After Yohan saw through her deception, Elaine revealed herself and confessed her feelings, claiming she wanted to be his partner. Yohan remained distant, wary of her hidden identity and the unsettling familiarity he felt from her. Elaine, undeterred and revealing herself as Elaine De Noir, one of the twelve Overseers of the world, declared she was there to judge him. Their Qi clashed, shaking the surroundings as Yohan demanded to know her intentions.

’Elaine De Noir, one of the twelve overseers of this world... what in the actual hell is that?’ Yohan was both surprised and utterly dumbfounded upon hearing the woman’s introduction. From the expression Elaine wore, he could tell she took immense pride in that title, as if it were something incredibly precious to her.

Every fiber of his being screamed at him to flee as far as possible from this woman, to avoid any entanglement in her affairs. But alas, Yohan found himself unsure of how to escape this predicament. Her cultivation base was clearly superior to his. While he possessed advantages in raw strength and his divine physique, he was reluctant to escalate things further by engaging in another battle with this unknown woman of mysterious origins. His hands were already full with the imperial family’s recent involvement with his clan; the last thing he needed was to make an enemy he wasn’t even aware of.

Yohan perceived that Elaine’s cultivation was similar to Evelyn’s, but he couldn’t ascertain if she was suppressing her power or not.

She was the third woman he had encountered in this world who exuded such a distinct aura, a potent reminder not to let his guard down, for the seas teemed with larger fish. The first, naturally, was Evelyn; the second, that enigmatic lady within the Dalmus dungeon; and the third was standing directly before him.

A woman who happened to be a member of some clandestine organization operating in the shadows. Yohan had no desire to invite further trouble by getting involved with her.

"Look, lady, I want no trouble and have no connection to your overseer business, so you had best leave me be," Yohan finally broke his silence, consciously suppressing the alarming Qi that had been leaking from his body. Elaine mirrored his action, her demeanor adjusting to match his.

"What do you mean you have nothing to do with me? You are the sole reason I had to journey all this way. You are unaware of the profound chaos you have recently stirred up; your very existence is destabilizing the world order," Elaine whispered, closing the distance between them.

Yohan’s expression shifted subtly upon hearing her words. He possessed a vague notion of what she was referring to. His prodigious cultivation growth was undoubtedly drawing attention; he stood merely one step away from reaching the zenith of this world. It was only natural that such rapid advancement would attract unwanted scrutiny.

First, that mysterious lady from the imperial family, and now this woman who belonged to an organization tasked with maintaining this world’s order.

"So, what happens next?" Yohan finally let out a long sigh, utterly fed up with the charade. He had initially sought a peaceful resolution, but if discussions failed, he was prepared to unleash everything he possessed to safeguard those he cherished.

"It’s quite straightforward: I shall pass judgment on whether you are destined to shape this world for the better, purging it of evil, or if you are a harbinger of chaos!" she declared, gently cupping his face between her palms.

Ding!

[An unknown force is attempting to invade the host’s body; do you wish for me to resist?]

A notification echoed in Yohan’s mind. He could also sense Elaine’s Qi permeating his body.

’Hold back for now,’ Yohan commanded, opting to observe her intentions. He detected no malevolent or destructive intent from her, and as long as the system didn’t identify any harmful energies, he felt secure.

Simultaneously, beneath the veil of the night sky, Elaine’s eyes began to gleam with a silver luminescence. At that precise moment, Yohan felt a comforting sensation coursing through him. Maintaining his composure, he welcomed Elaine’s Qi. Shortly thereafter, a soft smile graced Elaine’s features.

"Indeed, you are not some demon or malevolent entity who has invaded this realm; I am relieved that I do not have to extinguish your life with my own hands!" she murmured softly.

"..."

Yohan’s soul nearly detached from his body at the mere mention of demons and evil beings.

"If you are not a demon or malevolent being from another realm, then how, by the heavens, did you achieve the Heavenly Soul Realm?" Elaine inquired, her gaze fixed upon Yohan.

Yohan, still reeling from her previous statement, collected himself, took a deep breath, and met her gaze with renewed seriousness.

"By birth, my aptitude for cultivation was exceptionally gifted. Witnessing my rapid growth, my family, driven by fear, decided to conceal it to ensure my safety. This is why I feigned weakness all those years, hiding my true potential. To you, it may appear as overnight success, but I dedicated eighteen arduous years of relentless effort to reach the Heavenly Soul Realm," Yohan stated, looking directly at Elaine. He knew he was fabricating the details, but it was the only plausible explanation he could offer for his current circumstances.

Whispers had already begun to spread, suggesting he was some hidden genius, feigning weakness all along.

"You are a dual cultivator, aren't you?"

"..."

"You're telling me you've been cultivating Yin Qi since birth..." Elaine’s gaze shifted, observing Yohan with newfound curiosity.

Yohan recognized the thought forming in her eyes but simply offered a nod. Revealing his dual cultivation ability, both normal Qi absorption via the system and his primary focus on dual cultivation, was impossible. He couldn't explain that while dual cultivation was his main practice, the system granted him the ability to cultivate regular Qi from his surroundings.

Initially, he wasn't a dual cultivator. Before meeting Diya, his practice involved conventional methods: using spirit stones and absorbing ambient Qi. It was only later that he completely shifted his cultivation path to dual cultivation.

Remarkably, he could cultivate in both ways. However, for his partners, once they engaged in cultivation with him, their ability to cultivate through normal means vanished. They were compelled to abandon their conventional Qi cultivation path, becoming dual cultivators reliant on Yohan’s Yang Qi.

"With my clan's assistance, cultivating Yin Qi wasn't difficult," Yohan stated, meeting Elaine’s calm gaze. She seemed to grasp the implication of his words.

Within the realm of dual cultivation, Yin and Yang Qi could be procured from merchants. A market existed for cultivators dealing in such materials, but obtaining high-level Yin or Yang Qi demanded substantial resources.

"Now, if you're finished with your inquiries, I must depart. You see, I'm a rather busy individual!" Yohan declared, eager to leave and avoid further entanglement with her. But as he moved to go, she reached out, firmly grasping his hand, halting his escape.

"Though you may not be a demon, certain aspects still puzzle me. Therefore, for the time being, I shall remain within your clan, accompanying you."

"What..." Yohan’s expression contorted drastically upon hearing her declaration.

"You must be joking, surely?"

"I am entirely serious. It's my duty as an overseer to verify the truth of your statements," Elaine whispered. With that, she drew him closer, her eyes locking with his. Yohan felt himself taken aback by the soft pressure of her breasts against him, his face mere inches from hers, their lips nearly touching. He swallowed nervously, his gaze fixed on her eyes.

"I find myself drawn to you. Never before have I encountered someone like you; you possess a captivating intrigue... Young Master Yohan!"
