Endless Debt Chapter 1336 - 104: Land of Eternal Flame_2

This is the quickest way to end the battle.
The ripples of Ether swept silently over everyone, yet on the other side of the sea of fire, the onslaught of the enemies didn’t weaken much. The undead charged out of the fire sea one after another, lunging at the staff, while the frenzied Bloodthirsty hid amidst the tide of undead, searching for opportunities to launch a surprise attack.
Holt watched them vigilantly until at some point he suddenly felt a strange subtle sensation, as if something was slowly flowing through his body, like invisible clear water.
After a brief moment of confusion, Holt immediately heightened his alertness, releasing furious Ether that roared like a torrent, indiscriminately baptizing the surrounding space.
Evan quickly retreated to one side; he knew his leader had some issues in the head but never erred in critical matters.
Many believed Holt was lazy and decadent, even though he was the youngest Defender in the Order Bureau, yet only Evan knew that maintaining stability in the Abandoned Land for so many years is not something a mediocre and indulgent person could achieve.
During the Ether baptism, Holt keenly detected abnormalities in the surrounding space, something seemed to be right beside him, distorting the material to a certain extent.
"Who?"
Holt shouted, with the Alchemy Matrix spreading over his body, its radiance rising high.
In an instant, the curvature of space distortion increased, Holt seemed on the verge of tearing through the space, vigorously wielding the Blade, forcefully slashing open a crooked rift before him with highly concentrated Ether.
With an absolutely overwhelming amount of Ether, the border between worlds was violently pierced, and within that rift, Holt saw a pair of crimson eyes flash by, followed by a pitch-black Blade extending infinitely, speeding towards him like a beam of light.
Holt raised his Blade horizontally and successfully blocked the blow, but the enormous force conducted through the Blade still forced him back, slamming his entire body into the rock wall.
Amidst the swirling dust, the broken rift began to heal, once again isolating the Mirror World from the Material Realm.
Holt dashed out from the dust, vigilantly scanning the surroundings like a leopard for his enemy, but no matter how he released Ethereal Perception, he couldn’t find any trace of them until the distant, enduring breath of this world’s Calamity echoed again within the Abandoned Land.
"What happened?" Evan hadn’t realized what occurred.
"Someone breached our defenses," Holt turned his head, charging towards the depths of the Abandoned Land, "It’s the Seeker of Glory!"
...
"What a perceptive guy, didn’t think I’d be discovered here."
In the Mirror World, the Regent King sheathed the Shadow Blade, despite being discovered by Holt, he still wore a serene smile, with Yidir and Hammer accompanying behind him.
At this moment, Yidir appeared somewhat haggard, having just unleashed a Blood and Flesh Plague, which was cultivated within his own body, to the point where he’d almost drained most of his own flesh and blood to create this terrifying tide of undead. Beside him, Hammer appeared sacred, seemingly murmuring some kind of prayer, his demeanor utterly devout.
"Are you communing with the Beast of the Herd?"
After conversing with these fervent followers, the Regent King learned the name of this world’s Calamity within the Cult.
Hammer muttered for a while longer before gradually stopping, his eyes bloodshot and cold sweat streaming, appearing to endure some great agony, even walking seemed a feat exerting all his strength.
"Yes, it currently exists as a mindless entity acting purely on instinct, and my consciousness will briefly replace it to control it."
"Interesting," the Regent King’s lips curled slightly, "You say ’temporarily,’ what happens thereafter? Will you be devoured by that monster?"
"Almost, few awaken, chaotic madness is eternal, I will be torn apart by that endless thought and become one with it."
Hammer paused, "But before I completely lose consciousness, this time is enough for us to achieve our goal."
"I don’t understand, why bring me along for this..."
Yidir murmured beside, thinking that after releasing the Blood and Flesh Plague, his involvement in this operation was over, yet Hammer still brought him here, striding towards the heart of the storm.
Nobody paid attention to Yidir’s thoughts, he was swept along by the tide, powerless, unable to move.
The Regent King led the two to a high ground, from here one could directly overlook the ruins of the Holy City below, clearly seeing the enormous flesh resembling Amber.
"Will this work?" asked the Regent King.
"Yes." Hammer nodded.
"You still remember what to do next, right?" the Regent King asked again.
"Control the Beast of the Herd, suppress the blaze, find a way to let you step into the Golden Palace."
Facing Hammer’s response, the Regent King revealed a satisfied smile.
...
"When you think you’re the first, there’s always someone who has preceded you."
In the chaotic, twisted darkness, Bologue repeated this phrase in his mind.
He once thought he was the vanguard against the Devil, now realizing he’s merely stepping over predecessors’ corpses, continuing forward along the path they forged.
King Solomon laid the groundwork for progress, while Bologue must tread this path, advancing until fulfilling everyone’s deepest wishes.
"Hah... I think I’m starting to get used to Curved Path Shuttling."
Bologue knelt to the ground for a moment, before slowly standing up, calming the strange feeling in his heart, opened his eyes, and looked around.
