Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 849: How to Tame a Lion

Lin Muyu grabbed him forcefully by the collar, pulling his face mere inches from her glare. Her voice dropped to a deadly tone. "You really have a death wish, don’t you, brat? You love peeping so much?!"
"No! I was just walking to the river! I didn’t mean to..."
CLENCH!
Before Manis could finish his frantic defense, Lin Muyu’s fist flew forward.
BAM!
A clean, solid punch connected straight with Manis’s eye!
"AAARGH! MY EYE!" Manis shrieked, clutching his face in utter agony.
"YOU CRAZY FEMALE! YOU ACTUALLY HIT A MALE?!"
"I’LL DO MORE THAN HIT YOU IF YOU DON’T SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" Lin Muyu roared, shaking her bruised knuckles right in front of his nose.
"Next time you decide to snoop around in other people’s business, think twice before picking on someone who will break your jaw!"
Manis sat glued to the dirt, trembling from head to toe as he looked up at her in absolute horror. He had met many females in the East Sea and Dragon Beast City, but this one...
THIS ONE WAS A LITERAL MONSTER!
How could a female be this fierce, this violent, and this ridiculously strong?!
"You... you beast!" Manis squeaked out, his voice cracking horribly.
Lin Muyu raised her fist again with an ominous glare. "What did you just call me?!"
"NOTHING! I SAID NOTHING!"
Without waiting another second, Manis scrambled to his feet, threw his hands over his blackening eye, and bolted down the path like a frantic rabbit escaping a tiger.
"MADWOMAN! THERE’S A MADWOMAN IN THE WOODS!" his high-pitched screams echoed all the way down to the riverbank.
Shi Kuang casually walked up behind Lin Muyu, covering his upper body with a low, amused chuckle as he watched the young merman run for his life.
"You scared the poor kid half to death."
Lin Muyu cracked her knuckles, dusting off her hands with a satisfied huff. "Hmph! Serves him right for not using his eyes properly!"
Lin Muyu turned her deadly glare back toward Shi Kuang, crossing her arms over her chest.
"As for you," she gritted out, pointing an accusing finger at his chest, "I’m dealing with you next!"
Shi Kuang didn’t look threatened in the slightest. In fact, a slow, doting smile spread across his handsome face.
Before he could say a word, Lin Muyu hooked her arm authoritatively around his massive, muscular forearm, dragging him along the path.
"Follow me! Next time, we’re finding a far more secluded spot where no annoying brats can interrupt!"
Shi Kuang let out a low, rumbling chuckle, letting her pull him along without an ounce of resistance. His heart hammered in his chest with thrilled excitement.
He absolutely adored being dominated by her like this...the wilder and fiercer she got, the more mesmerized he became. Watching her take full control was his absolute favorite thing in the world.
Even though Shi Kuang absolutely loved this fierce side of Lin Muyu, he also loved provoking her far too much. In fact, irritating her had practically become his favorite hobby.
As they walked side by side down the forest path, he suddenly stretched out his strong arms and wrapped them tightly around her waist.
Then, utterly shameless, he leaned almost his entire huge body against her petite frame, resting his chin on her head.
Lin Muyu’s steps immediately grew heavy under his weight. "Get off me."
Shi Kuang tightened his arms stubbornly. "No."
"Shi Kuang."
"Momo."
"Let go."
"Never."
She tried to elbow him in the ribs. He dodged gracefully. She tried again with her other elbow. He dodged again, grinning like a fool. He was practically hanging off her like a giant leech.
Lowering his head, he whispered teasingly right beside her ear, "Momo, you are just so fierce..."
Lin Muyu’s eyebrow twitched violently.
"It’s actually a great thing that I’m such a gentle, patient beast," Shi Kuang continued shamelessly, his eyes full of mischief.
"You can bully me all you want, but you can’t go bullying other people. After all, females are supposed to be gentle and pampered by their big, strong husbands."
The moment those words left his mouth, Lin Muyu stopped dead in their tracks. Her expression darkened into something truly terrifying.
Gentle? Gentle?!
In her mind, females were never meant to be weak, quiet little creatures just because of their gender.
They could be strong, they could be fierce, and they could beat the absolute daylights out of their husbands if necessary!
And apparently, one particular lion idiot had decided to test that belief today.
Without turning around, Lin Muyu reached backward and pinched the sensitive skin on his waist...hard.
"AH!" Shi Kuang immediately leaped backward, clutching his side. "Momo!"
She spun around and pinched his arm.
"Wait! Wait!"
"Ow! HAHAHA! Momo, stop! I’m sorry!"
She darted forward and pinched another spot near his lower back.
Shi Kuang quickly grabbed her wrist, trying to escape her lethal fingers while still chuckling under his breath. This woman was genuinely terrifying, yet he somehow loved her even more because of it.
Still, he just couldn’t resist digging his own grave a little deeper.
"I mean, just look at Sister Qinglan," Shi Kuang said casually, trying to divert her wrath.
Lin Muyu’s eyes narrowed into dangerous slits. "What about her?"
"She’s loved by everyone! She’s so gentle, kind, and virtuous. Even the males around her..."
He suddenly stopped mid-sentence.
Too late.
Lin Muyu slowly turned her head toward him, her aura turning completely suffocating. "What did you just say?"
Shi Kuang’s confident smile instantly evaporated. "...Nothing."
"What did you say?"
"I said... the weather is remarkably nice today."
Lin Muyu stared at him in icy silence.
Shi Kuang nodded with extreme seriousness. "Yes, very pleasant weather."
"You said Qinglan was gentle."
Shi Kuang’s heart sank right into his stomach. Oh, nononono. He had done it now. He was going to be buried six feet under before sunset.
He slowly shook his head in sheer denial. "I never said that."
Shi Kuang looked around frantically. "...Maybe it was a very articulate bird."
Lin Muyu took one slow, threatening step toward him.
Shi Kuang immediately took a massive step backward. "Momo, let’s talk about this peacefully."
Another step forward.
He backed up again. "I strongly believe violence is completely unnecessary here!"
Another step forward.
"Momo..."
She lunged forward and grabbed him tightly by the front of his shirt. "Come here!"
Shi Kuang was effortlessly dragged forward. Lin Muyu stared directly into his soul. "Do you honestly think Qinglan is gentle?"
Shi Kuang swallowed hard. "Well..."
"Do you think she’s some sweet, virtuous little female who just sits quietly and smiles at everyone?"
