Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 875: The Haunted Dream

Teng Yunxiao’s expression sank into complete, dangerous shadow.
Who could be so vile and shameless as to use such underhanded tactics against me?!
They had actually targeted his very beast core! To any beastman, their beast core was their ultimate lifeline and the sole source of their power.
If someone went to such extreme lengths to rip it out, were they purely after his ancient power, or was there something more sinister at play?
And if they had already gotten what they wanted, why go through the trouble of locking him away to suffer in total darkness for eternity? W
as it was because they couldn’t fully absorb his core, so they decided to imprison him in this barren Lower Domain where almost no one from the Upper Domain would ever step foot?
A chilling realisation washed over Teng Yunxiao. He had heard earlier that even his own son, Xuan Long, had been abandoned in this same domain as a newborn.
Because of that abandonment, his son had wandered this lower realm for nearly a million years... and because his son was here, An Mo had eventually travelled down to find him.
If it weren’t for the bizarre coincidence that his son had also been left in this exact domain, no one from the Upper Domain would have ever crossed the realm barrier to come here!
There were countless lower domains scattered across the universe, and Upper Domain cultivators rarely ever paid them any mind.
If not for my son and granddaughter... I would have been locked inside that mountain forever!
A bone-chilling shiver ran straight down Teng Yunxiao’s spine. Just who possessed such a terrifying, cruel heart to do something so heinous to him?
Before the heavy silence could consume the room, a tiny, energetic figure scrambled up the edge of the bed.
Little Xiao San immediately climbed straight onto Teng Yunxiao’s lap! He wiggled around until he found a perfectly comfortable position right on his grandfather’s thigh.
Looking up with big, sparkling eyes, Xiao San puffed out his chest proudly. "Grandfather! I am your biggest, cutest grandson!"
Xiao San then reached up with his tiny hands, gently stroking the small horns budding on his own head. He looked at Teng Yunxiao with pure idolisation.
"Grandfather, can you teach me how to grow my horns as big and magnificent as yours?"
Teng Yunxiao was completely stunned. He looked down at the plump, cherry-cheeked little cub sitting on his lap, and all the dark, heavy clouds in his heart instantly vanished into thin air.
Teng Yunxiao couldn’t help himself...he burst out into a loud, warm, heart-filled laugh, wrapping his arm around his sweet little grandson.
Of course, he would teach him anything for his adorable grandson.

The entire room was dark.
There was no light at all. The only glowing thing in that absolute darkness was a pair of deep emerald-green eyes.
Those eyes were clouded with desire. But the most prominent look inside them was actually hate, disappointment, and anger...all directed toward the female who was sitting on top of him.
The man suddenly gritted his teeth, as if he desperately wanted to push her away. But his entire body had completely lost its strength. He could do nothing except stare up at her with pure disappointment in his gaze before saying through gritted teeth:
"Liang Rou..."
Liang Rou suddenly woke up from the dream as that dark, hoarse voice resounded inside her mind.
She sat there stunned, her body covered in sweat. She immediately reached up and wiped the cold sweat from her face, looking around her room.
She realized she was still in her own bedroom, located deep inside the Deep Abyss.
Then why was she dreaming about him? And most importantly, why was she dreaming about that exact time?
After all, she had always loathed that moment. Even if it was the event that had bound the two of them together, it was also the exact reason she had lost everything.
She would rather never remember it again. It was like a dark past that she desperately wanted to bury forever.
Yet for so many days now, she had been waking up with the exact same nightmare.
She was afraid, lost, and fearful of what was actually happening to her. In her repeating dreams, it felt as if her teacher would suddenly appear right in front of her, making her stumble before asking the same question over and over again: why did she do that to him? Why did she betray him?
And she could not answer a single thing. She was completely lost.
Liang Rou immediately shook off her sleepiness and got out of bed to get some fresh air. She felt so suffocated inside the room.
But just as she stepped out of her bedroom, she immediately collided with Cang Ling, who was coming inside.
He looked at her and asked, "What happened?"
She quickly said, "Nothing."
Before she could walk past him, Cang Ling immediately grabbed her wrist, stopping her from going any further.
He looked at her pale face and asked, "Did you dream of Teacher again?"
Liang Rou was stunned. She did not answer.
Seeing her silence, Cang Ling’s expression fell completely into a dark shadow.
He stared at her pale, frantic face, his voice laced with a heavy, serious tone. "Liang Rou, stop hiding everything from me! I am your mate, not a stranger! I cannot stand by and watch you look so worried and sick like this every single day!"
Hearing his words, Liang Rou completely lost her mind.
All the pent-up fear, guilt, and suffocating pressure inside her exploded at once. She frantically stepped forward, slamming both of her hands directly onto Cang Ling’s broad chest, shoving him back with all her strength!
"Do you want to know so badly, Cang Ling, just so you can laugh at me?!" she screamed hysterically.
Her voice echoed wildly down the cold stone corridors of the Deep Abyss.
"YES!" she shrieked, letting out a sharp, breathless laugh that sounded utterly unhinged. "YES! I am dreaming about Teacher! I am dreaming about what I did to him that night! Now are you satisfied?!"
