Spencer and Nathan are informed by Aditya that their human bloodlines are insufficient for the Main Continent's conflicts. He reveals his plan to evolve their bloodlines using a massive amount of his Divine Dragon Blood, transforming them into the highest form of Dragonians: Half-Dragon Dragonkin, essentially making them descendants of the Dragon Monarch himself.

Lilith was seated in the garden beneath a beautiful white, arched pavilion, its gracefully curved roof supported by slender pillars that gave the structure an elegant and almost delicate appearance.

The pavilion was surrounded by carefully maintained greenery and blooming flowers. At its centre was a round table surrounded by four chairs, with Lilith occupying one of them as she quietly enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere of the garden.

A refined porcelain tea set had been neatly arranged on the table before her. Several delicate teacups rested upon matching saucers, accompanied by an elegant silver teapot.

In front of Lilith was an assortment of beautiful and unique sweets brought from Axel City, each arranged carefully upon decorative serving plates.

Among them were colorful macarons with smooth, delicate shells and rich fillings, alongside several small madeleines whose lightly golden surfaces gave off a subtle buttery fragrance. The rest consisted of various local specialties from Axel City, decorated with cream, fruits, powdered sugar, and intricate patterns that made the entire spread look almost too beautiful to eat.

There was another figure sitting opposite Lilith. She had just arrived and helped herself to a cup of fragrant tea. "Since when did you start enjoying tea?" Amelia asked before taking a small sip.

Lilith who was staring at the assortment of beautiful sweets and was deciding on which sweet to start with stopped hearing her words and looked at Amelia.

"I just feel like enjoying tea today." Lilith was in no mood to start another cat fight with Amelia. So her response wasn’t sharp tongued.

"Just say the truth. You just wanted to enjoy the sweets of this city." Amelia said with a smile.

"Yeah! What’s wrong with that?"

There was another figure seated opposite Lilith. Amelia had only just arrived, yet she had already made herself comfortable and helped herself to a cup of the fragrant tea resting on the table. The warm aroma drifted gently from the porcelain cup as she raised it toward her lips. "Since when did you start enjoying tea?" Amelia asked, sounding mildly curious as she took a small sip.

Lilith, who had been completely focused on the beautiful assortment of sweets arranged before her, had been quietly deciding which one she should start with first until Amelia’s words finally pulled her attention away from the sweets. She paused for a moment before lifting her gaze and looking across the table at Amelia.

"I just feel like enjoying tea today." Lilith replied calmly. She was in no mood to start another catfight with Amelia, and because of that, her response lacked the usual sharpness that Amelia might have expected from her.

There was no biting remark or sarcastic jab this time. Lilith simply answered her and returned her attention toward the spread in front of her. "Just say the truth. You just wanted to enjoy the sweets of this city." Amelia said with a smile, clearly seeing through Lilith’s excuse without much difficulty.

"Yeah! What’s wrong with that?" Lilith responded without any hesitation, showing absolutely no shame in admitting the real reason she had chosen to sit there with an entire assortment of sweets in front of her.

"Aren’t you afraid of getting fat from eating all these sweets?" Amelia asked, knowing very well just how conscious Lilith was when it came to maintaining her figure.

Those words immediately froze Lilith in place. For a brief moment, her eyes remained fixed on the assortment of sweets before her, as if Amelia had suddenly reminded her of something she had conveniently chosen to ignore.

After thinking about it for a moment, Lilith quickly came up with a solution that allowed her to continue enjoying herself without feeling too guilty. "Once I am done eating, I will do some training, so it should be fine." She said, convincing herself that a little extra exercise afterwards would easily make up for the sweets she was about to eat.

"But you better not expect me to share any of my precious sweets." Lilith added almost immediately. As far as she was concerned, every single one of them belonged to her, and Amelia would have to find something else if she suddenly developed an appetite.

However, Amelia remained completely unbothered by Lilith’s warning. Throughout the many years she had lived, she had already tasted almost every kind of delicacy that the Celestial Dragon Empire had to offer. More importantly, Amelia had never been particularly interested in sweets in the first place, so Lilith’s attempt to protect her precious desserts meant absolutely nothing to her.

"Relax, Child! I am not interested in sweets." Amelia replied casually, taking another small sip of her tea as though the matter wasn’t even worth discussing.

Lilith was just about to turn her attention back toward the sweets when one particular part of Amelia’s sentence finally registered in her mind. Her movements stopped, and she slowly looked back at Amelia, only to find the woman sitting there with a smug look on her face.

Seeing that expression immediately rubbed Lilith the wrong way, especially since she was far more accustomed to being the one who held the upper hand whenever the two of them exchanged words.

"Stupid Elf, did you just call me a child?" Lilith glared at Amelia.

"What if I did?"

"Aren’t you acting like a child here?" Hearing this, Lilith could not find any words to respond.

Just then, Lilith spotted Wahid’s wife walking to the garden. Lilith immediately decided to use her to change the direction of the conversation.

"Aunt Yuna, would you like to join me for a cup of tea?" Lilith had another reason for inviting Yuna to join them.

Yuna spotted Lilith along with Amelia.

"Of course!"

Once Yuna sat down, Amelia also stopped from what she was about to say.

"Would you like a cup of tea?" Lilith asked in a polite tone.

"Please!"

While taking a small sip of her tea, Yuna looked toward Lilith and Amelia before speaking. "Since this is a newly rebuilt mansion, there might still be a thing or two missing. I hope the two of you won’t mind."

Although the Harrington Mansion had been rebuilt remarkably quickly after its destruction, there were still a few things that had yet to be completely restored. The workers had done their best to rebuild everything according to how the old mansion had looked, but some of the smaller details were either missing or simply could not be recreated exactly as they had been before.

The garden was one such example. The garden of the old mansion had been much larger and far more vibrant, filled with mature trees, colourful flowers, and plants that had been carefully maintained for many years. Although the newly rebuilt garden was already beautiful, the plants and trees were still young, and it would naturally take some time before they grew enough to give the garden the same appearance and atmosphere it once had.

Unfortunately, some things could never be perfectly recovered. Even if the mansion itself was rebuilt to look exactly the same, it was impossible to recreate every little detail and memory that had accumulated within the old mansion over the years.

"No, of course not." Lilith replied without showing the slightest dissatisfaction.

"This place is wonderful." Amelia added while briefly looking around the peaceful garden. She then raised her cup and took another sip of tea before continuing. "Actually, I quite like the garden here. That’s why I decided to come outside and have a cup of tea."

"That’s good to hear." Yuna felt relieved after hearing their responses. Although she knew neither Lilith nor Amelia was the type to complain about such small matters, she still wanted to make sure that they were comfortable while staying at the Harrington Mansion.

"If either of you needs anything, please don’t hesitate to ask our butler. He will arrange whatever you desire."

"Of course."

In truth, almost everything they could possibly need had already been arranged for them. Even the sweets that Lilith was eagerly preparing to enjoy had been brought out before she needed to ask for anything. In fact, it had been the butler himself who suggested that she sit in the garden and enjoy some of the mansion’s finest sweets along with a cup of tea while admiring the peaceful scenery.

As Amelia took another sip of her tea, she suddenly remembered something she had noticed earlier. "Where did Uncle Wahid and Grandpa go? I saw them leaving the mansion in quite a hurry."

Earlier, she had even noticed Boris leaving the mansion in somewhat of a hurry. Combined with everything else happening around them, it naturally made her wonder if something serious had occurred while they were relaxing in the garden. For a brief moment, she even considered the possibility that the civil war had finally begun.

If that really was the case, then the timing could not have been worse. They had only just arrived here and reunited with Aditya after being separated from him for so long. If the civil war started immediately, then Aditya would once again become occupied with battles, military planning, and countless political matters. Their peaceful time together would end before it had even properly begun.

"Well, it’s something serious."

Hearing that answer only made her more curious. Her relaxed expression faded slightly as she waited to hear what exactly had happened.
