Ye Xiao resolved to activate his Bloodline of Calamity, risking bodily explosion, to confront the approaching Being of Chaos and safeguard his family in the Heavens. Keeping his plan secret from the watchful Heavens, he bid tearful goodbyes to his wives, children, grandchildren, master, and old man Tong after millennia of companionship. Honoring his promise, he agreed to escort Queen into the deadly Void of Chaos, confirmed by the sprouting Flower of Chaos that it could shield her effortlessly.

A radiant smile bloomed across Queen's face upon hearing that Ye Xiao could assist her. Moments later, the pair swiftly departed from the Heavens.

The Heavens was fully aware as Ye Xiao escorted Queen away. Yet, it neither spoke nor acted to hinder him. Queen held immense importance, yet her survival and growth in Chaos would ultimately bring benefits even to the Heavens itself.

This stemmed from the Heavens' deep bond with Queen through soul and essence, much like its former link with Ye Xiao. That connection severed, however, once the Domineering God Crystal emerged.

Queen's tie to the Heavens remained intact. As the Heavens' firstborn, how could it not cherish her deeply?

The Heavens once shared bonds with the nine Ancestral Dragons too, but their betrayal ignited its fury, prompting it to shatter those links.

Should Queen thrive in Chaos and surpass the Heavens' current power, the Heavens could draw strength from the soul feedback through their enduring connection.

For that reason, it made no move to block her departure.

Before long, Ye Xiao and Queen stood before the Cosmic Membrane.

For Ye Xiao, this marked his inaugural visit. Despite his prior suspicions, astonishment gripped him upon confirming that the Cosmic Membrane truly consisted of a protective layer forged from the fusion of 3,000 Laws of Heavenly Dao.

Unlike a Source Universe such as the Heavens, Ye Xiao's universe lacked any Cosmic Membrane encasing its edges. Truthfully, it possessed no boundaries at all, despite its modest scale. This boundaryless nature granted Ye Xiao a superior edge against other Source Universes, allowing infinite evolution until one day his universe could rival Chaos itself.

Such an accomplishment would stun the cosmos.

Upon their arrival, true to its vow, the Heavens parted the Cosmic Membrane with a narrow opening sufficient for the duo to slip through.

Right then, Ye Xiao discerned precisely three thousand layers within the Cosmic Membrane, each born from the merging of 3,000 Laws of Heavenly Dao.

Beyond the Cosmic Membrane lay utter darkness.

Exchanging glances, Ye Xiao and Queen entered the breach, paused to gaze back one final time at the Heavens, then crossed fully into the Void of Chaos.

Instantly upon exiting the Cosmic Membrane, an overwhelming alien force assailed them from all sides, its nature beyond comprehension. This energy raged with ferocity, bearing corrosive might that could dissolve their forms in a heartbeat.

Terror defined this peril.

Thankfully, the Flower of Chaos intervened promptly, enveloping Queen's form in a protective barrier shaped like her body, fully repelling the onslaught of rampaging Chaos Energy.

From the Void of Chaos, Ye Xiao and Queen beheld the Heavens, realizing it appeared far smaller than from within. Now it resembled a colossal egg, spanning roughly a thousand miles in length and width, its Cosmic Membrane serving as the eggshell.

Thus appeared the Heavens from without. Ye Xiao had never imagined its external modesty. No surprise, then, that spotting a Source Universe amid Chaos proved so arduous—it scarcely matched its true vastness when viewed from the Void of Chaos.

Did Ye Xiao's Universe share this trait?

Not necessarily for Ye Xiao's Universe. Though similar in many ways, it diverged entirely from typical Source Universes.

In any case, the Heavens' outer visage stunned Ye Xiao and Queen, though they quickly regained composure and examined their bodies.

Surprise filled Queen as she inspected herself, sensing a chilling veil across her form—like an unseen icy shroud granting an exquisite sensation.

She realized this invisible icy layer shielded her from the destructive, wild Chaos Energy without, preventing any intrusion. It had preserved her life, yet it also hindered her acclimation to the external chaos.

Unable to resist, she requested Ye Xiao allow a minuscule trace of Chaos Energy to touch her.

Even before Ye Xiao responded, the Lotus of Chaos acted, refining a solitary thread of Chaos Energy that seeped into Queen's body. Agony unlike any before tore through her, as if myriad venomous ants gnawed at both flesh and soul. Such torment was utterly horrifying.

However, that single strand of Cosmic Energy proved insufficient to slay Queen, owing to her immense vitality and extraordinarily powerful life force. Rather, it assisted her in swiftly adapting to the Void of Chaos.

In stark contrast, Ye Xiao endured a vastly different fate. The Lotus of Chaos erected no invisible barrier to halt the rampaging Chaos Energy from penetrating his body. On the contrary, it allowed the ferocious Chaos Energy to flood inside, tormenting Ye Xiao with such excruciating pain that he desperately wished for death over continued existence.

Ordinary people endure the agony of their body and soul corroding and shattering under berserk Chaos Energy just once, yet Ye Xiao suffered this torment repeatedly in an endless loop.

Thankfully, the instant berserk Chaos Energy surged into Ye Xiao's body, the Lotus of Chaos devoured it all. This lotus relentlessly consumed the Chaos Energy, fueling its ceaseless expansion. Its growth rate had accelerated to at least 100, or possibly 1,000 times faster than earlier.

Gradually, Ye Xiao's physique began acclimating to the berserk Chaos Energy, thanks to the Lotus of Chaos. Even more vital, the Heavenly Demon's bloodline occasionally absorbed traces of Chaos Energy, sparking a massive transformation.

Ten minutes passed in a flash.

True to what she had shared with Ye Xiao, Queen rapidly adjusted to the berserk Chaos Energy. Now, even without any shield, the rampaging Chaos Energy could invade her body without harm. She would suffer no ill effects.

She glanced at Ye Xiao, whose face contorted in agony. She asked: "Ye Xiao, what happened?"

It never occurred to her that Ye Xiao might be tormented by the berserk Chaos Energy. In her view, since he had fully blocked it from outside her body, he simply couldn't be impacted himself.

Ye Xiao regarded Queen in silence. He invoked the Eyes of Insight, his eyes shimmering with green radiance, piercing her condition with ease. He quickly confirmed she had genuinely adapted to the berserk Chaos Energy.

The Being of Chaos neared rapidly. He sensed a profoundly ominous aura hurtling toward them at alarming speed. Unwilling for Queen to come to harm, he commanded: "Leave immediately, a terrifying enemy is approaching. If you don't escape now, you will die here!"

"What?" Queen jolted in shock. She couldn't help thinking, 'Isn't the war already over?'

"What enemy is approaching?" She asked in haste.

"You don't need to worry about that. Just know that it is an extremely terrifying enemy. Just run in any direction!"

"No, I will help you!" Queen shook her head, rejecting him outright. She had no intention of deserting Ye Xiao in his hour of need to flee alone. She wasn't that sort of individual. Having already wronged him by concealing the truth, she refused to further tarnish her image in his eyes.

What if she fled and Ye Xiao branded her a coward?

"Go! there is not much time left. Hurry up and escape." Ye Xiao shouted urgently. Time was truly running out. He reckoned the Being of Chaos would arrive in under five minutes.

To urge Queen as far away as possible, he added: "This enemy is very terrifying. I don't know who it is, but the previous army of Chaos, the Heavens, and I, that enemy could destroy all of us in an instant. If you don't want to die then escape!"

Queen recoiled in astonishment. Yet she swiftly regained her wits.
