Fisher arrives in Chittel City for his mentor Helson's funeral, finding the city packed with mourners and security. He tests his new undetectable blessing, which allows him to move unseen and even take objects without notice. Fisher heads to the funeral venue, a church on the outskirts, expecting to confront Elizabeth's security measures.

But Fisher didn’t mean that, instead, he explained to Elizabeth,

"Elizabeth’s patience is limited; she couldn’t endure even twenty minutes when we were fleeing. Now it’s been four and a half years, even the best patience would have worn thin. Moreover, Valentina had previously communicated with her through letters. Luckily, she doesn’t know I went to the South Continent first to see Rafael and Moli, otherwise, it would really be troublesome."

"...I don’t know why, but every time you say ’luckily,’ I get a chill."

"Are you saying she might know I went to the South Continent first?"

"...Or maybe I’m just imagining things."

Fisher stopped speaking and simply walked past the church limits towards Helson’s residence, which was originally a relic of a Middle Ages Magic Tower, nine stories tall. It was assigned to him when he worked here as a young man.

After passing beyond the Magic Tower, entering the walls of the Golden Palace’s guards, he looked at the tightly closed, suddenly somewhat bleak Magic Tower before him, and Fisher felt a mix of complex emotions.

He remembered when he was studying at the Royal College, he and Elizabeth had followed Helson back during the summer holiday to retrieve some notes he had stored here in his youth. At that time, only a few servants were responsible for maintaining the Magic Tower’s cleanliness, and his granddaughter Vileli was traveling outside, so they had never met.

Even so, the ease and vitality of this place back then were incomparable to its current state. It felt as though with the departure of that mage, the Magic Tower, inherited from the Middle Ages, had returned to being a "relic," in all its lifelessness.

Fisher didn’t walk through the main gate, but rather looked up at the nine-story tall tower that he hadn’t seen in a long time, maintaining a heavy silence.

"Drive! Drive!"

"Make way on orders!"

Just at that moment, Fisher heard a series of urgent commands behind him. He quickly turned his head and saw the guards of the Golden Palace making way, as a common wooden horse-drawn carriage drove to the Magic Tower. A young Schwali man stepped down from it, first alighting before offering his hand gently to the carriage behind,

"My dear, come on."

"Hmm."

A delicate hand was extended from the carriage, and a pale-faced Nali woman, visibly pregnant, slowly emerged.

She was wearing a black veil, typical of Nali mourning attire, the kind only worn by close relatives. Thus, it became clear: she was Mr. Helson’s only granddaughter, Ms. Vileli Laczette, and the Schwali gentleman was presumably her husband.

Neither noticed the unfamiliar Fisher, and after helping his wife down, the Schwali gentleman immediately shouted loudly in the direction of the Magic Tower,

"Sulena, come out quickly and help Vileli inside, tell the others there’s an important matter soon!"

"Coming!"

It was then that the Magic Tower’s door opened and a flustered middle-aged woman, holding a broom, came out hurriedly,

"Oh dear, Mr. Chic, didn’t you go to the city hospital for a check-up, why did you return so early? How is the young lady’s health? Is she any better?"

"She’s much better now, the doctor prescribed some fetus-preserving medicine, and I also inscribed some Snooze Magic, she’s okay, quickly help Vileli back, there are things to be busy with soon..."

"Alright, alright..."

Silently, Fisher stood in the background, watching all of this unfold without stepping forward, unsure when the Blessing on him would be lifted. Instead, he took advantage of the open door and directly entered the Magic Tower. There was no body on the first floor, so it should be on the top floor, where Mr. Helson’s office and residence were.

He didn’t use the Gravity Magic on the first floor, just ascended the spiraling staircase step by step. By the time he reached the top, his commoner’s body was noticeably out of breath, but he soon arrived at the top floor.

Opening the door to Helson’s office, it was slightly more chaotic than before. Bookshelves lined the walls, supporting an extremely spacious room. On the red carpet, a rectangular crystal coffin lay in the center, awaiting someone to take it away tomorrow to its final resting place at the church.

The reflection off the crystal coffin prevented Fisher from seeing its interior clearly. At this moment, he almost hoped that inside was empty, a trap set up by Elizabeth to capture him.

But below, the recent sorrow from Vileli and the city’s silence offered no confirmation to his imagination...

He took a deep breath, amidst the silence, and slowly walked toward the crystal coffin. Soon, the sight of an elderly man, clad in the Magic Association’s black Magic Robe, hair and beard entirely white, face wrinkled, appeared before Fisher, peaceful in eternal sleep.

The crystal coffin was filled with flowers, and in his arms lay his life’s masterpiece, "Magic Theory Complete Explanation." It wasn’t until now that Fisher realized this book had been completed and published.

That deep breath Fisher took earlier was held, still unwilling to exhale. He simply stood quietly, gazing at Helson within the coffin, as if only after a long time did he finally accept the reality of his passing.
