Asher faced off against the Emovira and the Monkey, their battle quickly escalating with powerful attacks. Despite Asher's speed and skill, the duo demonstrated incredible coordination and reflexes, managing to dodge his deadliest strikes. The Emovira then revealed a deceptive ability, creating numerous duplicates of itself and the Monkey, leaving Asher outnumbered against an army of formidable opponents.

This was the ability of the Emovira; it was called Reflection. Through its ability, it could create a mirror that reflected just about anything into existence. The Emovira Asher had kicked earlier was an example, as whenever they were destroyed, they shattered into glass, and the cause of their destruction froze in glass for a single second without being able to move.

The five hundred Monkeys and five hundred Emovirae instantly pushed off their feet, their speed matching that of the original.

Asher didn’t react to the sudden spike in numbers. His Astra Energy simply came alive as, the next moment, one thousand Elemental Clones of himself from various elements appeared. As they formed, each clone shot forward, meeting the attacks of each Reflection.

Various booms echoed through the air as thousands of attacks were exchanged simultaneously. The clones that ended the Reflection opponents instantly froze. Within a couple of minutes, both Reflections and Clones wiped out each other.

The Monkey and the Emovira simply watched from afar with entertaining smiles on their faces. This was the first time they were seeing someone handle the Reflection ability this way.

The Emovira acted once more, a mirror appearing before it, and from the mirror, Asher himself stepped out, Virelass in hand. The Reflection bearing his demeanor and everything else walked ever so slowly.

Asher didn’t create any clone this time; he simply walked forward, a bit curious about this clone of himself. The clone took a step, vanishing from where it stood and appearing beside the original Asher. It raised ’Virelass’ and brought it down upon Asher’s shoulder.

Asher’s hand instantly blurred as he didn’t use his rapier to block. With indifferent ease, he caught the blade in his palm, then tightened his grip, instantly shattering the ’Virelass’ the clone held.

’A clone at the end of the day.’

Asher thought to himself with a flat expression as he slapped the clone of himself to the side, unbothered by slapping a clone of himself.

His eyes returned to the Monkey and the Emovira. The moment their eyes met, he vanished from where he stood, appearing in between the both of them, Virelass already screaming towards the Emovira’s neck.

The Emovira’s state seemed to shift yet again like before as it instantly dodged by a hair’s breadth. But it didn’t just dodge; it slashed at Asher’s waist with machine-like accuracy. Asher didn’t move. Virelass simply vanished from his hand, appearing on the path of the Emovira’s attack, instantly halting the attack with a shrieking sound of metal scraping against metal.

The Monkey moved, its staff slamming towards Asher’s face as it moved to batter his face. Asher merely raised a hand to block with pure physical strength. But as both attack and defense were about to connect, the Monkey recalibrated, the attack shifting from his face to his chest.

Asher’s hand tore downwards, his speed super-firing as his other hand rose to block the attack against his chest. But the Monkey recalibrated, pulling off a double feint with instant ease, its new target now Asher’s skull as the staff came down from above.

Asher no longer tried to block. He simply teleported a kilometer away as he finally understood the Monkey’s ability.

’The Emovira can create Reflections, while the Monkey can see about a second into the future, and somehow link the ability to the Emovira, also allowing the Emovira to see its own future.’

Asher guessed for a moment as he turned towards the both of them. They were both great abilities, amazing, truly.

The Emovira snapped its fingers, Reflections of trees appearing around them. The next moment, the trees moved as tendrils and vines shot out with maddening power as they moved to slam into Asher.

Asher vanished from where he stood, his speed swift, yet he made sure not to destroy the trees, as doing so would only freeze him in place. As he dodged, he heard the Emovira snap its fingers again. This time, mountains suddenly appeared, and in the next moment, countless spikes of Earth shot toward him in a blur.

Asher’s figure became a blur as he weaved between the attacks, leaping from one vine and wooden tendril to another with a smile on his face. Over a hundred closed in from the side, but his rapier blurred through the air, slicing them into cubes before he continued his evasive movements.

He twisted through the air and landed on the ground. The moment his feet touched the earth, he sheathed Virelass and, using its sheath, deflected and destroyed the boulders the Emovira sent hurtling toward him.

’It seems that both of them have switched towards long-ranged attacks after seeing that they could suppress me through sheer physical combat.’

Asher mused to himself with a smile on his face as he shattered an earthen spike attack.

His eyes landed on the Monkey, then he took a step, his speed swift as he weaved through the trees and mountains like smoke as he appeared before the Monkey this time. Virelass left its sheath as he swung it horizontally across the air.

The Monkey’s ability activated as it saw the future. It immediately tried to react, but alas, it was too late. Asher’s blade carved open its chest, blue blood splattering into the air as it hit the ground.

The Monkey immediately shot backwards, creating distance between itself and Asher.

"Although you might be able to see the future, the question is, are you fast enough to change it?"

Asher’s voice came from behind, his voice cool and curious, as he was already behind the Monkey.

The Monkey activated its ability once more, then vanished from where it stood as the Emovira unleashed various attacks towards Asher. Seeing the incoming attacks, he took a step yet again, his form appearing before the Emovira as it was in the middle of creating yet another Reflection.

"The both of you rely on your abilities way too much."

Asher stated as he appeared before the Emovira. As it moved to attack with its katana, Asher’s rapier had already completed its own motion. In the next instant, the sound of flesh tearing apart echoed across the battlefield as the Emovira’s right hand, which held the sword, soared into the air.

The Monkey immediately activated its ability, allowing the Emovira to see its own future and react accordingly. But the moment the Emovira saw the future, the future it witnessed suddenly collapsed and shattered. In the next instant, all it felt was its life fading away.

It looked down, only to see its own head soaring through the air. It had been decapitated before it could even blink.

"NOOOO!!!!"

The Monkey screamed and tried to catch the Emovira’s head, but it was useless as it turned to dust the next moment. It stood motionless for a moment as it stared at the blood on the ground, the only remains of its friend.

It turned towards Asher, hatred filling its eyes. It wanted to rage. It wanted to kill this Human. But alas, Asher himself had already confirmed that intense and immense anger, rage, and sadness at the death of a loved one awakened no sudden power of friendship or love.

His rapier blurred as he unleashed a crisscross slash in a single motion before sheathing his weapon. The attack shredded the Monkey into four pieces before it could even react to the future it had just seen.

Asher stared at the Monkey’s corpse, then shook his head. Two Rank 8 Entities had teamed up against him and lost.

Yes, he had become ridiculously stronger, but he understood that one of the reasons for their defeat was simple: they depended too heavily on their abilities. With that, he turned and walked away.

It was time to explore what was hidden beneath.
