The Regent King’s figure twisted, appearing directly in front of Holt, the Shadow Blade within arm’s reach, yet the Regent King didn’t slash down, instead, a foot kicked Holt’s chest, sending him flying several meters away.
"Here is my world, just you and me, no one will disturb our duel."
The Regent King landed stably on the rugged cliff, tidying his clothes, turning sideways, the Shadow Blade condensed into a slender thrusting sword, as if the Regent King was attending an exquisite fencing duel.
Holt glanced around, he was sure that this was still the Abandoned Land, though it was not real, rather a fake mirror world.
"So this is how you infiltrated?"
Holt realized, earlier the Regent King infiltrated here using the mirror world, without his own acuity, he might have really let him leave.
"More than that, I hope you focus on the upcoming duel."
The Regent King said, placing the thrusting sword against his chest, his face full of sanctity, as if truly considering this a duel concerning dignity and honor.
"I am somewhat obsessive-compulsive, and perhaps arrogant as they say, but I do enjoy fair duels and pledge my dignity for it."
"Fairness?"
This word from the Regent King’s mouth seemed absurd to Holt, as this was a blood-versus-blood melee, where no fairness existed.
"Sounds rather childish." Holt mocked.
"Then I might indeed be childish," the Regent King nonchalantly replied, "Or perhaps I possess more of a sense of honor than you."
"What kind of fairness do you want?" Holt asked again.
"I am a Seeker of Glory, which is unfair to you," The Regent King stubbornly said, in this regard, he also showed irrational obstinacy.
"No, it’s quite fair," Holt shook his head, raised the Secret Sword, and drew a Short Dagger from his waist, "You are stronger, while I’m ’younger’ than you."
The Regent King paused briefly, then silently laughed, unabashedly assuming an offensive stance, the sharp thrusting sword pointed at Holt.
