Celestial Bloodline Chapter 1007: How... did it come back?
Previously on Celestial Bloodline...
In the end, only Ares and Kyle’s friends remained at the scene, with the Warriors and Giants watching them expectantly, waiting for Clan Leader Ares’s decision.
Ares was about to turn toward Alec, Jian, and the others, but Alec quickly declined before he could even open his lips. They had only just arrived in the Celestial Realm and wanted to focus solely on becoming stronger while exploring this new realm.
Sinon barely managed to suppress his laughter as he noticed Ares’s expression, which had already turned increasingly ugly.
Still, Ares forced a smile at them.
"Alright."
He almost squeezed out that word.
Indeed, he loved to brag...
Like how, now, he was the leader of the army once under the elders and Rulers.
But he only liked to brag!
He absolutely did not like to work!
Damn it!
Kyle, you bastard!
If you’re going to kill people, then at least assign someone else to do their jobs!
Cassian, who had been entirely ignored until now, looked at Ares with amusement.
"Not going to ask me?"
Ares almost laughed.
"You think I don’t know you? The instant I ask you to take this responsibility, you’ll disappear faster than everyone else did!"
He had known Cassian long enough to know better than to even bother asking.
Cassian clicked his tongue with a smirk. His next words made Ares want to wail.
"I was actually considering doing this job with Jolie, Tai, and Owin, but I won’t now."
Nine and the others nearby chuckled.
At that moment, Jian, who was standing closest to Cassian, noticed a faint golden glow at his collarbones beneath his shirt. He pointed toward it with a curious gaze.
"What’s that?"
Hearing his words, everyone’s eyes unconsciously drifted toward the glow.
Cassian blinked and looked down.
Only to freeze the next second.
His fingers trembled as he reached up and touched his shirt, his expression changing.
"How...?"
Bia, who had remained behind with Nox instead of leaving with Kyle because the Lynx had been grumbling about how she showed favoritism by only turning into her small form for Kyle, glanced at Cassian’s collarbones and suddenly questioned.
"You have a Celestial Symbol?"
Everyone looked at Cassian in surprise.
Even Clan Leader Ares, who had been lamenting his life choices moments ago, suddenly rushed toward Cassian’s dazed figure and grabbed his shirt, immediately pulling the collar down without hesitation.
A hint of excitement crept into his voice.
"What?! Really?!"
The moment Cassian’s shirt was pulled down, even he was completely shocked.
A familiar ethereal golden clock symbol was glowing faintly against his skin.
Everyone around him began chattering in surprise, but Cassian barely heard a word.
His mind was a complete mess.
How... did it come back?
Then, suddenly, he remembered the faint warmth he had felt from Kyle’s cold palm when the latter had patted his shoulder.
His eyes widened.
The realization struck him like lightning.
Ignoring Ares’s inquiries, Cassian abruptly turned his head toward the direction Kyle had left. His trembling hand slowly moved toward the glowing golden clock symbol.
"You..."
A single word escaped his lips, but he couldn’t find anything else to say.
In the end, he simply laughed.
"So now he could even just casually give back something that was already gone?"
Cassian laughed for a long while.
No one around him understood what he was talking about. Eventually, he turned toward Clan Leader Ares with a smile.
"Alright. Today just keeps getting better. I will take charge of the Golden Hall of Light and the Bridge of Divinity from now on."
With that, he vanished, leaving behind a group of completely confused people.
Ares stared at the empty space where Cassian had suddenly disappeared.
"Wait!! You haven’t told me yet when and how you got a Celestial Symbol! Damn it!"
Bia narrowed her eyes thoughtfully.
Seeing her expression, Nox edged closer.
"You know something?"
The Phoenix chuckled, sweeping her long, drifting hair back before saying cryptically.
"It seems Kyle returned something important that someone had lost."
Nox was even more confused.
But Bia stopped talking afterward.
In the end, he could only scratch his head and follow her figure when she suggested they should go and secretly watch how the three kids were doing in the frozen lands, since they had nothing else to do for now.
Elizabeth and James noticed Bia and Nox leaving the place but didn’t stop them. The two powerful Celestial beasts had always been carefree and rarely got into trouble.
And now that Kyle was around, they had even less reason to worry about them.
After Ares instructed the Warriors and Giants to return to their former posts and resume guarding the Golden Hall of Light, they quickly followed his orders. Now that they knew they were to follow Cassian’s command for the time being, there was little reason for them to linger around.
Afterward, Jian and the others simply followed Ares back to his Clan. For now, they all wanted to familiarize themselves with the Celestial Realm and gain a deeper understanding of its factional dynamics.
Clan Leader Ares was more than happy to take them in, his earlier complaints about Kyle already forgotten.
However, it was only after returning to the Golden Guardians Clan that Ares realized just how little free time he actually had.
Nathaniel and Valance were already dead.
Now, with Yizhe, Mirabel, and the people under them dead as well, a lot of matters had fallen into Clan Leader Ares’s hands.
After all, despite their hypocrisy, those people had been the ones holding most power and maintaining order throughout the Celestial Realm. With them gone, the responsibility of keeping everything from falling into chaos had fallen onto Ares.
Ares now had to establish a new system and rules to maintain stability throughout the Celestial Realm, decide who would take control of the vacant Ancient Temple, and determine how to redistribute the abodes, countless lands, and territories left behind by Yizhe and the other dead powerhouses.
With so much work piling up, Ares had no choice but to leave the newcomers in the care of the Little Librarian, instructing him to accommodate and assist Alec and the others while he dealt with the aftermath.
Honestly, Ares grumbled endlessly that Kyle, the one responsible for all of this, should have been the one to handle it!
However, that guy had simply vanished with his dear wife to who knew where!
Kyle didn’t even come back when news of what he had done spread throughout the entire Realm, with every Celestial hailing him as the newly crowned strongest Ruler!
He even forgot about his own son!!!
Damn it!
After spending an entire week drowning in these matters, Ares nearly flipped the table buried beneath a mountain of papers when he heard someone mention Kyle’s name.
Amon, who had come to Ares’s Clan with Leon and Caria after the trio had finished exploring the frozen lands, noticed Ares’s terrifying expression when someone who had just entered his office inquired about his father and quietly whispered to Leon.
"What’s wrong with him?"
Leon whispered back.
"Who knows?"
He dragged Amon and Caria away.
"Let’s go find someone else to talk to."
