Dual Cultivator Reborn [System In The Cultivation World] Chapter 1002: are you demon or some kind of god?

In a barren wasteland, a strikingly handsome man's silhouette appeared, perched on a massive rock with a tiny white dragon casually nestled on his left shoulder, affectionately rubbing her cheek against him.
"So you can zip back and forth through the soul subspace without my assistance, huh? Aren't you something, girl?" Yohan remarked while gazing at Snowy. Upon hearing Yohan, the little dragon tilted her head in bewilderment, yet moments later, she resumed nuzzling against him just as before. Yohan merely grinned and stroked her head gently.
He felt somewhat astonished that she could navigate between realms on her own without his aid. After all, she had trailed him from the mortal world right into this forbidden domain accessible only to him—none of his other companions possessed such a privilege.
"What happened... why do I feel so exhausted... what is this place?" Abruptly, a feminine voice resonated in Yohan's mind, snapping his focus. He turned his head and peered at the earth directly below the enormous boulder where he sat beside Snowy. Two female forms lay sprawled on the ground, and one of them at last fluttered her eyes open, staring up at the azure sky.
"Ahh, finally you've awakened—took you ages to regain your wits..." Yohan murmured while lightly tickling Snowy's nose. The instant Aella recognized that familiar tone, she jolted fully alert and attempted to rise, but an unforeseen twist occurred: as she stood, she crumpled straight onto her knees, her face twisting in shock.
She strained to shift once more, yet her body refused to obey—in essence, she had zero command over it. Her expression darkened as she struggled again to move, but it proved utterly futile; nothing budged.
"No point in struggling—it's hopeless. You're in my realm now, where everything bends to my will, my dear aunt!" Yohan declared, eyeing Aella on her knees. Upon hearing Yohan and beholding his face at last, Aella's heart plummeted. She also spotted the little dragon on his shoulder, which startled her.
"What the hell have you done to my body? What kind of twisted prank is this? I'm going to kill you!" Aella shouted, glaring at Yohan.
Yohan let out a deep sigh. "You think you can take me down with whatever you've got? You already threw everything at me back in River Shore City, yet here I sit before you, utterly unscratched." Yohan retorted as he leaped from the boulder, landing smoothly on the ground right in front of her.
"I'm perfectly unharmed... but just look at you—your whole body is riddled with bruises and gashes. The hilarious part? I didn't even strike back; I merely dodged every assault you hurled. I wasn't even trying during that fight—after all, you're hardly worth the effort!" Yohan stated, retrieving a chair from his spatial ring and seating himself directly before Aella.
Aella's heart dropped as memories of the River Shore City clash flooded back. She grasped her dire predicament, frantically scanning around, and soon spotted another figure lying a few meters away. Seeing Aira slumbering innocently like a child, Aella exhaled in relief before turning to Yohan, who lounged casually in front of her, stroking the tiny dragon now curled in his lap, oblivious to the tension.
"What are you... some god or demon? You can't be human... and above all, where the heck is this place?" Aella fixed Yohan with a steely gaze and demanded, finally accepting she couldn't overpower him—he transcended her comprehension.
"Well... I'm your nephew, your sister's cherished son. Most importantly, I'm no demon, though that god business? I'm not certain yet. One day, who knows, I might ascend to it!" Yohan replied earnestly, locking eyes with Aella. He knew cultivation realms existed beyond Heavenly Soul that hinted at godhood, but they remained mysteries beyond his grasp.
Aella fell quiet after Yohan's words, at a loss for response or escape from her plight.
"So what now... are you going to kill me?" she probed, her eyes shifting with a new glint. Yohan heaved a lengthy sigh.
"Do you see me as some bloodthirsty monster slaughtering at will? If I wanted you dead, you'd be gone ages ago. But I can't—Mother would grieve losing her backstabbing sister, and Grandpa Leon might despair too. Without them, you'd be history long before now," Yohan explained, tenderly caressing Snowy's head as she dozed off. Aella drew a deep breath, noting Yohan's altered, strangely compelling demeanor.
"So you're freeing us..."
"You're not leaving anywhere. As I stated, no killing, but no release either. From now on, you and your deranged friend will reside here, atoning for your misdeeds. Someday, you might earn your way out..." Yohan proclaimed, staring at Aella. Her heart sank at his words.
"Count your blessings that you and your friend still draw breath after deceiving my mother. Your sole lifeline is that blood bond with her—so show gratitude; she's why you're alive!" Yohan declared. Aella swallowed hard, her face growing even grimmer.
"Don't tell me you're making us your prisoners?" Aella stared at Yohan in utter disbelief.
"Prisoners? Think of yourselves as slaves! This is your home henceforth—settle in, construct shelters, live peacefully. And don't pull any idiotic stunts; this spot is among the safest in the entire soul subspace. Venture beyond, and some mysterious beast might claim you. With your cultivation level, survival outside this zone is doubtful!" Yohan warned. Cold sweat beaded on Aella's brow; her lips quivered, heart pounding with dread.
"You're joking, right?" she murmured through trembling lips.
"Enjoy your stay, dear aunt. I'll catch you later." Yohan flashed a grin and vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving her stunned.
