The girls applied a potent healing potion to the poisoned Aditya, but it failed against the unknown toxin ravaging his body. Desperate, Lilith fetched Rin to provide her divine blood, which Julia carefully mixed into a new antidote amid mounting tension and dwindling time. As Aditya reflected on his life's regrets in his final moments, they administered the antidote just before his death.

"Why isn’t he waking up?" Lilith and Rin turned their gazes toward Julia. Riya stayed quiet and composed, grasping the process far better than the other two.

"The antinode is functioning, though it requires time."

"At least he’s no longer teetering on death’s edge right now, and his condition improves bit by bit."

Rin glanced at his face, observing how his complexion brightened. No more blood trickled from his mouth, nose, eyes, or ears.

’That’s fantastic!’ Witnessing this, she breathed a deep sigh of relief. It felt like a massive burden had lifted from her chest. She couldn’t quite describe the tension gripping her all this while.

Having endured years of brutality and the loss of her whole family, Rin wasn’t prepared for another shattering loss of someone so dear. This time around, recovery might prove impossible.

"Allow me to check the transformations occurring within his body. That way, I can predict fairly precisely when he’ll awaken."

"Yes, please do it!!!"

Roughly 10 minutes passed before the goddess of alchemy determined their husband would rouse in about 5 to 6 hours. Even so, he might lack the power to move or stand alone. At minimum, he’d require 15 hours of rest.

"That’s excellent news."

"I’ll clean him up personally." Lilith insisted on handling it herself.

"Count me in to assist." Normally, Lilith would decline, but circumstances were far from ordinary. She gave a nod. Extra hands made everything smoother.

Julia and Riya didn’t protest and allowed Lilith and Rin to tend to him for the moment.

As Riya and Rin prepared to depart, Riya spotted Julia mixing up some potion.

"What’s that you’re making?"

"I see the claw marks across his chest aren’t healing one bit. Wounds this severe ought to display recovery signs by now, indicating something blocks the process. It’s surely the poison infiltrating via those injuries."

"I plan to whip up a unique medicinal paste for direct application on the damaged spots. With the poison seeping in through the claw marks, external treatment could extract it more efficiently and hasten his full recovery."

"Fine, I’ll lend a hand then."

"No need, I’ve got this solo."

Riya simply smiled and positioned herself beside her. Julia’s stubborn streak was unbreakable; no swaying her now.

Julia said nothing more. The pair worked side by side in perfect harmony, silent and focused.

"The ancient dragon has failed." The core member eyed the organization leader, noting his serene demeanor and faint smile.

"Your face suggests you foresaw this result." Leo nodded. Killing Aditya so easily would have prompted him to witness the Six Continents spectacle firsthand.

"My goal from the start wasn’t to slay the Dragon Monarch. I aimed to probe two key elements."

"First, to gauge the poison crafted from divine dragon blood drops against the Dragon Monarch. I anticipated its effect, yet knew the goddess of alchemy beside him would swiftly concoct a counter."

The result matched his foresight perfectly. What exceeded expectations was the empire’s defensive prowess.

Throughout the month, scout reports detailed the emperor fortifying defenses city by city across the Istarin Empire. Unaware of their true strength, he required a tester.

"The second aim was probing the major cities’ defenses in the empire. Both trials succeeded brilliantly. We now possess precise data on the Dragon Monarch’s might and his empire’s fortifications."

"Plus, we gleaned bonus intel on the Dragon Palace’s long-distance teleportation powers."

The ancient dragon served merely as a pawn for his ends.

"Truthfully, I hadn’t plotted for the ancient dragon. I seized him back then solely to verify if a mighty ancient dragon could be dominated. Afterward, I stashed him hibernating in prison, figuring he might prove useful later."

"I reckon he’ll appear on the mainland shortly." Knowing the Dragon Monarch, his two-month delay stemmed from bolstering empire defenses, safeguarding his people during absence.

With upgrades complete, nothing restrained his mainland voyage.

"The real intrigue lies in his strategy against his cousin." Leo eagerly awaited developments. Over 1 million years old, he feared no Aditya, undoubtedly the finest talent he’d encountered. Only the Crimson Dragon King rivaled such brilliance.

"Likely, he’ll rally elders and past emperors to his cause."

"That seems probable. Without their backing, he lacks authority to throne-challenge his cousin. Exiled entirely from the mainland, return risks imprisonment or execution legally."

"Exile severed all royal ties too. It’ll be riveting to witness his counter-strategy."

"Alfred’s vast experience ensures any scheme he crafts proves highly effective." Plan details mattered little; luring him into the trap did.

24 hours post-incident, Aditya’s health hit full restoration. Chest wounds healed flawlessly, claw scars vanished entirely.

Upon waking, intense dizziness and frailty struck, rendering self-walking impossible.

Luckily, Julia’s potions, brewed during his 15-hour unconsciousness, enabled complete recovery in just one day.

Next morning after breakfast, Aditya gathered with the group.

"I’ve fully recovered. No sense delaying; I should embark for the Main Continent now."

The women nodded knowingly. Julia alone kept her head down, lost in thought.

He’d forewarned them of this moment.

"Could you wait just one more day?" Julia pleaded softly after a pause. Her earnest gaze made refusal impossible.

"Very well! I’ll depart tomorrow morning post-breakfast."

"Who’s joining you on this trip initially?" Lilith inquired. She yearned to accompany, yet recognized her moment hadn’t arrived.

"Grandpa Alfred awaits me at the Dwarf Tribe; I dispatched him ahead." Over two months, Alfred shuttled to dwarf lands regularly. Dwarves aided Aditya in mapping Celestial Dragon Empire’s political landscape—vital for clashing with his cousin.

"Tomorrow, Rin, Athena, and I set out. Dwarf territory triggers the plan’s next stage."

"Rin will first secure an audience with my parents, gauging their stance." She proposed this a month and a half back during family talks.

Six enables pulling anyone from the six continents into the spiritual world. In Tunnel World, she draws from there and Main Continent too. Hence, dwarves mark the starting point.
