Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos Chapter 533: Test Waters

As Lin Feng was lost in enjoying mingling with her body, full of suppleness and warmth, Cui Shuyin suddenly opened her eyes and immediately left his embrace.

She didn't even adjust her robes and disappeared from his perception.

Lin Feng was a little surprised, but he could already imagine the reason, and just as he thought, in a few breaths, Zhi Hui came above his courtyard.

"Junior brother, why are you sitting here?"

Lin Feng gave a small smile," I was enjoying the pleasant breeze, senior sister..."

Zhi Hui raised her eyebrows slightly but nodded," I see.." She landed in front of him before taking out a storage bag," Give this to junior sister, it's her reward for being the strongest in Initiation Realm...I could have given it to her myself, but tomorrow I am leaving for a sect mission..."

Lin Feng took the storage bag and gave a slight nod," Rest assured, senior sister Zhi, I will pass it to her whenever she comes out.."

" Very well.." Zhi Hui nodded," There is one more thing, the main sect competition is coming, and I was about to decide the members from Sword Pavilion who will take part in it, are you interested, junior brother?"

Lin Feng wanted to say that he was just a weak alchemist, but suddenly he remembered something, although he had collected some spirit stones in town by refining pills, it didn't seem to be enough for him.

He really was in need of a lot of them given the fact that he might have to travel to those distant provinces to find his close ones, so along with refining pills, he should really take part in these competitions which would give him spirit stones easily.

" How do battles happen in the sect competition, senior sister?"

He had heard from senior Cui last time that due to Sun Xiurong not participating, they had lost their usual position.

"It is very simple, junior brother, each pavilion sends a total of five cultivators, three Initiation Realm cultivators and two Manifestation Realm cultivators.

Although the battles are mainly one-on-one, they also follow the rule of the last one standing, so if you defeat your opponent, you can still stay in the arena to exhaust or win against the next opponent..

In the end, all you have to do is eliminate all the members of your opponent to win.."

Lin Feng nodded in understanding, but there was one crucial thing," Then why ask me, senior sister, wouldn't it be better if Peak Initiation and Manifestation Realm cultivators took part in it?"

He was certain that other pavilions would do the same, as that was the only way to maximize the strength of the whole group.

" That is true, junior brother, but I don't think we should be worried about Initiation Realm cultivators given the presence of junior sister, so even if you decide to take part, it won't matter.."

Lin Feng got a knowing expression, but that also meant he was asked just for presence, which was a good thing in his current situation.

"Well, then I won't mind taking part in this competition if you consider me, senior sister.."

He was sure that there would be some cultivators in the Sword Pavilion who would get jealous given his cultivation realm, but he didn't care about that, he already had Zhe Peng as an enemy, a little bit more wouldn't be a problem.

Zhi Hui smiled slightly," Well, I was already considering you, junior brother, so you can rest assured of your participation. There is still time, so you should focus on your cultivation for the time being, I will take my leave now.."

Lin Feng nodded," I will.."

Zhi Hui gave a slight nod and left.

Lin Feng sighed, wondering if Senior Cui would return or not... although he doubted she would.

He stood up and decided to refine the bracelet in seclusion..

...

Two days later, on the unassuming mountain, the man from Judgement Pavilion sighed in annoyance, he was certain that something had happened to his partner.

"That fool..."

He had felt that attacking Lin Feng was a little dangerous. They still didn't know what kind of protection Lin Feng had given the fact that Cui Shuyin seemed to be doting on him, so attacking him so early was foolishness.

" I should have never agreed to this..."

He had to report about it.

...

At the Origin Pavilion, Zhe Peng was walking inside his courtyard calmly when a man landed near him and cupped his fist in respect.

"Lingtian is missing, Haoyang thinks he is probably dead.."

Zhe Peng frowned.

" How is that possible?"

"Well, Haoyang said that Lingtian had decided to kill Lin Feng given the chance, so..."

Zhe Peng squinted his eyes slightly," As far as I know, Lingtian wasn't a fool, so how could he make a mistake in eliminating an Initiation Realm weakling? I had even given him the Bracelet of Concealment for this mission beforehand."

The man was slightly surprised, he had seen that bracelet once, it was quite a treasure he was interested in too.

"Well, we can always use Judgement Hall as an excuse to search near the Sword Pavilion, but... explaining the presence of Lingtian there without prior permission will be a headache, especially if it's Elder Cui who might have been the one who killed him.."

Zhe Peng closed his eyes in contemplation before shaking his head," Leave it, since Sword Pavilion has not made this matter public and decided to hide it, we won't find anything..."

The man nodded before speaking.

" It might be impossible to send another spy, they might already be on alert...or should we send someone to just test the waters?"

Zhe Peng thought for a moment before nodding," Send someone after a few days, if they return alive, then it would answer some of our questions too.."

" Alright.."

The man left after a bow, and Zhe Peng's expression returned to its normal state as he went into deep thought.

...

A week passed, and Lin Feng finally came out of his seclusion, he had refined the treasure in the first two days, but he decided to continue cultivating in peace for the rest of the week.

It was worth it given the slight progress he made in his comprehension of Chaos Dao.
