The triplets and Yun Ze, son of the Hawk Tribe Leader, shared a campfire. Yun Ze eagerly inquired about the triplets' sister, hoping to find a potential mate. The triplets, particularly Yin Lie, dismissed his advances, joking that their silent elder brother, Yun Xiao, would be a more fitting potential brother-in-law due to his quiet strength. Yun Ze was amused by Yun Xiao's nickname, "Brother Silent," and his tendency to speak only in one-word commands, further fueling his competitive spirit.

Back at Su Qinglan’s house, not a single person had gone to sleep.

Even though it was already past midnight, the brightly lit main hall was still crowded with people, the warm glow of the fire casting long, dancing shadows against the walls.

The cubs had originally been the most excited.

After all, this was the absolute first time they had ever seen so many spiritual plants gathered together in one room.

Their little eyes had sparkled with endless curiosity as they secretly peeked at the strange, rustling group from behind the furniture.

They especially couldn’t stop staring at the old grandfather with the long white beard; he looked so majestic and imposing, like an ancient tree brought to life.

Unfortunately, no matter how excited they were, they were still just little cubs. One after another, tiny yawns escaped their mouths, and soon, their heavy eyelids grew too heavy to hold up.

Before long, all of them had fallen fast asleep, leaning against each other like a pile of soft, fluffy little dumplings on the rug.

Shi Feng smiled helplessly. Without making a single sound, he carefully lifted the sleeping cubs into his arms one by one, carrying them back to their warm room and gently tucking them into bed.

Only after making sure each little one was breathing softly and sleeping comfortably did he quietly return to the main hall.

The atmosphere inside had become much calmer and more grounded than before. Especially one certain plant.

Stove, who had nearly exploded with righteous anger when he first arrived home from the storm, was now sitting completely quietly beside Su Qinglan.

His large, broad leaves were neatly folded in front of his stalk, and he looked so incredibly obedient and submissive that no one could possibly connect him to the furious, thrashing plant from earlier.

Every now and then, he secretly glanced over at Su Qinglan before quickly lowering his leaves again, looking exactly like a child who had been caught doing something wrong.

After learning that these beastmen-shaped plants were actually Little Hua’s biological family, even his fierce protectiveness had disappeared, replaced by a deep sense of awkwardness.

Little Hua herself had already awakened under the soothing warmth of Su Qinglan’s healing energy. She was no longer hiding fearfully behind Su Qinglan’s skirts; instead, she sat happily between her biological mother and father.

Her tiny, delicate vine wrapped around her mother’s leaf from time to time, gripping tightly as though she was terrified they would start fighting.

Seeing the deep bond between the child and her parents, the old grandfather’s stern expression finally softened completely. He let out a long, weathered breath and slowly began to explain everything that had happened over the past months.

He spoke of how Little Hua had accidentally been left behind during their clan’s sudden migration to escape their previous home, how the entire spiritual plant clan had searched desperately and sleeplessly for her over the grueling months, and finally, how they had relentlessly followed the faint, magical connection of their shared bloodline until it led them directly to the gates of Dragon Beast City.

The hall remained completely silent as his story unfolded.

Su Qinglan, Hu Yan, Han Jue, Rong Ye, Shi Feng, and An Mo quietly listened from beginning to end, their expressions shifting with empathy. No one interrupted the old plant.

Only after hearing the entire bittersweet journey did they finally understand the full truth. These were not malicious intruders or ordinary wild plants; they were Little Hua’s devoted family.

Everything Little Hua had told them before...every single word about her loving clan had been entirely true. She really had been separated from her family, and now, against all odds, her family had finally found her.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the room became strangely complicated.

Su Qinglan lowered her eyes to look at Little Hua, who was currently leaning her head happily against her mother’s stalk.

A faint, tender smile appeared on Su Qinglan’s lips. She was genuinely happy for the little one...happy that Little Hua no longer had to miss her home and happy that she wasn’t alone in the world anymore.

But beneath that happiness, a faint, bittersweet feeling tugged at her heart. It almost felt... as though she had unknowingly taken away someone else’s precious child for a time.

The exact same thought appeared in the minds of her beast husbands.

Shi Feng rubbed the bridge of his nose, letting out a soft sigh. "No wonder... he was so utterly furious when he first arrived at our door."

Han Jue nodded in somber agreement. "If someone took one of our own cubs away and kept them for many months, I’m afraid I wouldn’t have stayed nearly as calm as he did."

Rong Ye silently glanced at the old grandfather before looking back at Little Hua, his eyes softening slightly with understanding.

Even An Mo, who rarely allowed his true emotions to show, remained unusually quiet, his golden eyes reflective.

Looking back now, the old grandfather’s initial hostility had been completely justified. He wasn’t being unreasonable; he was simply a grandfather who had finally found his lost, precious granddaughter.

Even Stove lowered his head in profound embarrassment. His bright green petals drooped, and his leaves curled inward as he muttered quietly, "...I really misunderstood them. I thought they were kidnappers."

Su Qinglan reached out and gently patted one of his trembling leaves.

"It’s alright, Stove. We all misunderstood each other in the dark."

Stove nodded obediently. For the very first time since entering the household, the arrogant, loud-mouthed plant had become as quiet and docile as a little chick.

Seeing his remorseful appearance, even the old grandfather couldn’t find it in himself to stay angry anymore. He let out a helpless, rumbling sigh before turning his gaze fully toward Su Qinglan.

"I..." His aged voice became much gentler and deeply respectful than before. "I should also apologize to you all. I was far too anxious and blind after sensing Little Hua’s presence, and I deeply misunderstood your intentions."

He slowly stood up, his five-foot-tall wooden frame straightening. Then, to everyone’s absolute surprise, the old grandfather bent his main stem, bowing slightly but formally toward Su Qinglan and her family.

"Thank you," he said, his voice thick with genuine emotion.

"Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our little flower. If it weren’t for the kindness of your family... our child might not have survived the harsh wilderness to see us today."

Hearing his words, Little Hua’s tiny eyes turned completely red with tears. She suddenly detached herself from her parents and rushed forward, hugging Su Qinglan’s wrist tightly.

She didn’t want to leave her biological family... but she also couldn’t bear the thought of leaving Qinglan, Stove, and everyone else who had given her a home.

To her pure, innocent heart, both sides were her real family now, and she was caught entirely in the middle.
