Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1202:- Trust me
Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
"This is a war for our own future."
"My cousin, Ren, is working with a Mysterious Organization whose ultimate goal is something so sinister that, if they succeed, all of us could lose everything."
Aditya paused for a moment, allowing those words to settle before continuing.
"And when I say this, I am not exaggerating. Some of you may think that I am deliberately trying to frighten you or saying these things simply to motivate you before the battle. But I have no reason to stand here and lie to millions of you."
"There is evidence. The nobles and factions standing with me today did not simply wake up one morning and decide to rebel against the Emperor. They investigated. They questioned. They saw the evidence for themselves. And after learning the truth, they chose to stand here with us."
Aditya’s gaze slowly moved across the enormous formations. "If we do not stand united today and fight against my cousin and the Mysterious Organisation supporting him, then we risk losing the future that should belong to us and to the generations that come after us."
"Our homeland, the Celestial Dragon Empire, will no longer exist for the benefit of its people. It will become something that the Mysterious Organisation can use for its own goals and something that my cousin can treat as his personal plaything. And eventually, our Empire will become a source of endless conflict and disaster."
"I want to keep this short and simple."
"This is not just my war."
"This is a war that concerns every single one of you."
"It has already been months since my cousin became Emperor. During that time, all of you have had the opportunity to see how he rules. You do not need me to stand here and tell you what to think about his policies. You have seen their consequences yourselves."
"And I am not going to stand here and give you empty promises about everything I will supposedly do after becoming Emperor. That has never been my style."
Aditya’s voice remained firm and steady. "What I can tell you is this. My cousin has associated himself with people whose actions threaten far more than the Imperial Throne. If the Mysterious Organisation is allowed to continue moving forward with its plans, the calamity they bring will not stop with the Celestial Dragon Empire."
"It will spread across the Main Continent. And eventually, it will reach the Six Continents as well. So what we are about to do today is only the first step. The first step toward stopping them."
As Aditya finished his passionate speech, silence lasted for only a brief second.
Then the entire battlefield erupted.
Millions of soldiers roared at the same time. Countless cheers thundered across the land with such intensity that the very air seemed to tremble. Soldiers raised their weapons into the sky while the banners of hundreds of noble houses continued fluttering above their formations.
Then, from somewhere within the enormous army, a group of soldiers began chanting.
"HAIL TO HIS HIGHNESS!"
The chant immediately spread to the surrounding formations.
"HAIL TO HIS HIGHNESS!!"
More and more soldiers joined with every passing second until millions of voices gradually merged into one deafening roar.
"HAIL TO HIS HIGHNESS!!!"
"FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR HOMELAND!!!"
"FOR THE FUTURE OF THE CELESTIAL DRAGON EMPIRE!!!"
"HAIL TO HIS HIGHNESS!!!"
The voices of millions echoed across the devastated landscape.
"FOR THE CELESTIAL DRAGON EMPIRE!!!"
Standing above the city walls, Aditya silently looked at the countless soldiers chanting his name and the name of their homeland. He had not promised them anything. He had simply told them why he believed this war needed to be fought.
And that had been enough. The millions of soldiers who had arrived under hundreds of different noble banners now roared with one voice and were willing to die for one banner. Aditya had managed to achieve what he wanted.
"FOR THE CELESTIAL DRAGON EMPIRE!!!"
"This kid actually managed to unite the troops of every noble house under one banner." Boris chuckled as he watched the millions of soldiers chanting together. He was pleasantly surprised by the outcome, and more than anything, genuinely happy to see it.
Before this moment, Boris had carried a small concern about the structure of the allied army. These millions of soldiers had come from hundreds of different noble households. Most of them had spent their entire lives serving their own families and fighting alongside the same people. Naturally, their first instinct would be to prioritise the soldiers belonging to their own household while caring much less about what happened to troops from another faction.
Such divisions could become extremely dangerous once the battle began. An allied army might contain millions of soldiers, but if every household continued thinking and fighting as an individual force, then they would never truly function as one army.
But Aditya’s speech had changed that.
Looking at the soldiers now, Boris could feel that the invisible divisions separating the different noble households had significantly weakened. They were no longer standing here merely as soldiers of the Harrington Faction or troops belonging to some other noble family.
At this moment, they were all soldiers fighting for the same homeland.
They had one enemy.
One cause.
And one future they wanted to protect.
With everyone united under the same banner and fighting toward the same goal, Boris no longer needed to worry nearly as much about the different noble armies refusing to cooperate with one another once the battle began.
"His Majesty is very good with his words." Spencer chuckled while watching the scene unfold. Unlike Boris, he was not particularly surprised by what Aditya had accomplished.
"He certainly knows how to rally his people." Spencer was speaking from experience.
During his years serving Aditya in the Istarin Empire, he had witnessed similar scenes many times before. Whenever the situation became difficult, Aditya somehow knew what his soldiers and citizens needed to hear. More importantly, his words rarely felt like carefully prepared speeches because most of the time, he genuinely meant what he said.
"This is also one of the reasons His Majesty is so deeply loved within the Istarin Empire." Spencer added with a proud smile.
’But this is just the beginning.’
’Everyone will see the Brilliance and Magnificence of the Dragon Monarch.’
After finishing his speech, Aditya descended and landed on top of the city wall where Boris, Malakor Harrington, Wahid, and the others were waiting for him.
"Grandfathers." Aditya addressed both Boris and Malakor Harrington with a serious expression.
"I need the two of you to lead the millions of troops to the battlefield." The moment those words left his mouth, both old men frowned. The way Aditya phrased his request made it sound as though he had no intention of accompanying the army to the battlefield.
"What are you planning?" Boris immediately asked.
Aditya remained silent for a moment before turning his head and looking in the direction of the Capital.
"While my cousin is occupied with the war on the front lines, I’m going to infiltrate the Imperial Royal Palace." This was the best time to go to the Capital and save his parents from his cousin. With his parents controlled by Ren, Aditya didn’t feel at ease going to the war. That’s why he felt that saving his parents was of the utmost priority.
"I’m going to rescue my parents and bring them back." Hearing this, Boris and Malakor Harrington looked at each other. For a few seconds, neither old man knew what to say.
They had already discussed the matter of rescuing Alen and Elena several times. They both knew how important this was to Aditya, and judging from the determination visible in his eyes right now, neither believed that simply telling him not to go would accomplish anything.
Malakor was especially aware that Aditya’s chances of success had increased considerably. The treasures he had obtained from the Harrington Family’s secret treasury had given him several additional options that he previously did not possess. On top of that, Aditya had now successfully reached Beginner Sixth Order, making him significantly stronger than he had been only a few hours ago.
Boris, however, still felt that his grandson was rushing into something extremely dangerous. The Imperial Royal Palace was not a place anyone could casually infiltrate. Boris understood its defenses better than almost anyone alive because he himself had spent thousands of years strengthening them.
"You should at least take some capable people with you." Boris said with a deep frown.
"Going there with too few people is unnecessarily dangerous."
Aditya shook his head. "I won’t be going completely alone. I’ll take one of my Seventh Order military officers with me, so you don’t need to worry about that."
He then continued. "I’ve already contacted the retired Prime Minister. Through his connections, I should be able to enter the Imperial Royal Palace without causing any problems. Once I’m inside, leave the rest to me."
Boris remained silent, still clearly unhappy about the amount of danger involved.
"I’ll join all of you on the front lines as soon as I’m finished." Aditya added.
He then looked directly at Boris, Malakor Harrington, and Wahid.
"Trust me on this." Those four words immediately changed the atmosphere. After hearing Aditya personally ask for their trust, none of them tried to stop him again. Because they did trust him.
From the moment they had first met Aditya until today, he had never truly disappointed them. If anything, he had repeatedly surpassed their expectations. Again and again, Aditya had accomplished things they had initially believed were impossible or far beyond what someone of his age and cultivation should have been capable of achieving.
Whether it was as an Emperor, a commander, or a cultivator, he had continuously proven himself through his actions. So even though Boris and Malakor were still worried about what Aditya intended to do, they ultimately chose to place their faith in him. If their grandson was looking them directly in the eyes and asking them to trust him, then they would trust him.
