Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1290:- Emperor Ren’s Frustration
Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
Hearing everything, Alen and Elena remained silent. Although the plan sounded extremely clever, they immediately understood just how dangerous it had been. If Aditya had been even a little slower, Andris’s final attack would have struck him.
And considering how badly injured Aditya had already been, there was a very high possibility that he would have died.
Alen slowly turned toward his son. "Aditya, are you telling me that you deliberately allowed yourself to remain in such a dangerous situation just so you could find an opportunity to kill Andris?"
Aditya hesitated. "Well, when you put it that way..."
"ADITYA!" Elena suddenly shouted.
Aditya immediately stopped speaking. Elena stared at him with an expression that was filled with both anger and worry. "Have you completely lost your mind?"
"Mother, I won the battle." Aditya replied to her in a very weak tone.
"That’s not the point!"
Hearing those familiar words, Aditya suddenly remembered that Athena had said almost the exact same thing earlier. For some reason, he felt that the situation was becoming even worse than before.
Elena continued, "What would have happened if your plan had failed? What if Andris hadn’t been distracted? What if you couldn’t use your teleportation ability in time?"
Aditya remained silent. He couldn’t really argue with them. Not to mention, he kind of liked their scolding. Of course, parents will scold their children. Because parents care about their child the most. And after years of being away from them, he had missed this. This was another form of care from his parents.
Alen then added, "Your mother is right. You’re already powerful enough to fight against Seventh Order cultivators, but that doesn’t mean you should deliberately place yourself in situations where a single mistake could cost you your life."
"There’s a difference between being brave and being reckless."
Aditya could only nod. "I understand, Father."
However, the girls were still not finished.
"Actually, this isn’t the first time he’s done something like this." Sasha suddenly said.
Aditya secretly signalled Sasha to stay silent, which was unfortunately seen by his mother, who gave him an angry glare that immediately shut him up. "Mother, Aditya has a habit of taking dangerous risks whenever he thinks there’s something important he needs to accomplish."
Riya nodded in agreement. "That’s true."
"Even when we tell him to be careful, he sometimes ends up doing something that makes all of us worry."
Elena slowly turned toward Aditya. "Is that so?"
Aditya could only smile wryly.
"Of course, he usually has a good reason for doing those things. And most of the time, his plans work. But that doesn’t change the fact that he sometimes takes risks that are far too dangerous."
Freya immediately nodded. "Exactly! That’s what I have been saying. Sometimes I feel like he doesn’t understand just how worried we become whenever he puts himself in danger."
"And the worst part is that whenever we complain, he simply smiles and tells us that everything worked out in the end."
Hearing this, Elena slowly narrowed her eyes.
"Aditya..."
Aditya immediately looked away. Unfortunately, there was nowhere for him to escape. He was sitting directly between his father and mother. And both of them were now looking at him with serious expressions.
Seeing this, Rin could not help but smile. Although she was also worried about Aditya’s safety, she found the current situation rather amusing. After all, Aditya was someone who could stand against powerful Seventh Order cultivators without showing any fear. He could face enormous armies and fight against some of the strongest individuals in the world. Yet right now, he was sitting quietly between his parents while being scolded like a child.
Rin had never expected to see such a scene. Amelia was also trying her best not to laugh. However, seeing Aditya’s helpless expression made it increasingly difficult for her to maintain a serious face.
Meanwhile, Elena had already started questioning her son again.
"Aditya, tell me something. Why didn’t you ask your grandfather or one of your subordinates to help you fight Andris?"
Aditya hesitated for a moment before replying in a small tone. "Because I wanted to test my strength against a Seventh Order cultivator."
Hearing this, Alen immediately frowned. "You wanted to test your strength? And for that reason, you were willing to risk your life?"
Aditya opened his mouth. But he genuinely did not know what to say. So all he could do was just remain silent as his parents continued to scold him for the next 20 minutes. Watching him look miserable, all the girls were secretly laughing at him.
’Just you all wait!’ Seeing them enjoying the situation way too much, Aditya silently promised himself that he would make them pay. This entertainment that they were getting from him getting scolded by his parents isn’t going to be free. Aditya will come for the payment one way or another.

Scene Change______
While the Anti-Emperor Faction was in a celebratory mood after their overwhelming victory on the first day of the war, the same could not be said for the Emperor Faction. The atmosphere inside the Emperor Faction’s camp was dark, gloomy, and depressing.
There was hardly any excitement or happiness among the soldiers. Instead, most of them were sitting quietly inside their tents, trying to recover from the terrible battle they had experienced earlier that day.
By now, even the ordinary soldiers had realised that their chances of winning this war had decreased significantly. After all, the Emperor Faction had suffered enormous losses during the first battle. Close to three hundred thousand soldiers had been killed, while tens of thousands more had suffered injuries. Furthermore, they had also lost four Seventh Order cultivators, including Andris, one of the Thirteen National Treasures of the Celestial Dragon Empire.
Such terrible losses had completely destroyed the confidence that many soldiers had felt before the war began. Before the first battle, most of them had believed that the Emperor Faction would eventually emerge victorious. However, after witnessing how Aditya had single-handedly destroyed a large part of their army, many were beginning to question whether they would even survive tomorrow’s battle.
And among everyone inside the Emperor Faction’s camp, there was one man who was feeling more frustrated than anyone else. That person was none other than Emperor Ren himself.
At this moment, Ren was sitting inside his personal tent, angrily drinking wine while his lover sat beside him and occasionally refilled his cup. His expression was extremely dark, and the anger in his eyes was impossible to hide. Although his lover could clearly see that he was in a terrible mood, she wisely chose to remain silent.
"The audacity of that bastard Leo to refuse to send me any more help!" Ren cursed angrily.
The reason Ren was so furious was because of something that had happened shortly after the first battle ended. After returning to his camp and learning about the full extent of his army’s losses, the first thing Ren had done was contact Leo, the leader of the mysterious organisation that had been supporting him.
Ren had explained the current situation and requested additional support. More specifically, he wanted Leo to send several Seventh Order cultivators to help him fight against Aditya and the Anti-Emperor Faction.
After all, Ren understood that the situation had become extremely dangerous for him. His army had suffered terrible losses, and four Seventh Order cultivators from his side had already been killed. Meanwhile, Aditya’s faction still possessed an enormous army and several powerful Seventh Order cultivators.
If Ren wanted to turn the situation around, he desperately needed additional support. And considering everything he had done for the organisation over the years, Ren believed that Leo would certainly agree to help him. However, to his complete surprise, Leo had flatly refused his request.
Not only had Leo refused to send any additional Seventh Order cultivators, but he had also made it clear that Ren would have to win this war through his own efforts. Leo had even told him that if he could not defeat Aditya and protect his position as Emperor, then he had no place within the organisation.
In other words, Leo had made it clear that the organisation had no intention of wasting any more resources on him.
Naturally, hearing those words had made Ren extremely furious. After all, he had done so much for the organisation, yet now that he was facing the greatest crisis of his life, Leo was simply refusing to help him.
"Who the hell does he think he is? Does that bastard seriously think he can treat me like this after everything I have done for him and his organisation?" Ren cursed while tightly gripping the wine cup in his hand.
Ren angrily placed his cup on the table before continuing. "If it wasn’t for me, his organisation would never have been able to operate so freely inside the Celestial Dragon Empire!"
"I was the one who betrayed my uncle and aunt! They treated me like their own child, yet I still betrayed them because I believed working with that organisation would benefit me!"
The more he thought about these things, the darker his expression became. "Because of my betrayal, Leo and his people were able to enter the Celestial Dragon Empire and carry out their missions without needing to fear anything!"
