Aurelian Lareth and Selene Vaeloria advanced in their matches, with Aurelian easily defeating Corvin Nightsteel and Selene overcoming Aurelia Flamecrest after a brief struggle. Revona easily bypassed Seraphine Lareth's defenses with her Void Origin Eyes, forcing a swift surrender. Fin Arclight also secured a victory, while Morgana Starveil was set to face Rose Valen in a match that seemed disadvantageous for Rose.

Rose entered the stage with a serious face.

Morgana smiled sweetly. "How unlucky. You seem like someone who likes planning."

Rose did not answer.

The battle began, and Rose immediately spread several rune marks across the stage through subtle movements. She tried to keep distance and use defensive formations to block Morgana's curse threads. For a short time, it worked. Her runes lit up one after another, forming protective layers around her body.

Morgana looked amused.

"Not bad."

Then she raised one hand.

"Stellar Witchcraft, Curse of the Borrowed Mark."

Rose's runes trembled.

Her expression changed.

The protective layers she had placed began twisting, and several rune marks turned purple-black. Rose immediately cut off her connection to them, but Morgana had already closed the distance with curse threads spreading around her fingers.

A purple star appeared behind Rose.

Rose stopped moving.

Morgana's voice was gentle. "If this were a real fight outside the arena, your soul would already be marked."

Rose's expression was bitter, but she still lowered her blade.

"I surrender."

[Winner: Morgana Starveil.]

[Rose Valen Eliminated.]

Max watched Rose disappear from the stage.

She had lost, but she had not performed badly. Against most opponents, her formations and careful thinking could have won. Against Morgana, however, her own preparation had become a weakness. The matchup had been too unfavorable.

Morgana returned to her pillar and glanced toward Max again.

This time, Max finally looked back at her directly.

Morgana's smile paused slightly.

There was no killing intent in Max's gaze, but the calmness in his eyes made her remember the sword that had split her in half near the Witch God Tree. Her smile returned quickly, but it was a little less relaxed than before.

The final few battles of the second main round passed quickly.

A silent swordsman from an unknown force defeated a beast prince in three sword moves, revealing enough skill to draw even Damian's attention. A bloodfire woman from the Blood Sun Temple won after a brutal clash that left half the stage covered in crimson flames. A soul-bell user had already fallen to Max, making the remaining mind-path participants much more cautious whenever they looked at him. Several other participants advanced with difficulty, while others disappeared under beams of elimination light.

At last, the twenty-fifth battle ended.

The giant screen above the arena changed again.

[Second Main Round Completed.]

[Total Participants At Start Of Round: 50]

[Eliminated Participants: 25]

[Remaining Participants: 25]

The dimmed pillars of the eliminated participants sank into the darkness below.

Only twenty-five pillars remained around the central arena.

The space suddenly felt much emptier.

And much more oppressive.

Angelina Valerius looked across the remaining participants with a calm expression.

"Congratulations," she said. "You have entered the final competitive stage of the Cosmic Ascension Conference."

Max looked around and saw the top experts were looking at each other with caution in their eyes.

Along with them, several hidden experts with strange and dangerous methods had also survived. Rose had been eliminated, Seraphine had been eliminated, and many others who had seemed strong were gone.

From this point onward, there would be no more random elimination bracket.

Each of the remaining twenty-five would fight twenty-four battles.

Everyone would face everyone.

Max's gaze swept across the final competitors, and his smile became faint.

Now, there was no need to wonder when he would meet Damian, Rakan, Orion, Kaiden, Ervin, Revona, Rosaline, Aurelian, Selene, Morgana, or anyone else.

He would fight them all.

Angelina raised her hand, and the arena lights became brighter.

"The final competitive stage will begin after a short preparation period."

The twenty-five remaining pillars hummed.

The true battle for the championship was finally about to begin.

The twenty-five remaining pillars shone brighter than before.

After the second main round ended, the arena inside the Eternal Hourglass had become much emptier, yet the pressure in the air had increased many times over. Only twenty-five participants remained, and every one of them had already proven that they were strong enough to survive two direct elimination rounds. The weak were gone. The lucky were gone.

The ones who remained were either monsters standing openly at the peak or hidden blades that had not yet fully revealed themselves.

After the little rest, Angelina Valerius appeared again and stood above the central stage, her silver-white robe fluttering gently as she looked at the twenty-five participants surrounding the arena.

"The final competitive stage will now begin," she said calmly.

The massive screen of light above the arena changed, and the names of all twenty-five remaining participants appeared in a large circle.

[Final Competitive Stage Initiated.]

[Remaining Participants: 25]

[Battle Format: Complete Round-Robin Combat.]

[Each Participant Will Fight Every Other Remaining Participant Once.]

[Total Battles Per Participant: 24.]

[Ranking Method: Total Number Of Wins.]

Angelina's voice continued, clear and dignified.

"In this stage, there will be no random elimination. No participant will be removed after a single loss. Each of you will fight every other participant once, which means each of you will fight twenty-four battles in total."

The expressions of many participants became serious.

A single loss would no longer end everything immediately, but that did not make the round easier. In fact, it made it much harsher. No one could rely on lucky pairings anymore. If someone wanted to become champion, they would have to defeat almost everyone.

Angelina raised one finger.

"After each battle, the battle record of the participant will be updated. Your name, total battles fought, and total wins will be displayed for all to see."

The giant screen above the arena changed again.

[Battle Record Format:]

[Participant Name]

[Total Battles Fought:]

[Total Wins:]

Angelina continued, "If two or more participants have the same number of wins after all scheduled battles are completed, tiebreaker battles will be conducted between them. If a participant surrenders, the surrender will count as a loss. If a participant is judged unable to continue, the battle will end immediately. If a participant refuses to stop after the arena has declared the result, that participant will be punished by the laws of the Eternal Hourglass."

The central stage hummed as if confirming her words.

"No outside interference will be allowed. No one may leave their pillar unless called to battle. Recovery time will be granted according to the order of battles, but in the final competitive stage, endurance is also part of strength."

Her gaze swept across Damian Voss, Rakan Thorne, Orion Starfall, Kaiden Voidmere, Ervin, Revona, Rosaline, Aurelian Lareth, Selene Vaeloria, Morgana Starveil, Max, and the other remaining participants.

"Now, the first battle of the final competitive stage will begin."

The screen of light above the arena flickered.

Two names appeared.
