"How many mates does she currently have? Do you think I’d make a good, handsome brother-in-law? You guys can put in a few good words for me when we arrive, right? I don’t know much about ocean beastmen, but I promise I’ll take absolute, doting care of her!"

The lively cave instantly fell into a dead, suffocating silence.

Yin Lie slowly looked him up and down before rolling his golden eyes so hard they nearly disappeared into the back of his head.

"Dream on," he snorted loudly, tearing a chunk of meat off his stick.

"Pfft! Hahaha!" Yin Chen burst into uncontrollable laughter, nearly choking on his food.

Yun Ze clutched his chest, gasping dramatically as if he had been physically stabbed.

"What?! I’m exceptionally handsome! I’m wildly talented! I’m the top flying scout of the Hawk Tribe! Why on earth am I not worthy?!"

Before Yin Lie could even craft a snarky answer, Yin Shen suddenly raised his grease-stained hand and pointed directly toward the silent, towering man sitting on the opposite side of the fire.

"If anyone from our tribe actually has a realistic chance..." Yin Shen said with absolute seriousness, "It should be Brother Silent."

The moment those words fell... even the unflappable Yun Xiao paused his hand, his hand hovering right above the sizzling meat.

Yun Ze blinked, utterly baffled. "...Brother Silent?"

Yin Shen nodded confidently, taking a proud bite of his food. "Exactly." He pointed his stick at Yun Xiao again.

"Our future brother-in-law should be someone dependable, strong, and protective. Not someone who literally talks from sunrise to sunset without a single breath."

Yin Chen nodded repeatedly like a broken toy. "I agree completely."

Yin Lie couldn’t help but laugh out loud. "I agree too. Count me in."

Yun Ze looked completely betrayed, his jaw dropping as he looked between the triplets.

"You three... you actually gave my terrifying elder brother a secret nickname behind his back? Brother Silent? Hahaha!"

The three triplets laughed loudly without showing the absolute slightest shred of guilt.

Yin Shen shrugged his shoulders innocently. "It perfectly suits him. He barely utters three sentences a day."

Yin Chen added with a very serious facial expression, "Sometimes I honestly sit here and wonder if he even knows how to formulate words anymore."

Yin Lie nodded with complete, mock sincerity. "I’ve actually been counting today. Today, he has only spoken exactly once since we woke up."

Yun Ze immediately turned toward his formidable elder brother, his eyes sparkling with instigating delight.

"Brother! Say something! Defend your honor! Show these triplets you have a voice!"

Yun Xiao slowly raised his sharp, golden eyes from the crackling embers. His calm, heavy gaze swept across the four noisy youngsters, carrying the immense weight of an apex predator.

"...Eat."

One single word. Nothing more.

The cave became dead quiet for a tense, agonizing second. Then...

"Hahahahaha!"

The triplets burst into loud, uncontrollable laughter, slapping their knees.

Yun Ze covered his face with both hands, groaning in sheer defeat.

Yin Chen clicked his tongue in mockery. "Big dreams, little bird."

Yin Shen added mercilessly, "Let’s see if even a single female notices you over Brother Silent first."

Yin Lie folded his arms, a smug grin plastered across his identical face. "Don’t come crying to us when they all choose Brother Silent to protect them instead."

"You three just wait!" Yun Ze pointed dramatically at all three brothers, his face flushed with competitive energy.

"When we finally reach Dragon Beast City, I will prove it to you! I’ll become the most popular, sought-after male there! And then all of you will beg me on your knees to teach you how to charm females!"

The three triplets looked at each other for a brief second. Then, without any hesitation...

Their boisterous, youthful laughter echoed loudly throughout the rocky cave, mixing beautifully with the crackling of the warm fire and the raging, bitter wind outside.
