Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1139:- Legendary Crimson Void Dragons

~7 minute read · 1,756 words

"Your Majesty, sometimes I genuinely wonder if you consider me your friend or your personal administrative slave." Spencer replied with a completely lifeless expression, looking like a man who had already lost all hope in the future.

"Maybe both!"

Once the jokes were over, Aditya looked at Spencer with a half-serious, half-smiling expression before asking, "You were told by Julia to come here, right?"

Hearing those words, Spencer froze for a brief second before slowly nodding his head. He had always known that His Majesty Aditya would eventually figure it out, but he never expected him to uncover the truth this quickly. The realization was enough to send a chill down his spine.

"Your Majesty, how did you know?" Spencer asked, his face filled with genuine curiosity.

"It’s actually quite simple. Julia has the most authority within the Dragon Palace after me. In my absence, I could easily imagine her ordering you to come here to assist me in this civil war."

Not to mention, Spencer’s job was to stay within the Istarin Empire and manage everything. Yet he came here. Spencer isn’t the type to act like this just because he felt like doing it.

The moment those words reached Spencer’s ears, Julia’s instructions echoed vividly in his mind.

Remembering her calm yet unquestionable command, Spencer could only marvel at how accurately Aditya had deduced the situation without anyone saying a single word.

Knowing Julia as well as he did, Aditya understood that she would naturally want to do something to help him. He could easily imagine her thinking that the assistance provided by his pills and potions was still limited and that he would require something more substantial during the civil war. At the same time, Aditya also suspected that Alicia might have played a part in sending Spencer here.

"It wasn’t just Lady Julia. Lady Alicia was involved as well."

Spencer paused briefly before continuing. "A few days ago, Lady Julia, Lady Alicia, Watson, and I held a private meeting that almost no one in the household knows about. During that meeting, both ladies repeatedly stressed that I should come here and assist you. They also insisted that I take the Dragon Grass and advance my cultivation to the Fifth Order."

He then explained the other reason behind their decision. "Another reason they sent me here is that communication between the Main Continent and the Six Continents is far too slow. Even at the fastest possible speed, it takes more than half a day for a letter to reach the Dragon Palace."

"They wanted to receive constant updates about everything happening here." Because, back home, the girls received letters every two to three days on average. This wasn’t fast enough. They needed someone who wrote them letters informing them about everything on a daily basis.

"Did any noble cause you trouble while I was away?" Aditya asked as he turned his attention toward Spencer.

"You already know the answer, Your Majesty." Spencer shook his head with a faint smile. "No one would dare."

That answer alone showed how different the political environment of the Istarin Empire was. Aditya had spent years establishing clear boundaries between the Imperial Government and the nobility.

He rewarded honesty, hard work, talent, loyalty, and genuine contributions to the Empire. A capable noble who governed his territory properly and improved the lives of his people could expect Aditya to recognize and reward his efforts regardless of how small or insignificant his noble title might appear.

However, the opposite was equally true. Aditya had absolutely no tolerance for corruption, deceit, abuse of authority, or deliberate laziness. Even the Lord of some distant Barony could not simply neglect his territory while thinking that the Emperor would never bother paying attention to such an insignificant piece of land. Under Aditya’s rule, there was no such thing as being too unimportant for the Imperial Government to notice.

The existence of the Shadow Guardians made sure of that.

Nathan and his men were not merely responsible for gathering military intelligence or infiltrating enemy nations. Within the Istarin Empire, they also served as Aditya’s hidden eyes and ears. They investigated suspicious officials, uncovered corruption, gathered evidence against nobles who abused their positions, and quietly monitored those who believed their wealth or status placed them beyond the Emperor’s reach.

If someone was genuinely guilty, their noble title would not protect them from the consequences.

Because of this, Aditya rarely needed to personally threaten his nobles or constantly remind them of their responsibilities. The system he had created already gave them enough reason to govern properly.

Those who worked hard and remained loyal knew that the Dragon Monarch could be extremely generous toward them, while those who attempted to exploit the Empire understood that eventually the Shadow Guardians might come knocking on their doors.

Over time, this had created a very different relationship between Aditya and the nobility. They respected him because he rewarded merit and protected those who served the Empire properly. They admired him because of everything he had accomplished and the prosperity his rule had brought them. At the same time, there was also an undeniable amount of fear.

It was not fear that Aditya might randomly destroy their families or take away their lands without reason. It was the fear of knowing that if they crossed the line, became corrupt, betrayed his trust, or abused the authority he had given them, their status would not save them.

That combination of awe, respect, loyalty, and fear was what kept the nobles of the Istarin Empire firmly beneath the authority of their Dragon Monarch.

Aditya leaned back against the edge of the table and folded his arms across his chest as he looked at the two men before him. Although Spencer and Nathan were already extremely capable by the standards of the Six Continents, the Main Continent operated on an entirely different level. Powerful 6th-order cultivators were far more common here, while true 7th-order powerhouses stood behind the strongest factions of the Celestial Dragon Empire.

"You see, if the two of you are going to remain useful to me on the Main Continent, your current strength is no longer enough." Aditya spoke plainly. This was especially important now that the civil war was approaching.

Spencer might primarily be responsible for governing and political matters, while Nathan specialised in intelligence, infiltration, and assassination, but neither of those positions guaranteed that they would remain away from danger.

"That is why I am going to evolve your bloodlines."

Both men immediately became more attentive upon hearing those words. Aditya was not talking about giving them another ordinary evolution. They had already become Dragonians long ago, and repeatedly receiving his Divine Dragon Blood had continued strengthening the bloodline that existed within their bodies.

"You two will become a much higher and more powerful form of Dragonians." Aditya calmly looked between them before deciding how far he wanted to push their evolution. "I believe five hundred drops of Divine Dragon Blood for each of you should be enough for now."

Five hundred drops was an enormous amount even compared to the Divine Dragon Blood Aditya had given to his other Dragonians. At this concentration, their existing Dragonian bloodlines would not simply become purer. They would undergo another fundamental evolution, pushing them into a bloodline category vastly superior to ordinary Dragonians.

"With five hundred drops of Divine Dragon Blood, the two of you will evolve into ." Aditya calmly explained what their next evolution would bring. "More importantly, you will no longer be considered ordinary Dragonians. Once the evolution is complete, both of you will become ."

Spencer and Nathan immediately looked at each other after hearing this. Neither of them could hide the surprise in their eyes. Just a few drops of Aditya’s Divine Dragon Blood had already completely changed their lives, transforming their bodies, increasing their potential, and granting them abilities that they never could have possessed before.

Five hundred drops was on an entirely different scale. Neither man could even begin to imagine what kind of changes such an enormous amount of Divine Dragon Blood would bring to their bodies and bloodlines, much less what new abilities they might awaken after the evolution was completed.

"What exactly is Divine Dragonkin?" Nathan asked. Despite everything he had learned about Dragons and Dragonians while serving Aditya, this was the first time he had heard this particular term.

"At that stage, you would essentially be considered direct descendants of the Dragon Monarch rather than merely humans who were transformed into Dragonians through my blood." Aditya paused briefly before continuing his explanation.

"This is the highest form of evolution that a Dragonian can reach. Once you reach that stage, your Dragon bloodline will have evolved so far that the difference between you and naturally born high-ranking Dragons will become extremely small."

A Divine Dragon Dragonkin bloodline would be comparable to that of a genuine Divine Dragon. In certain aspects, its quality might even slightly surpass the Divine Dragon Blood flowing through Rin’s body.

Rin herself possessed Divine Dragon Blood, so there was no question that her bloodline stood among the highest-ranking Dragon bloodlines in existence. However, Divine Dragon Blood was not equal simply because two individuals possessed bloodlines carrying the same classification. There were differences in purity, origin, authority, and the level of the Dragon from whom that bloodline originated.

That was where Aditya stood apart.

His Divine Dragon Blood came from the Dragon Monarch.

Rin might be a Divine Dragon, but she did not possess the authority or bloodline supremacy belonging to the Dragon Monarch. Aditya’s blood naturally stood at a higher position within the hierarchy of Dragons. Therefore, after Spencer and Nathan repeatedly evolved using such a large quantity of his blood, their resulting bloodlines would carry traces of that same superior origin.

They would not become Dragon Monarchs themselves, nor would they possess Aditya’s authority over the Dragon Race. However, their bloodlines would become directly connected to his, placing them in an entirely different category from ordinary Dragonians.

That was what being a Half-Dragon Dragonkin truly represented. They would no longer merely be people who had been turned into Dragons. They would become beings whose very blood recognized them as half descendants of the Dragon Monarch.
