Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100 Chapter 2075 A Joint attack of Devils and Angels!
Previously on Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100...
All four pseudo cosmic path attacks slammed into the golden fire at nearly the same instant. For one moment, the surrounding land was filled with clashing powers, and then the Primordial Flames overwhelmed every one of them.
The crimson chains melted apart and scattered as golden sparks. The black spear shattered and vanished. The giant claw fell apart before it ever reached Max, and the dark blades were swallowed by the expanding flames and erased one after another.
The explosion kept rolling outward, and all four attacking devils were caught head-on. Their bodies were flung backward like broken puppets as golden flames spread across their skin.
Even the 5th level devil and the leader at the 6th level were pushed back several steps despite standing farther away, and their expressions changed as small patches of their own skin began to burn.
These golden flames didn't behave like ordinary fire. They clung to their bodies with terrifying persistence.
The four weaker devils had it far worse. They hit the ground screaming.
"Ahhh!"
"What kind of flame is this?!"
"Put it out!"
"It won't go out!"
Their voices carried across the barren land while the Primordial Flames kept burning them.
The flames were incredibly pure, and their nature was purification. That property was already dangerous against ordinary enemies, but against devils whose bodies and energy were steeped in corrupted power, the effect turned brutal. The flames treated that corruption like filth that had to be burned away, and the more demonic energy the four devils poured out to resist, the worse the pain seemed to get.
Through the Dimensional Sovereign Body, Max could see all six of them clearly.
The four weaker devils were already in terrible shape, and killing them would not have been difficult if he pressed the attack.
Yet Max didn't move toward them.
Instead, seven-colored lightning flashed around his body.
Crack!
His figure vanished, and a streak of multicolored lightning shot across the barren land in the direction of the Ten Shadows Trial.
The 6th level devil's expression changed at once. "After him!"
He ignored the burning pain on his skin and rushed forward, and the 5th level devil followed immediately.
The other four couldn't move. They were still rolling on the ground while the Primordial Flames ate through their bodies and their demonic energy.
Max glanced back briefly and saw only two devils still chasing him, which was exactly what he had expected. Even so, he had no intention of easing up.
The aura around the seven-colored lightning suddenly deepened as a powerful path pressure spread out from his body.
"Pseudo Cosmic Path, Divine King Punishment."
The lightning around him erupted, and his speed climbed sharply. The gap between Max and the two pursuing devils widened almost instantly.
The 6th level devil's eyes went wide. "How is this Primordial so damn fast?!"
He could barely believe what he was seeing. He was already at the 6th level of the Divine Lord Realm, and while speed had never been his greatest strength, he had never imagined that someone at the 1st level of the Law Manifestation Realm could leave him behind this easily.
That was exactly what was happening, though. Within moments, Max had become nothing more than a distant streak of seven-colored light.
The 5th level devil slowed a little. "What do we do now?"
The leader watched the fading lightning for several breaths before his expression settled back into calm. "Forget him."
The other devil frowned. "We're just letting him go?"
"Killing him ourselves was never the job," the leader said.
A cold smile spread across his face. "All we had to do was slow him down."
The 5th level devil's expression shifted slightly.
The leader looked off in the direction Max had disappeared. "The angels will take care of the rest."
He paused, then added quietly, "Drevor was right about him. This Primordial is hard to kill."
+++++
Far from the site of the ambush, Max tore through the sky at terrifying speed.
Seven-colored lightning wrapped around his whole body, and every movement left a brilliant trail behind him in the heavens. The landscape below blurred into streaks of pale yellow and black as he pushed Divine King Punishment as hard as he could.
His expression remained calm.
'The devils and the angels are working together.'
Max had figured that out almost from the start, and it was the reason he had chosen to flee instead of staying behind to kill the six devils.
The moment they surrounded him, the Dimensional Sovereign Body had already picked up something farther away. There were several hidden presences out there, and they belonged to angels.
They had stayed off the battlefield and kept their auras carefully suppressed, but they couldn't fully hide from his spatial perception, and that told him everything he needed to know.
The devils were only the first group. They had been sent to stop him, test him, wear him down, or delay him, while the real killing force waited farther ahead.
'So this was arranged in advance.'
Max's eyes turned colder.
If the six devils had been the only problem, he would have stayed. Even with a 6th level Divine Lord Realm devil among them, he'd had enough confidence to fight. Once he sensed the angels waiting beyond them, though, the situation changed, and there was no reason to take an unnecessary gamble.
Both the Devil Race and the Angel Race had seen what he could do in the Battle Space. If they were serious about killing him, they wouldn't send only ordinary early Divine Lord Realm geniuses. There could easily be people at the 8th level, or perhaps the 9th, or even the 10th level of the Divine Lord Realm.
Against opponents like that, Max couldn't simply assume that every hidden ability he had would be enough. He was strong, but he wasn't foolish, and his cultivation was still only at the 1st level of the Law Manifestation Realm.
There was nothing to gain from a battle where the enemy had already stacked multiple layers of attackers and where he didn't even know how many people were waiting ahead of him.
Reaching the Ten Shadows Trial mattered far more. Once he was inside the trial grounds, the rules governing that place would make it much harder for anyone to attack him openly.
Max poured more power into Divine King Punishment. The seven-colored lightning around him grew brighter, and his speed rose once more.
'I can settle things with them later.'
For now, he had only one priority, and that was reaching the Ten Shadows Trial before the next group closed in.
