Aditya's parents scold him for his reckless plan to defeat Andris, while the girls secretly find his predicament amusing. Meanwhile, Emperor Ren is furious as Leo, the leader of a mysterious organization, refuses to send more support, reminding Ren that he must win the war on his own.

Ren angrily placed his cup on the table before continuing. "If it wasn’t for me, his organisation would never have been able to operate so freely inside the Celestial Dragon Empire! I was the one who betrayed my uncle and aunt! They treated me like their own child, yet I still betrayed them because I believed working with that organisation would benefit me!"

The more he thought about these things, the darker his expression became. "Because of my betrayal, Leo and his people were able to enter the Celestial Dragon Empire and carry out their missions without needing to fear anything!"

"Does that bastard have any idea how much I have done for his organisation?"

After all, as the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, Ren possessed enormous authority. With his support, the organisation had been able to move around the Empire much more freely than it otherwise could have.

Whenever its members needed permission to enter certain places or carry out particular activities, Ren had used his authority to help them. He had also made sure that the Empire’s officials did not interfere with the organization’s activities.

As long as the organisation did not directly threaten his position as Emperor, Ren had been willing to overlook many of its actions. And in return, he had expected the organisation to continue supporting him.

However, Leo’s refusal had made him realize just how foolish that expectation had been. "And let’s not forget who gave them the information about the pearls! I was the one who provided Leo with crucial information about their locations!" Ren continued angrily.

Without the information Ren had provided, the organisation would have had a much harder time finding those pearls. After all, some of the information he had shared was not something that ordinary people could easily obtain. Ren had used his position and connections within the Celestial Dragon Empire to gather that information before passing it to Leo.

He had done all of this because he believed that helping the organisation would strengthen their relationship and guarantee its support whenever he needed it. Yet now, when he was finally asking for something in return, Leo had simply turned his back on him.

"That bastard has the nerve to tell me to win this war on my own! Does he think I would have contacted him if I could win this war without his help?" Ren shouted angrily.

"I have already lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers! Four Seventh Order cultivators from my side were killed today!"

"And now that I’m asking him to send a few more powerful cultivators, he simply refuses! And then he has the audacity to tell me that if I cannot win this war, I have no place within his organisation!"

Ren let out an angry laugh before continuing. "Hahaha! Unbelievable! After everything I’ve done for them, this is how they repay me?"

His lover quietly looked at him but did not dare to interrupt. She understood that Ren was extremely angry, and saying the wrong thing at this moment might only make his mood worse.

"Who does Leo think he is?"

"Does he seriously believe that he could have accomplished everything he wanted inside the Celestial Dragon Empire without my help?"

"I gave his organization access to one of the most powerful Empires on the Main Continent! I allowed his people to carry out their missions without interference! I even provided them with information that they would have struggled to obtain on their own!"

"And now that it’s finally time for him to help me, that bastard is simply refusing! Fuck you, Leo! Fuck your entire organisation!"

Ren angrily slammed his fist against the table. However, despite how furious he was, Ren was not an idiot. In fact, after thinking about Leo’s attitude during their conversation, he had already begun to understand the real reason behind his refusal.

The organisation no longer had any use for him. That was the simple truth.

When Ren had first started working with the organisation, he had been extremely valuable to them. He possessed important information, had strong connections within the Imperial Family, and eventually became the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire. Because of his position, the organisation had been able to accomplish many things that would have otherwise been extremely difficult.

However, the situation had now changed. Ren was no longer an Emperor who had complete control over his Empire. Instead, he was fighting a civil war against his own cousin, and his army had just suffered a terrible defeat. His position on the throne was in serious danger, and there was a very real possibility that he would lose everything tomorrow.

From Leo’s attitude, Ren could clearly tell that the organisation no longer considered him valuable enough to protect. There was nothing that the organisation needed from him or from the Celestial Dragon Empire.

To them, he had become nothing more than dead weight. Someone who had already provided most of the benefits he could offer and was now asking for additional resources to save himself.

And apparently, Leo had decided that helping Ren was no longer worth the trouble. Ren slowly picked up his wine cup again. His expression remained extremely dark as he thought, ’So that’s how it is...’

He finally understood something. Leo did not care whether he remained the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire. At least, not enough to send additional Seventh Order cultivators to protect his position. Even if Ren lost the war and the organisation lost its access to the Celestial Dragon Empire, Leo apparently considered that an acceptable outcome.

This realisation made Ren even angrier. After all, he had spent years helping the organisation, believing that their relationship would benefit both sides. He had betrayed his own family, shared important information, and allowed the organization’s members to operate freely inside his Empire.

Yet now, when he was in desperate need of help, he had discovered that the organisation was perfectly willing to abandon him.

’That bastard used me for everything he could get, and now that I’m no longer useful, he’s simply throwing me away.’ Ren thought while tightening his grip around the wine cup.

What made the situation even more humiliating was that he could not do anything about it. He could curse Leo as much as he wanted, but that would not change the fact that the organisation had refused to help him. And with the final battle approaching, Ren did not have the time or resources to take revenge against Leo.

For now, his greatest concern was surviving the war and protecting his position as Emperor. However, the thought of being abandoned after everything he had done was something Ren found extremely difficult to accept.

He had always believed that his relationship with the organisation was one where both sides benefited. But now he was beginning to realise that Leo had never considered him an equal partner. As long as Ren remained useful, the organisation was willing to support him. But the moment he became a burden, that support disappeared.

And the worst part was that Leo had not even bothered to hide it. By telling Ren that he had no place within the organisation if he failed to win the war, Leo had practically made it clear that his continued membership depended entirely on his usefulness.

Ren slowly raised his cup and drank the remaining wine. His eyes were filled with anger and frustration as he thought, ’So after everything I’ve done, this is what I get in return...’

He felt humiliated. Not only had Aditya defeated his army and killed several of his strongest cultivators, but now even the organisation that had supported him for so long was treating him like someone who was no longer worth helping.

For someone as proud as Ren, this was extremely difficult to accept. He had betrayed the people who had raised him, taken the throne for himself, and done everything possible to strengthen his position as Emperor. Yet now, everything he had worked so hard to obtain was in danger of disappearing.

And the people he had expected to stand beside him were abandoning him when he needed them the most.

Ren angrily placed the empty cup on the table and stared at it for several seconds. His lover quietly reached forward and refilled it, but Ren did not immediately pick it up. Instead, he remained silent, thinking about the conversation he had with Leo. The more he thought about it, the more furious he became.

But beneath that anger was something he did not want to admit. For the first time since becoming Emperor, Ren was beginning to feel truly desperate.

He knew that tomorrow’s battle would decide whether he could continue sitting on the throne of the Celestial Dragon Empire. And now that Leo had refused to provide any additional support, Ren knew that he would have to face Aditya with whatever strength he still had left.

There was no guarantee that the organisation would come to his rescue if things went badly. In fact, judging by Leo’s attitude, Ren was almost certain that no help would arrive.

This was the reality he was now forced to accept. And that realisation only made his anger, frustration, and humiliation grow even stronger.
