Victor reveals himself as the one responsible for the disappearances of Istarin Empire soldiers, showcasing dozens of their skulls as trophies of his prolonged torture. Aditya becomes enraged by Victor's confession, and as his anger escalates, the environment reacts violently to his surging power.

"Are you angry, Aditya?" Victor’s voice dripped with a mocking smirk.

Aditya advanced, undeterred by the cultivation disparity. He showed no trace of fear towards Victor.

Observing this, Victor mirrored his movement, taking a step forward as well.

The two stood merely a meter apart, the tension palpable.

"You wish to kill me?" Victor inquired, his smile laced with mockery.

"I shall grant you the same demise you inflicted upon my soldiers," Aditya responded, his voice as cold as ice.

Victor erupted into laughter at this, perceiving Aditya’s threat as nothing more than a jest.

To slay him on the Main Continent, where his cultivation was not hindered, was an absurd notion!

This was not one of the six continents where Aditya could easily dominate any cultivator. This was the Main Continent.

Victor’s smile vanished, and his gaze settled seriously upon Aditya. "My desire to make you suffer is a billion times stronger than your desire to end me."

He then began pacing around Aditya, completely unfazed by the potential threat of an attack from Boris or Harrington.

The reason for his lack of apprehension was simple: he, too, was a peak 7th-order cultivator. Furthermore, he hadn't arrived to taunt Aditya without a carefully laid plan.

The only individual present who could pose a true threat to him was Boris, who surpassed him in power. Yet, fear did not grip him.

"You see, I intended to kill you."

"But with each soldier I tortured, hearing their pleas for your name as they hoped you would miraculously appear to save them, a new thought began to form."

Victor’s gaze drifted towards the three goddesses standing not far from Aditya before he continued,

"What if, instead of ending your life, I extinguish those you hold most dear right before your eyes?"

Booom!!!

Aditya unleashed a torrent of terrifying killing intent towards Victor. However, Victor's power was so immense that the onslaught had little effect.

Victor felt no suffocation, no threat, and no pressure.

He ceased his circling and fixed his gaze upon Aditya, his expression hardening into a cold seriousness.

"Ending your life is the easy path, Aditya."

Had Victor truly wished it, he could have concluded the confrontation right then. Even with all the individuals present, he believed he stood a genuine chance of slaying Aditya. But that was not his objective. A swift end would negate the profound meaning behind the vengeance he had long awaited. He slowly produced a cigar, lit it, and drew a long, deep puff before exhaling the smoke directly at Aditya. There was no haste in his movements, no urgency in his countenance; everything about him exuded a man relishing the moment.

"Killing you would be simple... but I want you to feel this first."

"I want you to endure the exact same agony."

"You must experience every moment of suffering I endured."

"What makes you believe you can depart this place alive?" the Goddess of War demanded, her voice laced with ice as she aimed the tip of her spear at Victor. She had sensed his intense animosity towards Aditya from the outset.

She had intended to question Aditya about it later, but unexpectedly, Victor had returned after leaving with the nobles.

Victor, however, appeared remarkably at ease.

"Because this is Aditya’s retribution. He shall have his opportunity to exact revenge upon me during this Civil War."

Victor then directed his attention back to Aditya.

"You must despise me as much as I detest you. No, actually, my hatred for you runs deeper."

"The sole reason I am participating in the Civil War is to get my hands on you. If you share the same ambition, you know precisely where my battles will unfold," Victor stated before turning and commencing his departure.

The Goddess of War, despite her strong desire to strike him down, held back. Even Boris and Harrington refrained from action, their fury palpable. Though Victor’s words were aimed squarely at Aditya, the two elders felt a surge of intense anger.

Victor paused at the doorway and spoke without turning around, "I shall be awaiting you. Do not keep me waiting."

Aditya remained silent, his gaze fixed on Victor's receding figure until it vanished from his sight.

He then looked down, gently retrieving one of the skulls.

'You all cried out my name in your final moments. I failed to be there to offer salvation.'

'The least I can do for all of you is to ensure he meets the most agonizing death imaginable.' The only factor preventing Aditya from immediate action was his current cultivation level.

He understood that confronting the current Victor with his present cultivation, even with all available stat enhancements, would still leave him no chance of victory.

"Are you alright?" Athena inquired, her voice incredibly gentle as she placed a hand on his left shoulder.

"I am!" With that affirmation, Aditya’s gaze swept over the remaining individuals present at the somber gathering.

Aditya drew a long, steadying breath, consciously calming himself. He recognized that losing his composure or focus at this instant would inevitably lead to the loss of everything.

A brief hush fell, and though Aditya's outward composure returned, a deep-seated fury still simmered within him.

"My deepest thanks for revealing the truth," Duke Cassian approached Aditya, gratitude evident in his voice.

Had it not been for Aditya's revelation in the Spiritual World, he would remain ignorant of the actual events. The enigmatic Organization was indeed behind his brother's demise, and the most staggering revelation was Emperor Ren's status as a mere puppet under their command.

It was his intent that day to visit his brother's chambers, intending to discuss the escalating political turmoil within the Celestial Dragon Empire and the looming specter of civil war. He also meant to share details of his encounter with the exiled Crown Prince and the former Emperor in the spiritual realm. His plan was to confer with his brother, jointly deciding whether to back Aditya or abstain from the burgeoning conflict.

However, upon entering the room, he was met with the sight of his brother, already deceased. For a fleeting instant, sanity seemed to slip away, as shock, rage, and disbelief threatened to overwhelm him.

It was then that his meeting with Aditya, and the accompanying warning, resurfaced in his mind. Aditya had explicitly stated that his brother's name was on the Organization's target list. Regrettably, Cassian had not given these words the gravity they deserved at the time.

This oversight had now become the most profound and agonizing regret of his existence.

Cassian understood this regret would forever remain with him.

"There is no need. Truthfully, I did not wish for his death either." Even Aditya had not anticipated the Organization targeting General Nico William so soon. His initial assessment suggested they would prioritize targets whose elimination would yield a more gradual and controlled impact. However, this action indicated that their strategies did not always adhere to predictable patterns.

It felt nearly impossible to grasp the Organization's operational methods. Their choices, their timing, and their chosen targets often defied logical interpretation from an external perspective. Aditya had no clear understanding of their leader's true nature or the thought processes that drove such decisions.

Nevertheless, one fact remained undeniable: the Organization wielded a power that surpassed any single Empire on this world. With an operational history spanning over a million years, Leo had amassed a vast array of hidden resources. It could be observed that nearly every significant adversary Aditya had encountered thus far shared a connection to this Organization.

"I offer my condolences for your loss."

Aditya remained silent, offering no reply nor acknowledging the sentiment. To him, such words held no value. Sympathy was not what he sought; it would bring about no change. His desires were far more severe.

He yearned to hear Victor's agonized screams. He wished for that man to endure the same torment he inflicted upon his soldiers before ending their lives.

In that moment, Aditya felt a profound self-loathing. For the first time in a considerable period, he truly despised his own perceived weakness. Back in the Six Continents, such feelings were alien to him. He had always maintained absolute control, residing at the zenith of power. Yet, here, on the Main Continent, everything was drastically altered. The chasm separating him from others was as immense as the difference between the heavens and the earth.

Had he possessed greater strength that day, Victor would never have departed that funeral alive. The only remnants returning to the Night Rider Sect would have been Victor's severed head, and that would have been after Aditya had thoroughly savored his victory.

He could not utilize the system to elevate his cultivation directly to the 7th-order. The very existence of the system had to be concealed. Should his power surge so dramatically, he would have no plausible explanation to offer anyone.
