Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 894: The Bittersweet Farewell to Lan Yue

Su Qinglan immediately hurried back toward her house.
The matter concerning Rao and the other sub-beastmen could wait. She would think about how to arrange everything later. Right now, she had something much more important to do.
Her younger sister was leaving for the East Sea!
Just thinking about it made Su Qinglan feel both excited and sad.
After all, she had finally been reunited with Lan Yue, and the two sisters had spent so much time together recently. Now, they are going to be separated again. Given the distance between Dragon Beast City and the East Sea, they might not see each other for another year or perhaps even longer.
Su Qinglan looked up at the sky as she hurried along the road.
It was almost noon already!
"Hopefully, the food I’ve prepared will be enough for Yue Yue’s journey," she muttered anxiously.
The journey back to the East Sea was long. Even if everything went smoothly, it would take nearly a month to reach their destination. She had prepared plenty of dried meat, cooked food, and other provisions for her younger sister, but she still couldn’t help worrying.
What if they ran out of food halfway through the journey?
What if Lan Yue wanted something delicious and couldn’t find it?
The more Su Qinglan thought about it, the more she felt that she should have prepared even more.
However, she quickly shook her head.
No, she couldn’t keep thinking like this. She had already prepared a lot, and if she packed too much, carrying everything would become a burden.
When she finally arrived home, she discovered that her husbands had already taken care of almost everything.
The baskets were lined up neatly in the courtyard, and all the food she had prepared had been divided into smaller portions. The heavier items had been packed carefully, while the lighter baskets were arranged so they could be carried without too much trouble.
Su Qinglan stopped at the entrance.
"How did you finish everything so quickly?"
Han Jue turned around with a smile. "You told us you wanted to send Lan Yue off today. Of course, we had to prepare everything before you returned."
Han Jue pointed toward the baskets. "We didn’t pack too much. There should be enough food for the journey, but it won’t be too difficult to carry."
Shi Feng nodded. "We also separated the dried meat from the cooked food so that it would be easier to take out whatever they need."
Rong Ye, who was crouching beside one of the baskets, raised his head proudly. "And I personally inspected the delicious things. Nothing was missing!"
Su Qinglan looked at him suspiciously. "You inspected them?"
"Of course!"
"Did you eat anything during your inspection?"
Rong Ye immediately stood up. "Lanlan, how could you doubt me? Am I the kind of person who would secretly eat the food prepared for my younger sister-in-law?"
Everyone turned to look at him. Rong Ye’s smile slowly stiffened. "Why are you all looking at me like that?"
Xuan Long calmly replied, "Because you are exactly that kind of person."
Rong Ye was speechless. "Xuan Long! Can you stop exposing me every time I speak?"
Su Qinglan couldn’t help laughing.
Looking at the neatly arranged baskets and her husbands’ thoughtful preparations, her heart warmed. She had been worrying about everything on the way home, yet they had already taken care of it for her.
She really was lucky to have them. Su Qinglan stepped forward and kissed Han Jue on the cheek.
"Thank you!"
Han Jue’s eyes immediately brightened. Before he could say anything, she turned and kissed Shi Feng, Rong Ye, and Xuan Long in succession. An Mo wasn’t there because he had gone back to the upper domain.
"There! Everyone gets one!"
Rong Ye immediately touched his cheek with a satisfied expression.
"Lanlan, I think one kiss is a little too little for all the hard work I did."
Su Qinglan raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Then should I take back the one I gave you?"
Rong Ye instantly covered his cheek with both hands. "No! Absolutely not! One is perfect!"
The courtyard erupted in laughter. Even Xuan Long’s lips curved slightly as he watched Su Qinglan fuss over the baskets.
Once everything was ready, they locked the house and began walking toward Lan Yue’s residence.
The cubs followed behind them, their little legs moving quickly as they trotted along the road.
Usually, they would be the first to run ahead whenever they went outside. Today, however, even the most energetic cubs seemed unusually quiet.
Their aunt Lan Yue was leaving. And once she left, they wouldn’t be able to play with her whenever they wanted. Ciao Ciao dragged his nine fluffy tails behind him, his ears drooping slightly.
"Mother, when will Aunt Lan Yue come back?"
Su Qinglan looked down at him. "I don’t know, sweetheart. It might take a long time."
Ciao Ciao’s ears drooped even further. "Then who will play with us?"
Mao Mao, the little lion cub, immediately raised his head. "We can play with each other!"
"But it won’t be the same," Ciao Ciao muttered.
Xiao Er nodded seriously. "That’s right. Aunt Lan Yue plays with us differently."
Xiao Yi, who was walking at the front, glanced back at his younger siblings. "Don’t be sad. We can visit her in the future."
"Really?" several cubs asked at once.
Xiao Yi nodded, although he knew that making such a trip would not be easy. "Of course. If we grow strong enough and have the chance, we can go to the East Sea."
At the mention of the sea, several pairs of eyes immediately brightened.
"The sea!" Mao Mao exclaimed. "I want to see the giant crabs!"
Ciao Ciao’s ears perked up. "And I want to see the pearls!"
Xiao Er licked his lips. "I want to eat the delicious fish!"
Su Qinglan listened to their conversation and couldn’t help smiling. These little fellows had been sad just a moment ago, but the moment food and the sea were mentioned, their spirits immediately returned.
Children really were easy to cheer up.
