Wang Ming is confronted by all eight patriarchs of the Great Families after his display of power. He immediately clashes with Min Kai, the patriarch of the Min Family and father of Min Li, but manages to de-escalate the situation after some witty banter.

"Next is Mu Kong, the head of the Mu Family and a premier array master, accompanied by Xu Yang, who holds the title of the kingdom's foremost blacksmith."

"Should you require assistance with constructing array formations, do not hesitate to ask me. I shall provide my services free of charge for the savior of the capital," Mu Kong declared.

"The same applies to me. Should you need any weapons forged, I will craft them without cost," Xu Yang added with an easy smile.

"Then we have the two leading alchemic families, the Tang and Zhang families. Their patriarchs were unable to attend due to personal matters," Wu Junhao stated calmly, his gaze fixed upon Wang Ming.

"We shall not impose further on your time; we will take our leave now," the patriarchs said, their smiles in place as they made preparations to return to their estates.

"Daughter, let us go," Min Kai said with a smile, glancing at Min Li, who responded with an expression of displeasure.

"I will join you later. It's nothing urgent, is it? I plan to go with Wang Ming," Min Li replied, crossing her arms beneath her generous chest as she met her father's eyes.

Min Kai's smile faltered as he looked at his daughter, then shot a glare at Wang Ming, as if he were owed a considerable debt.

"Very well. Before you depart, ensure you visit home; it has been some time since your last visit," Min Kai instructed, and Min Li gave a slight nod.

Outside, Wang Ming emerged with Wu Jing and Min Li by his side, placing his miniature Ship of Abyss onto the ground.

"Oh, isn't this the vessel you acquired from the auction?" Min Li inquired, her eyes fixed on the ship. Then, to her astonishment, the ship rapidly expanded to a length of 60 meters and ascended into the sky on its own.

Wang Ming instantly felt a profound connection form between his physique and the ship. It began to be enshrouded in a dense shroud of black fog, effectively concealing it. He perceived the ability to meld the ship directly with shadows and journey to any desired location.

"Indeed, this is my inaugural use of it. I intended to test it out and journey back upon it," Wang Ming remarked nonchalantly.

"So, what capabilities does this vessel possess?" Wu Jing asked, her curiosity piqued. Her own family possessed vessels comparable for their travels, yet these lacked the ability to shrink.

"Well..." Wang Ming glanced at Wu Jing and proceeded to detail all of the ship's functions, omitting the aspect of cosmic travel. By the conclusion of his explanation, Wu Jing regarded him and the ship hovering above with sheer disbelief.

"Heavens, if my father were aware of what he overlooked, he would be devastated. He would have acquired this even if it meant depleting our entire treasury," Wu Jing exclaimed with a sigh tinged with weariness.

"Let us depart," Wang Ming announced, gently taking both ladies by the waist before leaping onto the ship. The accompanying black mist intensified, rendering the vessel completely imperceptible to the naked eye.

Woosh

"Incredible! That was significantly swifter than even our fastest vessel," Wu Jing gasped in astonishment and a touch of envy as she disembarked, Min Li following closely behind.

"Well, once you are mine, you may ride it—and me—whenever your heart desires," Wang Ming jested, a playful grin on his face that caused her cheeks to flush crimson.

"I-I shall take my leave now," Wu Jing stammered before departing swiftly.

"Sigh, such a playboy," Min Li murmured, then hurried after Wu Jing.

"Let's procure the Crimson Blood Devourer," Wang Ming declared with palpable excitement. This was the very first soul weapon he had ever encountered and desired to possess for an extended period, yet circumstances always intervened when he finally accumulated sufficient points for its acquisition.

As it materialized, Wang Ming was suddenly engulfed in a trance, and tendrils of blood erupted from the eye, ensnaring him within a cocoon of sanguine mist.

Woosh

A soft gust of wind emanated from Wang Ming, swiftly expanding across the entire dominion. ----- Wu Jing, moments before within her chambers, sensed a peculiar shift and peered outside, utterly astonished. "Blast it, why has the firmament suddenly turned crimson?" Min Li, draped only in a towel after her bath, emerged and gazed upwards, her brow furrowed with palpable apprehension. It wasn't just her; a collective unease settled over everyone as they stared at the blood-red sky. "Hey, seriously, what in the blazes is going on in the capital? First the assault, and now this bizarre celestial display?" "Damn it, I should have fled when I had the opportunity—but no, that was my own foolish thinking." Drip... drip... Abruptly, expressions contorted in sheer panic as glistening droplets descended from the heavens, eyes widening in unadulterated dread. Gulp "Is... is it raining blood?" Min Li stammered, her throat tight.
