Fisher released two demon servants he had defeated into the sea, then woke up Sir Emhardt. Emhardt, still shaken from his encounter with Helair, warned Fisher not to trust her words, believing she intended to devour him. Fisher, however, pondered Helair's true motives, finding her explanation for helping Gui logical but sensing she was hiding something.

An additional complication arose: at that precise moment, he was absolutely convinced Fisher hadn't activated Renie’s mark on himself. Instead, it was Helair’s doing, intended to send him back to the present, but a temporal anomaly had occurred.

Fisher remained unaware of the exact nature of Renie’s mark. He himself hypothesized that its power might have been altered when he employed it on the Tree Continent to intimidate Master Tao. This alteration, he suspected, was what caused his unexpected return four and a half years into the past.

Yet, was it truly such a mere coincidence?

His return precisely four and a half years later, coinciding with the rampant demon activity within the Nali Army and happening adjacent to the Nali factory producing Cardinals… it begged the question.

Even with Gui’s support, how could Helair possibly have activated Renie’s chaotic mark, a mark imbued with the power of a True God?

One plausible explanation certainly existed: Gui, in their relentless pursuit of understanding the Doomsday Prophecy and discovering a method to avert it, might have already established contact with the very essence of chaos.

After all, Helair had mentioned that Gui had imparted knowledge regarding the nature of chaos to her. Perhaps it was this very knowledge that enabled her to activate the mark situated on his kidneys…

But what, then, was the role of the Mother Goddess during that critical juncture?

The Moon, an avatar of the Mother Goddess, came into being just as he departed. Could the emergence of this so-called "Tombstone Inscription Writer," signaling the potential end of the Doomsday Prophecy, be connected to Gui or Helair?

The more he pondered these questions, the more Fisher’s head began to ache.

He found himself lacking crucial information; the reason remained elusive, but he constantly felt an immeasurable void, an information chasm stretching before Helair, a gap that seemed impossible to bridge.

Perhaps the key to uncovering the truth lay with "Renie." As the successor to the Mother Goddess and possessing True God-level power, she might hold the secrets behind these bewildering events. However, ever since the lullaby used for communication vanished from his wallet, he had no clue as to her whereabouts or how to reach her.

She could still be awaiting his return in the Storm Sea, or perhaps she had already retreated to the Spirit Realm; regardless of her location...

Concurrently, even if Helair had withheld certain truths from him, her discernible actions and ultimate objectives were clear and undeniable.

Through some unknown means, she had unleashed two Demon Species, directly targeting Rafael.

As to why these two Eighteenth-Rank demons did not directly eliminate Rafael, who was merely a Fourteenth-Rank, Fisher surmised the reason was a matter of "timing."

As Helair herself had alluded, she was patiently waiting for the opportune moment to officially initiate the "Doomsday Prophecy." At that designated time, she intended to eliminate this "Key" and depart alongside him.

Regardless of when the Doomsday Prophecy was set to unfold, Fisher recognized that Rafael’s survival was paramount; this was a responsibility he had to uphold.

Furthermore, Fisher harbored a deep curiosity regarding the identity of the "escaped fish" whom Helair had mentioned.

This was the first instance he had witnessed such intense animosity from her, usually so cheerful and unburdened. It seemed his current predicament was somehow connected to this mysterious escaped individual. Of course, driven by his curiosity, he intended to seek her out once this immediate crisis was resolved.

Since the overarching objective was now clearly defined, then...

Fisher chose to pacify Emhardt, who had become increasingly agitated following each confrontation with Paimon, and even more so when facing the demon again. He allowed the young man to rest and recover, opting not to engage in further conflict.

Stepping back from the enigmatic aura surrounding Helair, Fisher’s gaze fell upon the lingering traces of flesh and blood left by the two departing Demon Servants within the shipyard. This grim sight sparked a sudden recollection.

"Agares…"

Observing this familiar energy signature, Fisher’s resolve shifted abruptly.

Tonight, he decided, he would commence his studies with Erwin’s Life Completion Manual.

He harbored a persistent feeling that something significant had transpired between Erwin and the Demons in the past. Perhaps within that history, he could uncover the vital key needed to effectively combat them?

Donning the concealing cloak of the Praying Tower, Fisher departed, his form rapidly dissolving into the distance along the path leading away from the shipyard.

...

...

The sky gradually surrendered to the encroaching darkness. Just as Rafael had indicated earlier, in response to the southward advance of the Green Dragon Court and the Nali Human Alliance, the entirety of the Red Dragon Court mobilized at an accelerated pace.

Upon returning to the Praying Tower, Fisher found neither Rafael nor Moli present. Instead, he was greeted by Mier, the Dragon-man Species who, much like a sorrowful wife, conveyed news of Rafael and Moli’s current locations.

"Lord Rafael is currently inspecting military equipment within the camp. Reports indicate drills and reviews are scheduled for the morning. Lady Moli is overseeing the supplies and coordinating post-war duties and allocations… In essence, Fisher, please make do for now. Lord Rafael requested that I attend to you temporarily."

"Understood, thank you. Please convey to them that the demon matter has been satisfactorily resolved. And also…"

Fisher instructed Mier to notify Rafael and the others regarding the two Demon Servants and the silver soiree, which was set up with Agares’s endorsement, to manage the fallout effectively.

The absence of Rafael and Moli did not bother Fisher in the slightest; it was certainly not due to his recent "encounter" with Helair. The primary justification was his intention to delve into the Completion Manual, anticipating potential occurrences that would ideally unfold without interruption.

After a modest supper, Fisher returned to the room, carrying the still-shaken Emhardt, who persisted in rambling about the perils posed by Paimon.

"I've been pondering all afternoon, do you believe there's a chance, I mean, could it be that Paimon seeks the forbidden knowledge residing within you?"

Fisher regarded him, contemplating the inquiry, and responded.
