The world watched in anticipation as Asher faced a dangerous pit, rumored to house a Rank 7 existence. Despite public debate and concern, Asher eventually entered the abyss, only to find himself facing over one hundred Rank 5 Emovirae in a special negative zone. Betting odds were set against him, but powerful factions immediately bet on his success.

The moment Asher stepped past the thin vertical barrier, the Emovirae that had been staring at him pounced as though they had been starving for ages. But before they could even cross the distance, all they saw was a flowing silver flash that moved like a liquid thread, and with that, blood instantly splattered into the air as ten Rank 5 Emovirae were decapitated in a single slash, as Asher came to them instead of them coming to him.

Asher’s figure appeared within their midst as he had crossed the distance before they could even so much as blink. Their eyes and senses snapped toward him as their heads turned, but it was already too late, as Asher was already in motion. He dropped into a stance as his knees dipped forward, Virelass positioned near his waist as he immediately spun and performed a 360-degree slash.

There was no elemental augmentation. No Astra Energy. No Star Energy. No nothing.

Mobs were mobs. They weren’t worth his true Rapier Technique.

As Asher completed the technique, the air screamed and twisted into a ring that expanded for meters before instantly exploding outward with a cataclysmic crescendo of madness and apocalypse. With just that singular attack, over twenty Emovirae were erased before they could even tap into their abilities and Astra Energy.

The wind rings collapsed against the walls of the inner cavern, stones exploding outward in bursts as various sword marks slashed across the earth and pillars around everyone. Dust rose, obstructing everything within view, but it didn’t seem to affect anyone who was alive at the moment.

Asher vanished from where he stood. The moment he did, a tail slammed into the position he had occupied a mere split second ago, and the earth tore open from the force of the attack. But Asher was already on the move. His rapier flashed in a silver gleam, and the Emovira that had attacked was bisected in half, its body disintegrating into dust.

Asher’s head snapped to the side as he sensed a beam attack racing toward him with enough power to level almost anything and everything. Asher didn’t hesitate. He swung Virelass upward as he split the beam attack perfectly in half. The moment he did, the beam attack immediately brightened as both halves exploded outward with ruinous force and destruction.

The entire cavern shook as everything within a two-kilometer radius was erased from the map. Walls were scorched into lava, the earth liquefied, pillars collapsed, and the air became suffocating as dust, fumes, and smoke covered everything in a dense haze.

Asher’s figure shot into the air, his body streaking from a cloud of dust as he moved toward the upper floor of the cavern. Behind him, the Emovirae chased with glee and fervor in their eyes.

The first Emovira arrived, its claws covered in what appeared to be flames as it slashed toward Asher’s neck. But before the attack could even land, both the claw and its neck separated from its body, as Asher had already killed it before it even arrived, and what it had been attacking was nothing more than an afterimage.

The grin on Asher’s face widened as he saw the Emovirae arrive. The moment they appeared on the upper floor of the cavern, Asher immediately tapped into his Astra Energy as he commanded space itself. The next instant, every Emovirae, whether Rank 5 or Rank 6, felt their bodies being pulled forward by some unknown force.

But before any of them could even try to resist or understand what was happening, Virelass flashed in Asher’s hand as tens of crescent wind slashes collapsed against their bodies. The attacks tore through their bodies with sickening ease. It didn’t matter how strong their scales or hides were; to the rapier, they were no different from butter.

The upper floor of the cavern was immediately covered in blood as over fifty bodies hit the ground, erased with a single attack.

Asher was about to move again when his foot immediately halted. His eyes snapped downward as he saw that his shadow had somehow been locked in place, pinning him where he stood. One Emovira immediately opened its maw and unleashed a breath attack of blue flames capable of melting everything within the cavern.

As the attack was about to land, Asher vanished from where he stood, and in his place stood a Rank 5 Emovira that was immediately devoured and reduced to ash by the breath attack. Asher appeared beside the Emovira with the breath ability and slashed upward from below.

Flesh parted with ease as the massive head was separated from its body. But before the head could hit the ground, Asher kicked it as though it were a mere pebble. It boomed forward and slammed into weaker Emovirae, reducing them to meat paste as the wall behind them exploded outward from the impact.

As Asher was about to move again, his system chimed as an illusion ability was immediately used on his mind. The Emovira with the illusion ability closed the distance, its dagger streaking toward Asher’s heart.

But before it could even close the distance, Asher appeared before it in a flicker, grabbed it by the head, appeared before a wall, and slammed the Emovira’s head into it with brutal force that shook the entire upper floor. The Emovira’s head immediately burst open, its corpse vanishing into dust.

The rest of the Emovirae unleashed various attacks, but the moment they got close to Asher, they all froze in space as though something was holding them back. Asher turned toward them, and then, with a flick of his left wrist, the attacks reversed course as though time itself had been reversed. Before the Emovirae could even react, their own attacks collapsed against their own bodies.

Various titanic explosions rang out in succession, earthquakes tearing through everything in their path as the upper floor began to shake and collapse became imminent. After all, everything within a couple of kilometers had been razed to nothingness under the combined attacks of the Rank 6 Emovirae.

But as the upper floor was about to collapse, Asher tapped into his space affinity once more as Astra Energy pulsed outward in waves, and instantly the entire upper floor stopped quaking as Asher used space itself to forcibly halt the collapse. But his mind wasn’t on the collapsing cavern. No, it was on the Emovirae before him, who stared at him with killing intent.

Their numbers had already been thinned as Asher had erased nearly every single one of them, leaving behind only five Rank 6 Emovirae. Neither side took a step, as though they had arrived at an impasse.

But they hadn’t, at least not to Asher. If they wouldn’t come to him, then he would come to them. With that, he took a step. The moment he did, the Emovirae blurred backward, but it was useless. How could they even hope to be faster than Asher?

Asher’s rapier boomed outward in a thrust toward the first Emovira. The Emovira immediately reacted as it created an Astra Energy barrier to block, since it couldn’t dodge in time. But it was futile. Virelass tore a gaping hole through the Astra barrier as though it were made of paper, and another gaping hole immediately appeared in the Emovira’s chest.

Asher didn’t even spare the corpse a glance. His eyes snapped toward the other Emovirae, his senses slowing their speed within his perception. In a flicker, he closed the distance. As he arrived, his foot left the earth in a rocketing high kick. The Emovira immediately crossed its arms over its chest as a metallic sheen covered its body. Asher’s kick connected with the force of a cannon blast, the impact tearing through whatever ability the Emovira had used, as his foot reduced its arms to mush before proceeding to meet its chest with sickening ease.

The force hurled the Emovira backward as it slammed into the earth behind it, its body turning to dust.

Two more Emovirae closed in from the sides while the last one closed in from behind. But the moment they got close, gravity greater than anything they had ever experienced slammed into their bodies. Their knees crashed into the earth with sickening force, their bodies coated in Astra Energy, their strength straining as they desperately tried to rise to their feet.

Asher didn’t even spare them a glance. He simply took a step forward, and with that step, the space around the Emovirae’s heads twisted, and instantly their brains exploded outward from within with a sickening crunch. Their bodies turned into dust as they left the world of Crymora and passed into the unknown.
