Yohan encountered Elaine De Noir, an overseer who revealed his cultivation and existence threatened the world order. Elaine invaded Yohan's body with her Qi to judge him, discovering he was not a demon. Yohan lied, claiming his rapid growth was due to years of hidden cultivation and dual cultivation. Despite his explanation, Elaine declared she would stay with him and his clan to personally investigate.

"Stop joking; we barely know each other. Besides, I have no intention of getting entangled with you!" Yohan declared, gently pushing Elaine away, resisting the allure of her beauty. He felt exposed whenever she drew near, a sensation he detested.

"So cold... I wonder how you charm so many ladies?" Elaine's expression shifted, causing Yohan to knit his brows.

"How long have you been watching me? Don't tell me those individuals trailing me within the Nichole clan's territory were your doing?" Yohan's gaze scrutinized her suspiciously.

Elaine merely offered a smile and a subtle shake of her head. "As one of the Overseers, I possess my own methods of acquiring information. I am not one to resort to crude tactics; you'll grasp this as you come to understand me better," she explained, her face adorned with a gentle smile.

Yohan let out a deep sigh upon hearing her words. "Getting to know you is the very last thing I desire right now. You see, my plate is already overflowing; I'm contending with the Northern Royal Family and have somehow become entangled with the Imperial Family!" Yohan confessed, a look of despair clouding his features. Witnessing his dejection, Elaine erupted into laughter.

"You are quite the ambitious one, aren't you? It's only natural that such ambition attracts unwanted attention!" she remarked. Yohan fell silent, then, after a moment, broke his quietude with a pressing question.

"You and your organization will not obstruct my path, correct?" he inquired, his eyes fixed on hers. Elaine grew still at his words, understanding the reason behind his query.

"We Overseers refrain from interfering in worldly conflicts; warring amongst yourselves is inherent to human nature. Throughout the ages, I have witnessed countless wars, the ascendance and decline of kingdoms; therefore, rest assured, we shall not impede your progress," she clarified. Relief washed over Yohan inwardly upon hearing this. In the next instant, he ascended into the sky, preparing to depart and return to his clan.

"I am returning home. If you intend to accompany me, you must conduct yourself appropriately in front of my family," Yohan added, having decided to bring Elaine back to his clan. After all, he felt he had little alternative. Furthermore, she appeared to be a decent individual, free from malice, making her potential inclusion in his side for future battles a possibility. He also instructed her to maintain the pretense of being a victim of the imposter Yohan.

"I understand; I shall rely on your guidance for the time being," she whispered, agreeing to Yohan's terms.

Yohan gave a nod, and swiftly after, he began flying towards River Shore City. Elaine followed, flying beside him, a spark of excitement gleaming in her eyes.

As they journeyed toward River Shore City, Elaine frequently cast glances in his direction, stealing furtive looks.

"May I ask you something?" she inquired, drawing closer and flying parallel to him.

"What is it?" Yohan replied, a hint of annoyance in his tone.

"By any chance, are you interested in becoming one of the Overseers?" she proposed, her gaze intently fixed on Yohan's face.

"I am not interested," he responded immediately, his refusal catching her by surprise; it was an unexpected rejection.

"Do you not comprehend the magnitude of my offer? Perhaps you underestimate the influence wielded by the Overseers. Our collective comprises twelve positions, each led by a formidable figure, supported by legions of cultivators who heed their commands. With your aptitude, you could undoubtedly achieve greatness within our ranks—perhaps even reach the pinnacle," she stated, her expression turning serious.

"What is the ultimate purpose?" Yohan finally met her gaze, his query shifting her perception.

"What do you mean by that?" she countered.

"Thank you, but no thank you... What is the point of joining an organization that merely lurks in the shadows, observing the world's order, or whatever meaningless pretense it is? That is not my way of operating.

Moreover, I harbor aspirations... dreams that I am determined to realize. Binding myself to an organization is a luxury I cannot afford; it would only impede my progress," Yohan declared, his demeanor resolute. He harbored a deep aversion towards clandestine organizations; regardless of their might or prestige, Yohan found them distasteful.

’To hell with those self-proclaimed, deluded fools who fancy themselves controllers from the shadows. Once I ascend to the next major realm, I shall ensure every last one of them bows before me,’ Yohan vowed inwardly, cursing the organization that kept him under surveillance. He despised feeling powerless, a sentiment he loathed above all else.

"I understand... My apologies. I should not have posed that question without considering your feelings. You are still young and have a long life ahead; I had no right to try and recruit you into the Overseer circle," she confessed with a wistful smile. Disappointment was evident on her face as Yohan declined her proposition.

"However, the offer remains open. If, in the future, you choose to align with us, you will always be welcomed with open arms," she added, setting aside her initial disappointment from the rejection.

"Yeah, sure..." Yohan murmured, his gaze fixated on the path ahead. River Shore City loomed in the distance. He then turned his attention to Elaine, who was also gazing towards the city, its lights twinkling brilliantly under the night sky.

"So, this is your home..." she breathed, a look of deep yearning gracing her exquisite features.

Yohan observed the emotion on her face but chose not to inquire about its cause. It was an unusual sight to witness an individual of her profound capabilities display such vulnerability, especially considering her might, which was enough to lay waste to entire cities.

She stood apart from everyone he had encountered in this realm over the years. Despite her formidable cultivation, she was the most unpretentious and grounded woman he had ever met.

'Perhaps this is simply her nature. Elaine De Noir, who are you really, and why do you evoke memories of that other woman?' Yohan pondered inwardly, a specific individual coming to the forefront of his thoughts.
