Divine King of Honour Chapter 1844: Law Heavenly Pool
Previously on Divine King of Honour...
"Boom!"
With a tremendous crash, Xu Nian slammed into the canyon floor, carving out a massive crater in his wake.
"The pain is unbearable! The water bomb attack from this Divine-level expert is truly fearsome," Xu Nian groaned, feeling as though every bone in his body was on the verge of shattering.
He knew that if he hadn't quickly summoned his Supreme Dragon Robe, that final onslaught could well have ended his life.
Xu Nian pushed himself out of the crater, his internal injuries already beginning to mend.
The regenerative power of his Supreme Dragon Body was remarkably swift; while agonizing, the damage sustained was not fatal.
Standing up, Xu Nian gazed back up towards the canyon rim. The colossal Divine-level serpent remained hovering about five hundred meters above, its eyes fixed on him from its perch on the rock face.
Curiously, it made no move to descend, suggesting some unseen deterrent within the canyon held it at bay.
"Swoosh!"
Just then, another figure plummeted from above – it was Mu Yuqing, who had been afflicted by poison.
"Why did you come down here?" Xu Nian asked, a note of surprise in his voice.
"A black panther pursued me relentlessly; I had no other place to hide, so I was forced to leap down," Mu Yuqing explained breathlessly.
Xu Nian nodded in understanding and immediately offered her the Hell Flower he had managed to acquire. "See if this can counteract the poison within you," he urged.
"Understood!" Without hesitation, Mu Yuqing began to ingest the Hell Flower, absorbing its potent medicinal essence.
After approximately fifteen minutes, Mu Yuqing had fully absorbed the entirety of the Hell Flower’s power. The poisonous effects within her body seemed neutralized, and a visible improvement in her complexion was apparent.
"Thank you, Xu Nian. The poison has been neutralized," Mu Yuqing announced, rising to her feet and addressing him.
She then shifted, transforming into a sleek black dress that accentuated her slender, elegant form, rendering her absolutely captivating.
It was undeniable that Mu Yuqing possessed a striking allure, her long, snow-white legs having an almost hypnotic effect.
Xu Nian found himself momentarily captivated by her appearance.
He had to admit, Mu Yuqing’s beauty rivaled that of Murong Xue. Furthermore, he couldn’t shake a persistent, peculiar sense of familiarity whenever he looked at her.
"What is it? Is there something on my face?" Mu Yuqing inquired, noticing Xu Nian’s prolonged gaze.
"No, it’s just… you seem familiar, as if we've crossed paths before," Xu Nian admitted, a thought that had occurred to him previously.
He was certain, however, that they had never actually met. After all, he had never set foot in the Netherworld; how then could he have encountered Mu Yuqing?
"Actually, I feel precisely the same way, like I’ve encountered you before, yet I cannot recall ever meeting you. It’s quite peculiar," Mu Yuqing confessed, her brow furrowed in puzzlement.
"You too? You feel the same unfamiliar familiarity?" Xu Nian exclaimed, taken aback by her shared sentiment.
"It’s said your birth occurred in the Heavenly Immortal Realm, implying you carry memories from a past life. Could it be that your previous existence was in the Divine World?" Xu Nian ventured, posing a speculative question.
"Yes, I hail from the Divine World. However, for me, that realm is associated with deeply unpleasant recollections," Mu Yuqing responded, a shadow of sadness crossing her features.
It was evident that memories of her past life were a source of significant distress for her.
"Since your past life was in the Divine World, and I originate from the Mortal Realm—and as you know, I am an Immortal—it seems unlikely we would share any connection," Xu Nian reasoned.
Mu Yuqing nodded in agreement. That was indeed the perplexing aspect.
For reasons she couldn't articulate, an undeniable sense of familiarity bound her to Xu Nian. This feeling fostered a desire to be near him, accompanied by an inexplicable trust.
The underlying cause for this profound connection remained a mystery to her.
"We should probably investigate what lies deeper within this canyon. Something feels different; ever since we fell, an unusual quiet has settled over this place," Xu Nian observed, his gaze sweeping the surroundings with a solemn expression.
While Mu Yuqing was occupied with absorbing the Hell Flower, he had taken the opportunity to survey their environment. He noted the strange disappearance of any hostile intent and the pervasive, unnerving silence.
The quiet was so profound that the faintest sound could be clearly perceived.
"Indeed, this canyon is most peculiar. Even those two formidable Divine-level Netherworld Beasts maintained their distance, refraining from entering. This strongly suggests the presence of something here that instills profound fear in them," Mu Yuqing stated gravely.
Xu Nian nodded in concurrence.
"With those two Divine-level Netherworld Beasts guarding the path back, retreat is impossible. Our only option is to advance," Xu Nian proposed.
Mu Yuqing readily concurred. A lone black panther had already proven a formidable challenge; facing it alongside a Divine-level giant serpent would be suicidal.
Attempting to ascend now would be akin to inviting certain doom.
"Let’s proceed!"
Thus, the two cautiously ventured deeper into the canyon.
The canyon stretched onward, gradually widening as they progressed. Exotic flora and rare plants flourished along the path.
These were not ordinary plants; they were exceptionally valuable herbs native to the Netherworld, each one a potential fortune.
Some of these sought-after herbs were even coveted by those at the Divine-level of cultivation.
Yet these rare treasures showed no signs of having been picked.
Clearly, this place was almost untouched.
They hadn’t been walking long before they witnessed a shocking sight.
"What is this..." Xu Nian exclaimed in surprise.
Mu Yuqing also looked shocked, her cool eyes fixed on a pool of water ahead.
The pool had a remarkably translucent, soil-yellow color.
"This is the Law Heavenly Pool!" Mu Yuqing exclaimed.
"Law Heavenly Pool?" Xu Nian asked in surprise.
Xu Nian had vaguely heard Emperor Ye Tian mention the Law Heavenly Pool.
The Law Heavenly Pool was said to be created by powerful beings in the Divine World, who instilled the Tao of Heaven and Earth into a pool of water to help future generations of their sect quickly understand the Attribute Law.
This made the entire pool brim with laws.
Thus, anyone entering the Law Heavenly Pool could completely immerse themselves in that Attribute Law.
Training for one day inside was equivalent to a hundred years outside.
However, creating a Law Heavenly Pool required at least Daluo God Level strength.
Yet the presence of a Law Heavenly Pool here suggested that a Daluo God Level expert might be residing here?
Xu Nian felt more and more astonished.
Mu Yuqing also fell into contemplation, realizing the same possibility.
This canyon could very well be the home of an incredibly powerful Daluo God Level expert.
"It’s a pity it’s an Earth Attribute Law Pool. I’m Wood Attribute, and you’re Wind Attribute, so this Law Heavenly Pool is useless to us. Otherwise, this would be a great opportunity," Mu Yuqing said with regret.
"You mean, if it were the Earth Attribute, one could train in the pool?" Xu Nian asked.
"Yes, a Law Heavenly Pool is an extremely rare treasure. No matter who created it, for whatever reason, such a great opportunity lies before one. If you don’t seize it, you’ll never achieve anything significant," Mu Yuqing said resolutely.
Xu Nian’s heart was touched by her words.
Indeed!
No matter what danger lies ahead, securing this opportunity comes first.
"Buzz!"
With a flicker, Xu Nian’s Divine Demon Avatar appeared beside him.
"Earth Attribute Avatar?"
Mu Yuqing exclaimed in surprise, evidently not expecting Xu Nian to have an Earth Attribute Avatar.
