Endless Debt Chapter 1060 - 106: The Fall of the Mountains (Part 3)
Previously on Endless Debt...
A dull ache radiated from Palmer's skin as he rubbed his sore cheek, then lifted his wrist.
He observed the gemstone on the 'ten' side of a twelve-sided die had completely lost its luster.
Palmer muttered to himself, "Phew... did that turn out to be a great success?"
The duels between Condensers are lethally dangerous; life and death can be decided in an instant. Palmer had dispatched Ernan while Bologue was still unleashing destruction upon Morrison.
Morrison, in a state of wild abandon, continuously unleashed Light Feathers, disregarding the cost to his Ether. He was compelled to halt Bologue, who seemed intent on a suicidal assault, completely ignoring his own barrage of Light Feathers and focusing solely on annihilating the surroundings.
The Fog Abyss Fortress, once a paragon of magnificence and splendor, now endured a ceaseless onslaught of calamities, culminating in its utter ruin today.
The earth-shattering tremors propagated outwards in all directions, even reaching the sanctuary of the Shadow King.
First, the roar of thunder assaulted the ears, swiftly followed by a horrifying earthquake.
Initially, the building's arches began to tremble, their supporting structures succumbing to weakness and unable to bear the immense weight. Gradually, these arches started to cascade down like a colossal stone barrier plummeting to the earth, scattering massive rocks in every direction and smashing into adjacent structures with dull thuds. The stone columns nearby also commenced a violent vibration, their intricate patterns and carvings cracking and collapsing inward, ultimately leading to the pillars' downfall, releasing clouds of white dust and debris that churned chaotically.
The Shadow King gazed down at the cord extending from his abdomen, comprehending the arrival of his opponent.
As the seismic activity escalated, the structures progressively crumbled, with sections of floors caving in, sending stones and slabs plummeting downwards to form ever-larger mounds of rubble.
A swirling vortex of Ether surged within Bologue, causing the very structure of the building to liquefy like lava, relentlessly contorting and twisting, inducing intense vertigo.
The finely detailed surfaces of the robust stone carvings began to decay, appearing fragmented and disordered, radiating a palpable sense of dread until they disintegrated into heaps of ruins, cracked stone slabs, and a chaotic entanglement of wood and steel.
The scene was one of utter madness and destruction, until the entire edifice appeared to have expired, falling into an ominous silence.
Boloque gasped in pain; this deployment of Command had depleted the majority of his Ether. Yet, he detected the cessation of Ernan’s Etheric signature. Palmer had not let him down; he had dealt with that individual.
As for the remaining soldiers and Condensers, subjected to this devastating onslaught, most were entombed beneath the rubble. Even those who survived possessed little remaining combat capability.
Morrison, sensing the movement in his stiffening body, vocalized his fury nearby.
Reflecting on it, this strategy had proven remarkably effective, not only obliterating the structure and the terrain but also neutralizing a significant portion of the opposition. Even that monstrous, bizarre flesh creation was buried beneath the immense stones, leaving only a few scarlet limbs struggling feebly beneath the slabs.
This was a technique Bologue had learned from Xilin; wielding the Power of Dominance, Bologue functioned as an extraordinary explosive. If he could surmount the limitations of the Void Realm, he could annihilate entire castles and palaces at will.
At times, Bologue pondered whether, as his strength grew and the concentration of Ether intensified, he himself might transform into a walking Cataclysm of the Unnatural.
As the collapse reached its zenith, a furious torrent of light ripped through the architectural facade, and Morrison materialized before Bologue, his wings of light unfurled, resembling an angelic figure.
Boloque felt an intense urge to tear those wings from his back.
"Bastard!"
Morrison roared in fury, unleashing a dense barrage of Light Feathers.
Faint luminescence emanated, but as speed amplified, the intensity of the light surged dramatically. Eventually, these luminous streams converged, forming a blinding beam that appeared to cleave both heaven and earth.
Bologue tightened his grip on his Sword Axe, Ethereal Amplification reinforcing his legs, maintaining his readiness to move at that same accelerated velocity.
The beam seemed imbued with life, contorting and curving in flight, tracing a distinctive, undulating trajectory. Bologue shattered the ground beneath him, his form rocketing towards Morrison's position, while the Light Feathers, guided by the Chasing Sword, relentlessly pursued.
Innumerable beams streaked across the ground, the Ether they contained warping the fabric of reality. Intense friction and velocity generated searing heat, causing the ambient moisture to evaporate instantly, igniting tiny sparks of electricity in the air, engulfing Bologue in a spectacular surge.
Bologue executed a swift leap, skillfully weaving between the beams, much like a leopard darting through the savanna.
To Bologue, the intersecting beams appeared as dazzling constellations, their light expanding with haste and hurtling toward a nearby ruin. Employing elastic leaps, Bologue adjusted his fulcrum and landing spots with agility, his form dynamically adapting to the shifting beam paths as he carved arcs through the air.
Synchronized with the beams' trajectories, Bologue's footwork followed suit. Leaps, steps, and spins melded into a constant flux of speed and direction. He moved with the grace of an ice dancer, each movement executed with pinpoint accuracy, seamlessly transitioning even within confined areas.
Weaving through the beams, Bologue sustained his rapid pace and fluid turns. He transmuted the Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid into a barrage of Iron Spears, launching them with formidable thrusts across the performance space.
Morrison dodged the explosive impacts of the Iron Spears, surprised that Bologue could evade the beam onslaught so effortlessly, even with the Chasing Sword's guidance.
