Endless Debt Chapter 1221 - 48: Absurd Night_3
Previously on Endless Debt...
Bologue analyzed, "Serey overthrew the Eternal Night Empire, but for some reason... pity? He spared his daughter, Olivia."
His scrutinizing gaze moved to the Regent King’s face, and Bologue questioned, "What about you? Serey couldn’t have spared you, and... and..."
"Your Secret Energy doesn’t seem like something an ancient pure-blood Night Race would possess, it’s too ’new’."
Bologue deduced the origins of the Regent King.
"You are a new generation Night Race, infused with blood by Olivia."
The Regent King neither confirmed nor denied, he just smiled, a smile that Bologue hated, so he taunted.
"Then what will you call Serey when you meet him? Grandfather Serey?"
Colors exploded and inverted at that moment, covering everything, and then the battle erupted again.
Their powers were like a violent storm, causing buildings to start trembling, windows shattered helplessly, shards of glass rained down like hail, and many structures turned into rubble, debris scattered all around.
Bologue’s power was quickly depleted, but he didn’t give up, he had to extract more intelligence before he completely collapsed.
As for what would happen after he fell, Bologue wasn’t worried, he still had a final trump card.
The Key of the Crooked Path.
As the battle progressed, Bologue suddenly understood why Olivia was lingering near the Undying Club. If his deductions were correct, Olivia was the mastermind behind the Night Race’s rise, and she had clearly lost control over this new Night Race, possibly even being pursued by the Regent King.
When she really had nowhere else to go, like many girls, she cried and sought out her father.
She went to the Undying Club to seek Serey’s help.
"What is this? A rebellious phase?"
Bologue crashed through another skyscraper. The building started tilting with tremors, the sound of steel breaking echoed throughout the city, and the structure began to fall vertically from mid-air, crashing heavily onto the ground with a massive cracking sound.
During the auction with the Gray Trade Association, Bologue saw Olivia for the first time. Back then, she had bought a flesh creation, and since then, she had been nurturing other new generation Night Races. As they parted, she had threatened to burn Serey.
Olivia hated Serey.
Bologue could understand Olivia. Regardless of Serey’s betrayal, anyone would be furious to have a reinforced battalion as a stepmother.
"Damn Serey!"
Bologue cursed uncontrollably. If he could, he would definitely castrate Serey.
People’s homes were utterly destroyed, vehicles were crushed flat, streetlights and traffic signals tumbled, creating a scene of utter chaos.
The epic battle triggered a chain reaction, the scope of impact kept expanding, power lines danced wildly in the air, sparks flickered, explosions and the crackling of fire melded together, turning the city into a sea of flames.
The streets were ravaged by intense vibration, huge fissures opened up, the once magnificent urban landscape and bustling life, which brought joy, had now turned into ruins and debris. The continuous explosions were deafening, dust billowed, and black smoke rolled across the city.
Bologue coughed painfully, holding his grudge tight, emerging from the thick smoke, the dust cleared as the Regent King leisurely followed behind him.
"Do you need Olivia’s blood?" Bologue turned his head and asked, "You’re already pure blooded, there shouldn’t be a need, right?"
"No, I just hope she can witness my success," the Regent King replied, "Moreover... the new Night Race should have an Empress."
Hearing this, Bologue felt the world was utterly absurd.
"Then have you sought your father-in-law’s consent?" Bologue added, "I mean Serey."
Bologue started to despise family dramas, especially ones like this.
