Barbatos and Elliog engage in a fierce battle, each driven by their desire to protect those they care about and to end their long-standing enmity. Meanwhile, far away in the Dragon Court's Flower Garden, Yaril and the others witness the terrifying power unleashed by the conflict, as a massive energy blast creates a colossal tsunami.

"Yes, Lady Yaril, I’ll escort you first..."

"No, take the children and go, I can walk on my own! Hurry, move!"

But the battle on the other side of the mountain range continued, with violent earthquakes occurring repeatedly. Even with Yaril’s command, the entire situation became unusually chaotic.

With Yaril’s orders, everyone’s sole objective was to leave quickly. As for the children, apart from those already in their arms at the start, many were forgotten in the rush to flee.

Yaril was leading the children, sending them to the guards, and then going back again to see if there were any left behind.

"Boom!"

"Is there anyone still inside? Children, hurry up and leave, a tsunami is coming!"

The Flower Garden gradually quieted down, but Yaril continued to call out, fearing that some little unfortunate hadn’t come out in time. The lack of response helped ease a bit of her tension. Just as she was about to turn and leave, a call suddenly came from the Dragon Court’s shrine,

"Lady Yaril, I’m still here..."

Yaril was momentarily stunned and turned to look in the direction of the shrine, where she saw a human woman clad in Dragon Court attire waving cheerfully at her in front of a wall full of candles...

That is...

Oh, right, it’s the human that Rafael sent over earlier, saying she was some... journalist or something, called Ingrid?

"You... why aren’t you leaving yet? What are you still doing here? The tsunami is almost here, hurry, leave with me!"

Yaril hurriedly walked toward Ingrid, reaching out to pull her, but she was shocked to discover that this human was as immovable as if weighing a thousand tons; Yaril, as a Dragon-man Species, couldn’t move her at all...

"You... exactly..."

Yaril only then realized in her chaotic state, quickly letting go of her hand.

Since arriving here earlier, this human only spoke her native language from a human kingdom, so how was she now suddenly speaking Dragon Court Language?

"Don’t be afraid, Lady Yaril, I’ve come here to discuss something with you..."

"With me... about what... but now, with a tsunami on the way, we should escape quickly. Can’t we talk about it later?"

Ingrid smiled while supporting her chin, and with a brief flicker in her blue-gold eyes, the distant, roaring tsunami instantly flew backward uncontrollably, disappearing without a trace.

"You..."

"Lady Yaril, I wanted to say, your daughter, Rafael, may soon die."

Yaril turned her head incredulously, watching as Ingrid waved her hand and calmly went to pour tea at the side, even serving a cup for Yaril before pointing to a nearby seat, saying,

"Please have a seat, Lady Yaril."

Ingrid’s demeanor, as if the place belonged to her, left Yaril struggling to associate this suddenly composed woman with the previously silent human woman from half a month ago.

But whether it was the vanished tsunami beside them or the news from Ingrid’s mouth, Yaril couldn’t easily walk away. After a moment of silence, she sat at the table, asking the tea-sipping woman before her,

"Ingrid, what do you mean by saying Rafael is about to die?"

"Have some tea first, Lady Yaril."

At a moment like this, who could...

This was Yaril’s thought, but when she lowered her glance to the teacup before her, a dreamlike picture appeared on the water’s surface.

In the vision was the northern end of the Southern Branch Mountain Range, where cyclones swirled around a portal leading to a mysterious space.

After settling the unconscious Lar An, Rafael remained worried, looking wistfully towards the distant portal, seemingly concerned about someone inside.

"This... this is..."

"Lady Yaril, perhaps since childhood, you’ve known Rafael was special?"

Ingrid set down her teacup and began recounting the memories buried deep within Yaril’s mind,

"One day, Rafael, unable to sleep, came to your and your husband’s bedroom, saying she had a nightmare... in it, she was pursued by many black mud-like things that seemed intent on swallowing her. She was so frightened, she came looking for you..."

Yaril was momentarily dazed but quickly recalled these memories, murmuring,

"Yes... yes, it’s true. And not only that... she could always remember things we never told her. Those ancient Dragon Court manuscripts, those magical spells, and she always wanted to go somewhere beyond the tribe’s reach. We kept stopping her, so before she became an adult, she snuck out..."

"How did you explain it to her at that time?"

"We simply said her soul was special, but in reality... such a legend has been passed down in our tribe for ages that she might be some significant figure’s reincarnation..."

Ingrid smiled softly, then said,

"Reincarnation might not be the right term. It’s just that Rafael has something very precious, something the Fermat Baha Dragon God protected with his life, but it became altered after being tainted by Chaos..."

"What... do you mean?"

Ingrid grinned at Yaril, her eyes filled with a radiant, mysterious glow,

"It means your daughter is the true target of those terrifying enemies. Fisher knew this all along, which is why he fought the enemies to the death. But they are too strong; he wasn’t their match... nonetheless, he, being a complete fool, was willing to die for your daughter."

The images within the tea before Yaril transformed once again, displaying the scene of Fisher being impaled in the chest, battling desperately against a horrifying being, causing Yaril’s eyes to redden.

She indeed had a sense of compromise when agreeing to Rafael and Fisher’s matter back then, but she couldn’t fathom that the human would go to such lengths for Rafael’s sake.

"Alright, Aunt Yaril, let’s have a little test of Dragon-man culture knowledge..."

Ingrid smiled, raising one finger, and said,

"Question: If a Dragon-man’s tail-matching partner was in a life-or-death crisis, what would the Dragon-man do? First choice, leave him without a thought..."

"Rafael would save Fisher!"

Without thinking, Yaril asserted, causing Ingrid to nod knowingly, taking another sip of tea while continuing,

"Correct, Dragon-men are always crazed by love. Even when warned, she couldn’t ignore Fisher, leaving him to face death alone. But, Lady Yaril, answering this question comes with a corresponding reward... What if I told you I could prevent her death?"

"You..."

The flames before Yaril flickered incessantly, as if the ancestral spirits of Rafael were pleading to save the foolishly love-struck Dragon-man.

Yaril, after a moment of silence, knelt on the ground with a thud and bowed her head to Ingrid, pleading,

"You are not just an ordinary human, but... no matter where you come from or what your motives, I beg you... save my daughter... If any price must be paid, I... I’m willing to offer anything. Whatever you want is yours, as long as you save her... I can’t lose her again..."

Ingrid smiled faintly, extending her hand towards her, speaking softly,

"Alright, but I don’t want anything, just your horn to save your daughter’s life..."

"Just like that..."

Yaril was slightly taken aback, her eyes showing gratitude followed by confusion,

"Thank you... but... I don’t understand... why would you help us like this... I..."

"... just preparing an extra option."

"... What?"

Ingrid stood up, smiling as she placed her hand on Yaril’s head, not answering her questions, only speaking gently,

"Alright, after this, your memory will become slightly blurry. It’s a necessary side effect, so take a good rest..."

Within the Flower Garden, as a dawn-like brightness flashed, there was no more conversation.

The violent battle in the Southern Branch Mountain Range continued, with endless earthquake sounds shaking the candles surrounding the unconscious Yaril, lying with her spirit and Dragon Horn on the ground, bearing witness to the unfolding myth.
