Bologue illuminates the frozen dead sea beneath them, revealing countless mummified corpses of soldiers from the Rhine Alliance. They realize these soldiers' sacrifice may have inadvertently saved them by disrupting the city's layout and creating a flaw in a terrifying melody. Bologue suspects a connection between the city's order and the Ethereal Realm, and wonders about King Solomon's knowledge. They then encounter a large, rusty door, identified as a potential Curved Path Gate, with unknown destinations and dangers beyond.

King Solomon seemed to foresee his own destruction, for this reason he turned Raymond Gaudent into a fortress.

No wonder even the combined forces of the Kagader Empire and the Rhine Alliance couldn’t level this place... but unfortunately, it was still destroyed, falling into the hands of the demons.

"Want to take a gamble?" Aimou asked.

"I’m not fond of uncertainty," Bologue released some Ether, "Perhaps I can carve a path from the physical level, it’s more reliable this way."

Relying on his extremely aggressive power of command, Bologue wasn’t doing this for the first time. Back in the Ruins District, he managed to evade the employees’ pursuit using this method.

"Wait a moment, Bologue, there’s an issue."

Aimou stopped Bologue’s actions, she became somewhat hesitant but still spoke frankly with him.

"Furya is an embodiment of Void Realm intelligence, she can become the will of the Ruins District, so what about the Cultivation Room?"

Bologue didn’t expect Aimou to bring up such a question at this time, momentarily he didn’t know how to answer her, since Aimou was unaware of the existence of the collective, which was the core secret of the Order Bureau.

"I guess there’s a will that governs the Cultivation Room within the Order Bureau too?"

Aimou, being a scholar, was very clever, "Judging by your reaction, you should have encountered that will too, right?"

"Why mention this suddenly?" Bologue asked.

"I just think scholars must remain humble, and since we can achieve as much as this, what about King Solomon?"

Aimou posed a highly critical question, "Doesn’t Raymond Gaudent have its own will too?"

Bologue was stunned, but before he could think further and respond, a piercing shriek reverberated, and the whole city began to tremble violently.

The sleeping giant awakened, letting out earth-shattering cries, the sound disrupted harmonies, brutally pounding on the chest like a heavy hammer, causing Bologue’s blood to churn, and then suddenly, one side of the corridor became bright, with light passing through the crystal curtain walls becoming even more dazzling, as if a blazing sun was slowly rising outside the crystal curtain wall.

Within mere seconds, Bologue distinctly felt the surrounding temperature rise sharply, the remaining moisture evaporated completely, and his throat became dry.

Now looking toward the end of the corridor on the other side, the blinding light refracted and focused through the crystals, like invisible flames scorching all touched materials, and as time passed, the light was gradually advancing along the corridor’s series of sharp archways, towards the other end of the corridor where Bologue was.

"Is that... light scorch?"

Aimou’s voice trembled slightly, from just listening she could discern what was happening outside.

"No, just the lingering glow of light scorching flesh."

Bologue turned around attempting to chisel through the walls, "But even the afterglow is lethal for us."

The Holy City of Raymond Gaudent was indeed a perfect fortress, even though the light scorch was waning, as it penetrated these crystal curtain walls, they produced a lens-like effect, once more concentrating the scattered light, mercilessly wiping out all life within the corridor.

So even years after King Solomon’s death, this city continued loyally executing his commands.

Bologue tried to open the connection between the doors and the crystal curtain walls, but the heavy stubborn rock possessed strong Ethereum mutual exclusion, while Bologue could indeed carve out slits one after another, there’s no way he could open a passage before the light scorch afterglow arrived.

As for attempting to break through the crystal curtain wall on the opposite side? These special crystals absorbed Ether, thus making them even more impossible to break through.

"No... can’t do it."

Bologue suddenly abandoned the effort, muttering to himself, "If I were Raymond Gaudent’s will, then in my cognition... the war never ended, just like Furya back then."

Dispersing the Ether, Bologue shivered, suspecting that if he continued with the earlier "invasion" behavior, he might incur a comprehensive strike from Raymond Gaudent.

"This is a fortress, yet a labyrinth; we must abide by the master’s rules."

Bologue turned back, glanced at the encroaching light, its brilliance was as dazzling as dawn.

Taking a deep breath, Bologue with all his might pushed the door open to a narrow gap, squeezed through without looking back, and seconds later, the corridor was completely engulfed by light.

In the absolutely scorching pure white, there was nothing but a silence as quiet as death.
