As dawn broke and the sky began to glow, the entire Feather City remained enveloped in the shadows preceding sunrise...

In the Silver Moon Sect

"Outer disciple Ye Xiao, your dantian has ruptured today, making it impossible for you to cultivate martial arts any longer. For that reason, you are banned from approaching our Silver Moon Sect's grounds for the rest of your life, not even by half a step." A stern elder in his early fifties declared coldly from the Grand Elder's position. Numerous other elders surrounded him, while the sect leader occupied the main seat, attentively following the Grand Elder's words.

Kneeling before them was a youth of about fifteen years old.

"But Grand Elder, my dantian shattered while I was guarding the medicine garden. It was your disciple Zhou Yan, aided by a core disciple, who destroyed it. You should punish them, not me." Ye Xiao pleaded.

"Silence!"

"You're nothing but a cripple now, worthless trash, yet you still try to make excuses to linger here." The Grand Elder bellowed icily.

"I... I've done so much for the sect, and this is how it treats me?" Ye Xiao uttered, his body wracked with agony.

"We've already done all we could for you, and you still argue? The sect leader gave you 3000 silver coins—that's more than enough." The third elder interjected.

"Sect leader, Elder Wu, I, Ye Xiao, was raised here from childhood, yet you prove so heartless. Fine then—from today, I, Ye Xiao, sever all ties with the Silver Moon Sect." With that, he rose and headed toward the sect's exit.

"Hold on."

Ye Xiao halted, spun around, and faced the icy expressions of the Grand Elder, sect leader, and various other Silver Moon Sect elders.

"What now? Is there more to say?" Ye Xiao demanded coldly.

The Grand Elder gestured at a cloth bundle that concealed something within and stated, "You forgot your silver coins. Take them and go."

"No need. Don't worry, I'll manage alone. But mark my words—one day, I'll return for revenge." He declared, turned, and departed.

As he exited, countless disciples pointed and jeered at him.

"Look, the cripple Ye Xiao is coming."

"Useless trash."

"Told you he'd get booted after that mess."

.....

These taunts made him clench his fists, vowing silently that if his dantian could heal, he'd return someday to avenge himself against these ruthless disciples and elders.

Ye Xiao, an outer court disciple of the Silver Moon Sect, had reached the First Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm by age fifteen—a true genius in the sect. Orphaned, he was discovered begging on the streets by Fifth Elder Ye Fan during an outing. Impressed by the boy's potential for greatness, Ye Fan brought him back, bestowed his own surname, and raised him.

Under Fifth Elder's tutelage, Ye Xiao thrived, viewing the Silver Moon Sect as family—until news arrived of Ye Fan's death.

The Fifth Elder perished battling a fourth rank magical beast to secure a rare medicinal herb.

After Ye Fan's passing, Ye Xiao's days in the sect turned harsh. He lost his standing, demoted to tending herbs in the medicine garden, and frequently tormented by stronger disciples.

Despite it all, he labored diligently for the sect that had granted him new life.

The day before, he ventured into Black Cloud Forest to slay a first rank magical beast—a mountain bear—for his mission. Upon returning and reporting success, he entered the medicine garden only to catch Grand Elder's disciple Zhou Yan, at the ninth stage of Body Tempering, pilfering a premium herb. A formidable middle-aged man stood nearby, exuding immense power.

Attempting to intervene, Ye Xiao was savagely beaten, his dantian shattered. Numerous valuable herbs were also ruined.

Still in torment, Law Enforcement disciples and elders arrived, bound him with ropes, and hauled him before the sect leader.

There, Zhou Yan, backed by his master the Grand Elder, falsely accused him, leading to his expulsion.

He laid out the full truth to the sect leader and elders, but none believed him.

He came to see that everyone there stood against him. In a flash, it hit him that the Grand Elder held grudges against Fifth Elder Ye Fan, and none of the elders dared oppose the Grand Elder—not even the sect leader of Silver Moon Sect.

For six years, he had faithfully served his sect, yet his own sect members trampled him without mercy. This ignited a burning hatred within him for the Silver Moon Sect.

Sect disciples relished mocking him as he trudged slowly toward the Black Cloud Forest.
