Dragon Monarch System Chapter 995:- The Man Wiped from History

Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
Aditya and Athena use her ability to peer into the Crown of Seven Seas' ancient history, witnessing the grandeur of the Crimson Empire under its conquering Emperor. They observe the empire's vast conquests across the main continent, the Crown's upgrade by a dwarf blacksmith to harness two powerful pearls, and scenes of battles against demons and savage tribes. A betrayal unfolds as the blacksmith's human apprentice stabs him and orchestrates an assassination on the wounded Emperor, plunging the empire into chaos; the Emperor escapes with the Crown, hides the pearls with loyal forces, and entrusts the artifact to the Majins. Overwhelmed by the visions' strain, Athena collapses, and Aditya aids her recovery with potions.

"I believe we should return now and rest for a day so you can regain your strength. Tomorrow, we can come back and wrap up our investigation."

Yet, a portion of his mind remained filled with doubt and concern. The leader of the organization, or the organization as a whole, was aware that he would eventually arrive here, which explained why they dispatched someone to clear out everything from this location. It seemed highly improbable that the organization would fail to set any traps or mechanisms capable of severely injuring him, ending his life, or harming any other intruder.

"I’m fine. Just give me five more minutes. I’ll be ready to apply my power to this wall mural by then." Aditya agreed with a nod and simply lowered himself to the ground. He guided her to settle on his lap, pressing her face gently against his chest.

Aditya seized this moment to restore his mana as well.

After five minutes passed, the pair rose to their feet. As they had done previously, he grasped her right hand while she placed her left palm against the mural.

The surroundings plunged into complete darkness.

"The four Pearls are now in my grasp!" In the very next instant, amid the blackness, four radiant glows emerged. The illumination from the pearls illuminated the features of a figure clad in a full black attire.

‘Could this be the leader of the Organization?’ Both Aditya and Athena pondered silently.

The four Pearls hovered effortlessly in the air over the man, who gazed intently at the stunning gems.

An intense, possessive expression crossed his face as he fixated on the pearls.

Next, a figure whose visage they recognized from earlier stepped calmly from the shadows and dropped to his knees before the man. This individual was the one who orchestrated the downfall of the Crimson Dragon King and his empire. Now, someone of such prominence bowed before the possessor of the four pearls.

‘This confirms it—this must be the master the Emperor mentioned before passing." Aditya and Athena felt convinced.

"I’ve finished the initial cycle using the Pearls. Now, preparations for the following cycle must begin." The man kept his eyes fixed on the pearls, ignoring his subordinate.

"So, it’s time for me to form the Cocoon once more and fall into deep sleep."

At last, the man turned his attention to his sole follower. "I’ve already explained the Mission to you. Ensure you supervise all aspects closely."

"Yes, Master!"

"One last instruction before I depart: do not exceed your limits or stir up chaos before the maturation phase."

"Understood!"

"Using the pearls, I’ve divided the Main Continent into six separate continents, scattering them across the world. Once I enter the Cocoon, your task is to distribute the pearls to four spots around the globe and keep watch over the planet’s conditions to avoid any unforeseen issues."

"I shall follow your orders precisely." At that point, Athena’s mana depleted, and she slumped against Aditya. He retained roughly 30% of his own mana. She halted because her mind could no longer bear the tremendous pressure. Had she not been the Goddess of Wisdom, her soul could have fragmented under the excessive burden. Moreover, she had been protecting Aditya’s mind, aware that his mental resilience fell short of hers.

The entire vision, enduring over 5 seconds, left Aditya and Athena profoundly stunned, rendering them speechless. They were so overwhelmed that comprehending the full scope of this revelation proved challenging.

Aditya and Athena shared a glance brimming with astonishment and complete incredulity. It felt as though the core principles of their worldview had been utterly disrupted.

"I’m truly doubting my very being right now."

Abruptly, the corridor walls detonated. The blast was fierce yet insufficient to cause major harm to Athena and Aditya. Before the explosion could fully envelop them, Aditya encircled Athena with his arms and shielded her using his Dragon Kings. This enveloped both in a protective barrier amid the chaos.

However, the destruction didn’t end there.

Subsequently, a barrage of successive blasts erupted throughout the Palace. Consequently, the entire structure crumbled into wreckage in just one minute. With the Palace’s downfall, a vast plume of dust, rubble, and soot swallowed the area. Simultaneously, it drew the notice of the goblins inhabiting and dominating this Pocket Dimension.

Seizing a brief opening with Crimson Warp Flash, Aditya and Athena transported themselves to the open sky. From this vantage, they gained a clearer perspective on the devastation.

Yet, the blasts persisted. Right after their teleportation, another chain of relentless explosions followed in quick succession.

Approximately 5 minutes afterward, the turmoil subsided at last. The second round of detonations continued for nearly three full minutes. When peace returned, no wall of the Palace stood upright or unscathed. Not a single sizable fragment of the walls appeared anywhere within the enormous haze of ash, flames, smoke, dust, and wreckage.

"The explosive force wasn’t potent enough to threaten a 5th-order cultivator. Clearly, the Organization intended this not to eliminate us outright, but to obliterate the entire Palace."

Aditya gave a solemn nod. "I was starting to grow wary as well. Considering the Organization’s methods, it wouldn’t surprise me if no traps awaited us at all."

"Yet this isn’t merely a trap. It’s an effort to erase historical traces. Now, we can’t uncover any details about the Organization’s Leader."

"I suspect that man realized I possess the power to glimpse fragments of history. Allowing even one Palace wall to survive would pose too great a risk. If I were him, I’d have razed it all too."

Aditya was on the verge of inquiring about the astonishing revelations from the past twenty minutes. Far too much needed unraveling and analysis. Their discoveries were utterly revolutionary.

But suddenly, he detected a presence that didn’t belong to a goblin and lingered nearby. This immediately heightened his alertness to its peak.

"Who are you?" The enigmatic figure didn’t attempt to conceal himself. That’s why Aditya sensed him the instant the man chose to reveal his position.

Tracing his gaze, Athena turned southward as well, spotting a cloaked man in black. The hood obscured his facial features. All they could discern was his clean-shaven chin, indicating no beard.

"Despite my thorough preparations, I sensed this wouldn’t suffice to claim your lives. In truth, neither the Dragon Monarch nor the Goddess of Wisdom could fall to such tactics."

"It was naive of me to consider it. My apologies for that." Evidently, the man was ridiculing them.

"Who are you?" Aditya repeated.

"Surely you two already know!"

Yet he swiftly shifted subjects.

"I must admit, you resemble an indestructible cockroach, surviving even under pressure." On numerous occasions, Aditya had neared death thanks to the Organization’s agents. Yet every time, he emerged victorious, posing an ever-greater threat to them.

"Still, I’ve accomplished my goal, marking my success." The Palace lay in total ruin. No substantial intact wall segment survived amid the ruins and debris. Athena could no longer employ Memory Imprint to access the past.

"Who are you? If you’re so familiar with me, at least grant us the courtesy of viewing your face." His tone remained unchanged from half a million or even a million years ago. Though they suspected he was the Leader, Aditya and Athena yearned to behold his countenance and learn his identity.

"Hiding my features from you holds no purpose now, especially since I’m certain you glimpsed my likeness through that power."

"You appear to understand my abilities far too well, despite my limited use of them."

"During the assault on your empire and the slaying of your parents, we had informants who supplied ample details to counter you as well." At these words, Athena clenched her teeth in fury. This villain had caused the deaths of all she cherished, sparing not even her homeland.

The man let out a chuckle upon noticing the raw fury and loathing in Athena’s stare directed at him.

"Over the ages, history has bestowed upon me myriad titles. I’ve been dubbed the Jackal, Black Chaos, Reaper, Jason, or even Ghost."

"But my true name is Leo!" The individual called Leo pulled back his hood. It matched precisely the face from their visions of the past.

"It’s a pleasure at last to encounter the one who’s inflicted the greatest harm on my organization since the era of the Crimson Dragon King."

"It only stands to reason! After all, you carry the bloodline of the Crimson Dragon King."
