Dual Cultivator Reborn [System In The Cultivation World] Chapter 994: Small trick

Previously on Dual Cultivator Reborn [System In The Cultivation World]...
Aella intervened as Yohan gripped Aira's neck, preventing a full-scale battle between the Heavenly Soul Realm cultivators. Aella, surprised by Yohan's speed and power, realized her plan to subdue him was failing. She calmed the situation, fabricating a story about Aira merely testing Yohan's strength. Aira, humbled and apologetic under Aella's stern gaze, received a condescending pat from Yohan before they all headed back to the Lin clan.

Upon arriving at River Shore City, Yohan flew directly toward the Lin Clan manor and touched down. Moments later, Aira and Aella landed behind him, having followed his lead through the air.

Aira’s expression remained bitter following her earlier encounter with Yohan. Internally, she was seething, her pride wounded by the humiliation he had dealt her.

"Home sweet home! There is no place I cherish more than this," Yohan remarked, glancing back at the two women. Aella offered him a gentle smile in response, but Aira stayed silent. She was clearly irritated by Yohan’s relaxed demeanor; he looked perfectly composed, acting as though the conflict between them had never occurred.

Noticing her coldness, Yohan sighed and stepped toward Aira. As he closed the distance, Aella watched him with a troubled gaze, her eyes tracking his every move.

"What is it you want?" Aira asked, her voice trembling slightly. She was deeply confused by his intentions as he came to a halt only inches away from her.

‘What is our next move? I have a terrible feeling about this! Tell me what to do—does he suspect our true goals? I suspect he is just stalling for time. We should strike together right now rather than waiting for reinforcements. It will take days for backup to reach this location!’ Aira frantically sent a mental transmission to Aella. She was convinced Yohan hadn't bought their cover story and had only brought them here to avoid fighting them without the Sect's support.

Aira’s mind raced with dark thoughts, the lingering sensation of his grip on her neck still fresh and haunting.

‘Do not act... just remain still!’ Aella’s command echoed in Aira’s mind. Though shocked by the instruction, Aira forced herself to stay composed and hide her agitation.

"Why are you staring at me like that? I already told you it was just a test. I had no real intention of harming you; I simply took my little evaluation a bit too far..." Aira stammered, beads of sweat forming on her brow.

"There’s no need to keep explaining yourself. I'm aware of your intentions. Aunt Aella already clarified the situation, and I’ve moved past what happened between us," Yohan replied, seeing how worked up she was. His words only left Aira looking more bewildered.

"Then what are you trying to do..." she whispered.

"Just stay still and trust me. I’m simply fixing the damage I caused earlier," Yohan said. Suddenly, his palm came to rest against her neck. Aira’s eyes went wide at the touch of his gentle hand, and even Aella, standing a few meters away, was stunned by the sudden gesture.

"What are you—" Before she could finish, a warm, soothing sensation flooded her body. A faint green glow emanated from where Yohan’s palm met her skin. The bruising on her neck began to vanish as if by magic, and the lingering ache faded away. Aella watched in pure disbelief as Aira was healed instantly before her eyes.

After a moment, Yohan retracted his hand, revealing her porcelain skin. The injury was gone, leaving no trace that anything had happened.

"How did you manage that?" Aella rushed over to inspect Aira’s neck. It was flawless, showing no signs of trauma.

"Just a small technique I developed through my own insights," Yohan answered with a smirk, choosing not to reveal the secrets of his unique Cultivation abilities. He then added, "I’d prefer my family not to see you in such a state. You should be more cautious; you never know what kind of demons people hide within themselves."

"..."

The two women were left speechless. In that instant, Yohan’s cheerful mask had slipped, replaced by a serious expression and eyes as cold as ice.

"Anyway, I'll see you both later. It's getting late, and I need to go see Jasmine; she's expecting me," Yohan announced. With those words, he vanished, leaving them standing alone in front of the Lin Clan manor.

"I can't wrap my head around him. He is utterly unpredictable... and that healing ability? I've never seen anything like it in my life!" Aira cried out to Aella the moment Yohan was gone. Aella let out a heavy sigh, her face etched with concern.

"His ability to heal is indeed shocking. He claims it's just a trick from his own understanding, but between his monstrous growth and this... I suspect Evelyn knows the truth. There is so much at stake here; it’s no wonder she chose him over the Imperial Order," Aella whispered, her expression grim.

"What is our plan? He’s bound to figure everything out eventually. Once he realizes why we’ve truly come, he’ll make our lives miserable. We’ll be trapped in enemy territory if we don't act quickly!" Aira looked at Aella anxiously. Their attempt to intimidate Yohan with their strength had failed, and now that Evelyn knew their true motives, Aira knew the woman would likely retaliate soon.

"Let's move. I need to dispatch an urgent report to the Imperial Family immediately!" Aella declared, gesturing for Aira to follow. Aira nodded, seeing the urgency in Aella's eyes, and the two quickly departed.

Meanwhile, Yohan reappeared inside his private quarters, his face darkening with frustration.

'It's just one endless cycle of trouble. Conflict always finds its way to my doorstep. I thought I'd finally have a moment of peace after the mess at the Nichole Clan territory, but now this,' Yohan thought bitterly.

"The Imperial Family... what the hell do they want with me?" Yohan muttered before calling out, "System, replay the conversation between those two. I want to hear exactly what they said through their spiritual senses again."

Ding!
