Talons from the Court of Owls attacked Clark's parents at the church, forcing Magneto to intervene. Clark, Diana, and Magneto battled a new, powerful Sentinel robot that seemed to incorporate a symbiotic battle armor and the Extremis Virus. Reinforcements arrived, including the Brotherhood of Mutants, Justice League members, and Scarlet Witch, but the Sentinel's abilities countered many of them. The situation escalated with the arrival of Jarvis and a confused Iron Man.

Iron Man was completely stunned. Others might not recognize it, but he definitely could. This silver giant was his Symbiotic Battle Armor, unique and unmistakable. But the problem was, after his Symbiotic Battle Armor broke, he destroyed it. How could it appear here?!

Actually, things in Iron Man’s arsenal were often stolen, or he himself was controlled, leading to the creation of some world-shaking weapon. So, upon discovering the Symbiotic Battle Armor was broken, he didn’t choose to store it but directly destroyed it, fearing that one day it would be stolen and used against him.

White Can knew best how strong the Symbiotic Battle Armor was. Not only could it perform mind control, but it also had strong adaptability, not needing much adjustment, with a much higher baseline compared to ordinary armor. Because he was worried his opponents might use it against him, he deliberately gave up the chance to repair it, forcing himself to wear traditional metal armor instead. Unexpectedly, it was still stolen.

Iron Man took a deep breath and carefully recalled the process of destroying the armor, thinking there was no issue. He dared to destroy the armor because he kept a symbiont sample, extracted from Venom’s body, and he could create a new one given time. Could the sample have been stolen?

The more Iron Man thought about it, the more possible it seemed. He also knew he wasn’t the only one with a symbiont sample; the Osborn Group had one too. Although it might not be the same as his, as long as they obtained part of the technology, it could be created.

"It wasn’t me!" Iron Man quickly shifted the blame, "My Symbiotic Battle Armor was broken long ago. Who knows where this thing came from..."

"Don’t worry about the armor right now," Diana said. "See if he was injected with the Extremis Virus."

Iron Man was even more shocked: "Extremis Virus?!"

He focused and observed carefully. At this moment, Sentinel Robots were battling fiercely with mutants. The main force of mutants had shifted from Magneto and Mutant Brotherhood members to Wanda and Aisha, but Wanda’s power of Scarlet was restrained by the Sentinel Robots, momentarily putting her at a disadvantage.

Aisha’s attacks were somewhat effective; the Sentinels couldn’t counter Parallax. But since these things were robots, they weren’t affected by the fear brought by the Yellow Lantern Beast. Aisha’s presence disrupted Green Lantern, leading to only a few injuries from surprise attacks.

Aisha bit hard, and the silver armor immediately cracked open, not only turning liquid to let the wound gradually heal but also exposing the biological-mechanical bone structure inside, which was healing rapidly.

Iron Man’s expression gradually changed. Gritting his teeth, he said, "It’s indeed the Extremis Virus, and it’s the original strain."

Diana squinted her eyes: "Where did it come from?"

"The kind Pepper was injected with," Iron Man said. "But she would never leak the Extremis Virus. I trust her."

Diana furrowed her brow deeply. She also didn’t believe Pepper would leak the original strain of the Extremis Virus; it wouldn’t benefit them at all. But if the version inside Pepper and the version inside the Sentinel Robots were the same, then it could only be leaked from her.

"The blood," Iron Man said. "They probably got Pepper’s blood... there was a problem with the team of assassins that attacked her before."

Diana also thought of this. That team of assassins likely wasn’t entirely sent by Luther. Perhaps there were people from the Court of Owls stirring trouble, not only obtaining blood through the attack but also framing Luther, achieving two goals at once.

"What do we do now?" Diana asked.

"The key is still the Sentinel Robots," Iron Man was also pondering hard. "If it weren’t for the Sentinels’ restraint on the mutants, then even the Symbiotic Battle Armor plus the Extremis Virus couldn’t defeat Omega-level mutants."

"This is still your problem," Diana said. "You’re Iron Man, and you come from the same universe as the mutants. Don’t you know why Sentinel Robots restrain mutants?"

Iron Man opened his mouth but didn’t know how to answer immediately. He thought for a few seconds, then said: "Sentinel Robots just restrain mutants, no reason. Ever since they appeared... wait, why do they restrain mutants?"

"Have you never wondered about this before?" Diana couldn’t help but ask, "You’re supposed to be Iron Man, the one who knows these robots best. By appearance and structure, they don’t seem to naturally restrain such strong entities, do they? Haven’t you researched it?"

Iron Man pondered. Despite being in the field of biotech, the Sentinel Robots weren’t purely robotic. Clearly, there’s biological technology in them, even with a larger share of biotech compared to pure mechanical engineering.

Then the question arises: what kind of biotech can specifically target mutants? If Iron Man were to design it, he would likely target the X Gene. Every mutant has it, and suppressing this gene would easily make mutants lose their abilities and become defenseless.

But thinking this far, there’s no solution. Weapons targeting genes exist but using them against mutants is too difficult. They’re too powerful, some just shout "no more XXX" from a distance to incapacitate you. What kind of biotech can be immune to word spirit?

As Iron Man was contemplating, Scarlet Witch shouted sharply from the side: "I say, this damn robot will immediately be scrapped!"

The red light on the horizon grew denser, the entire sky seemed to be on fire, and an invisible fluctuation spread through the air, indicating that some things were in a clash. The Sentinel Robot’s movements paused slightly, its interior was being corroded, yet very slowly, and after a while, it even stopped, soon acting as usual.

Wanda’s expression changed; even the word spirit was ineffective. Who exactly created this thing? What principle made her attacks immune?

No one present knew the answer, not even Iron Man could figure it out. Its interior was like a black box; as long as it remained unopened, anything could happen. An Eternal Temple might have been constructed inside.

Wanda instinctively glanced at Magneto, who was clutching his waist and abdomen, fingertips soaked with blood. He mouthed to Wanda, "Go."

Of course, Wanda wouldn’t leave; she wasn’t one to flee from a fight. No matter how powerful the opponent was, they must have a weakness. She halted her actions and observed carefully, striving to find a flaw in the Sentinel Robot’s movement.

As Wanda stopped, the Sentinel Robot resumed its offensive, but just at that moment, Peter Parker arrived. He flashed to the center of the scene, the violently spreading magic fluctuation resembling a hurricane, lifting everyone’s hair and clothing edges.

He slowly extended one hand and clenched it, a magical shield unfolded, firmly protecting the mutants behind him. Brotherhood members were all injured, with Wanda being the only one unharmed, her expression grave.

Peter extended his hand again, a magic energy belt appeared between him and the Sentinel Robot. Magic energy enveloped the Sentinel entirely, and with a lift of his hand, the Robot was powerless to resist and floated into the air, struggling.

Faced with the evil Sentinel Robot, flaunting its strength against mutants, it was utterly powerless under the magic energy. Peter clenched his fist once more, magic energy compressed inward, causing sparks to burst from the robot.

Everyone retreated, and just as Peter crushed the Sentinel Robot, Wanda shouted, "No! Wait!"

Unfortunately, the massive Robot still turned into fireworks, dissipating within the magic energy. With the extremely restraining Sentinel Robot gone, the Mutant Brotherhood rallied, and Talons that infiltrated the church became the best punching bags, quickly being eliminated.

Wanda’s expression remained somber, and without her usual gentle smile, she looked much like those Scarlet Witches who nearly destroyed the world. But she swiftly emerged from this state, instinctively stepping forward to support Magneto.

This nearly scared Magneto out of his wits; his relationship with Wanda could be described as ’father’s reprimand, daughter’s cry.’ Even aside from that, having lived for most of his life, those who’ve dared to have physical contact with him could be counted on one hand, it seemed Wanda had gone mad.

Magneto nearly instinctively dodged, standing up from the ground himself. Wanda felt no embarrassment; she was somewhat distracted, standing there appearing to be pondering something. The Rebirth Alliance began to clean up the battlefield, and only then did she glance at Magneto and ask, "When did it happen?"

"What?" Magneto was receiving treatment from a mutant in the Brotherhood with healing abilities.

"The Robot," Wanda said, "When did it appear?"

"Just now, I killed a Talon from the Court of Owls; it jumped in from outside the church..."

"I’m not talking about this one." Wanda stepped forward. "When did these Robots first appear?"

Magneto was slightly stunned, examining Wanda with an inquiring gaze, "You don’t have Sentinel Robots in your universe?"

"I’m from the Central Universe," Wanda confessed. "In our universe, mutants have long since migrated to other star systems; even if they exist, I haven’t seen them."

"Impossible," Magneto said. "No matter where mutants go, whether it’s the Moon, other planets within the Solar System, or even the Shi’ar Empire, Sentinel Robots will follow like shadows, continuously slaughtering mutants."

Wanda stood in place thinking, which answered the question that had always puzzled her: why mutants in other universes didn’t move to alien planets.

In her view, with a presence like Magneto, it was too easy to move to alien planets. The cosmos is so vast, and the Three Great Empires couldn’t possibly control it all. Worse comes to worst, just find a remote and wild star system and start anew; it’s far better than being oppressed on Earth. Such a simple question, who wouldn’t think of it?

Yet, the two leaders of mutants behaved as if they’d lost their minds, insisting on competing with ordinary humans on Earth. Even when occasionally traveling far, they’d never consider building their home on an alien planet but rather always return to Earth to conflict, it’s truly strange.

But if such weapons, capable of generating immense restraint against them, were continuously slaughtering them, then all of this can be explained — leaving Earth would only leave them stuck in an even more isolated and helpless situation. It’s not that they don’t want to leave, but that they can’t.
