Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 726: The Little Fox’s Secret Mission

The next morning arrived quietly over the Dragon Beast City.
Although it was already close to noon, the house was still unusually peaceful. After yesterday’s massive feast and all the excitement, everyone had slept much later than usual.
The little cubs were still scattered across the wide bed in all sorts of different, funny sleeping positions, hugging one another tightly beneath the thick, warm blankets.
Even Xuan Long and Han Jue had not gotten up yet, fully enjoying the rare, lazy morning.
Only Su Qinglan had already woken up. She stretched lazily, feeling completely refreshed, before finishing her usual morning routine.
After washing up and changing into fresh clothes, she prepared herself a simple, warm breakfast and quietly ate by the window, deeply enjoying the peaceful morning stillness.
Once she finished eating, she wiped her mouth and walked outside toward the front courtyard.
Rong Ye was already waiting nearby in the snow. The moment he saw her step out, the cold hardness in his expression softened instantly.
He walked over with long, steady strides and stood closely beside her before leaning down to whisper something quietly into her ear.
Su Qinglan blinked in surprise. "They’re really here?"
Rong Ye nodded helplessly, his jaw tightening. "They’ve been waiting outside since last night."
There was obvious annoyance written all over his handsome face.
Clearly, he was not at all happy that those persistent people had chosen to appear at their peaceful home and disturb his life with his female.
Seeing his deeply irritated expression, Su Qinglan couldn’t help but laugh softly. She reached up and gently patted his head to soothe him, smiling brightly.
"Don’t worry," she said, her voice full of confidence. "Your female is still here. You don’t have to worry about a single thing."
Rong Ye lowered his eyes to look at her beautiful, smiling face.
After a long moment of silence, the tension left his shoulders, and he let out a helpless sigh. In the end... she was always the center of his world, yet she was also the one he trusted the most in the entire world.
If she said everything would be fine, then he believed her completely.
Without saying anything else, Su Qinglan turned around and walked back into the warm house.
A moment later, she approached the big bed and carefully picked up the fluffiest little fox cub from the pile of sleeping children.
The tiny fox cub was still half asleep, his little limbs dangling. But the very moment he was lifted into his mother’s warm arms, his sleepy eyes slowly blinked open. His fluffy tail immediately began to wag wildly.
Mother picked me first!
As she always picked her children by their rank. So Ciao Ciao, being the youngest, was the last one to be spoiled by kisses.
The little fox cub became instantly delighted. He proudly glanced over his mother’s shoulder at all his still-sleeping brothers and sisters on the bed.
See? Mother loves me the most! Sure enough, he knew his handsome and beautiful little face had completely charmed his mother.
He happily leaned his head into Su Qinglan’s arms, closing his eyes as he waited to be thoroughly spoiled.
Su Qinglan smiled at his vanity and repeatedly kissed his soft, furry little face.
"My little baby." She rubbed his fluffy ears gently before lowering her voice to a whisper. "Do you remember everything Mother taught you yesterday?"
The little fox cub froze. His smug, blissful expression instantly stiffened.
Only now did he suddenly remember.
Ah... Mother wasn’t picking him up first because she loved him more than the others today. She needed him to help her with an important mission!
The little cub blinked twice to clear his head before immediately puffing out his tiny chest. He proudly raised his fluffy chin high into the air.
Of course he remembered! He was Mother’s smartest baby, after all!
He confidently patted his own little chest with his front paw, as if solemnly promising that he would definitely complete the important task perfectly.
Seeing his incredibly adorable, dramatic expression, Su Qinglan laughed even harder. She leaned down and kissed his forehead again.
"Good boy."
The little fox cub immediately held up his face again, pointing to his cheek.
Another kiss! Su Qinglan laughed and kissed him once more. Only then was the proud little fellow completely satisfied.
Among all her children, this little fox was definitely the most expressive.
Whether he was happy, proud, jealous, or asking for more kisses, every single emotion was written clearly across his tiny, furry face. He especially loved being praised and noticed by everyone.
Watching the scene from nearby, Rong Ye silently looked at his son, his face completely expressionless.
The little fox cub suddenly noticed his father’s heavy gaze.
Immediately, he lifted his fluffy chin even higher, his tiny eyes filled with absolute pride.
Even Father is jealous of me! He happily groomed the fur on his little snout with a paw before giving Rong Ye a smug, superior little look.
Mother clearly trusted him the most today.
Otherwise, why would she give such an important, secret task to him instead of the others? It was obviously because he was the smartest, most handsome baby in the whole family.
Rong Ye looked at his arrogant little son without saying a single word.
If he knew that this little fellow truly believed his fluffy fox face was more handsome than his own adult form, he would probably be so speechless that he would not know whether to laugh or cry.
Ever since these little cubs were born, they had been stealing more and more of Su Qinglan’s attention every day. Especially this little fox...he was practically a master at acting cute and manipulating his way into her lap.
The little cub caught his father’s eyes again. His tiny tail wagged proudly, and then he deliberately snuggled deeper into Su Qinglan’s warm embrace, wrapping his tail around her arm.
His smug little expression clearly said, "Mother loves me the most, Father."
Rong Ye’s eyelid twitched slightly. This little rascal... he really deserved a firm smack on his fluffy bottom later.
Seeing the silent, hilarious battle of wills between father and son, Su Qinglan could only laugh helplessly, shaking her head.
Soon, the three of them turned and walked toward the front door together. Just then, Xiao Yi woke up and noticed them leaving the house.
The little tiger cub hurriedly ran over on his clumsy paws, whining softly because he wanted to follow behind them into the snow.
Su Qinglan crouched down, balancing the fox cub in one arm while she gently rubbed Xiao Yi’s little tiger head with her free hand.
"You stay home and watch your brothers today, alright?" she smiled softly, her voice comforting.
"When Mother comes back, I’ll bring you lots of sweet winter fruits from the storage."
Xiao Yi’s round tiger eyes immediately brightened up at the mention of food. "Really?"
Su Qinglan nodded with a warm smile. "Really. Mother never lies to you."
The little tiger cub happily nodded his head, completely satisfied. "I’ll stay inside and wait for Mother!"
Only after successfully comforting him did Su Qinglan stand up again. She carried the incredibly proud little fox cub securely in her arms while Rong Ye quietly walked beside her, his tall body shielding her from the crisp wind.
