Big Shot's Reincarnation Sweeps the World Chapter 5

Sheng Yue attempted to condescend to Sheng Yang, first by offering to help with an English book, then by bragging about a piano from her Eldest Brother. Sheng Yang, however, quickly dismissed Sheng Yue's attempts at superiority, revealing a sharp intellect and an intimidating demeanor that surprised Sheng Yuxi. Sheng Yue, frustrated, then prepared to play the piano.

The lively notes of the "Turkish March" filled the room. Sheng Yue performed the piece with maximum speed, attempting to flaunt her technical prowess on the piano.

Watching from the side, Sheng Yuxi’s expression was filled with genuine praise.

Since they were close in age and had been raised together, the two shared a strong bond. Even as a child, Sheng Yue had always been remarkably talented.

However, as he listened, he couldn't help but blurt out, “Yueyue, this sounds so much better than when you play at home; it’s incredibly fluid and smooth.”

If even an amateur like him could notice the difference, Sheng Yue certainly did as well.

That resonance, that perfect intonation...

Her focus wavered slightly as she played, and a flicker of unease crossed her face.

She stole a quick look at Sheng Yang, who remained engrossed in her book, undisturbed.

Once the piece concluded, Sheng Yue shut the piano lid and spoke to Sheng Yuxi with a hint of awkwardness, “The piano's tuning must be what makes it sound so different.”

Sheng Yuxi pursed his lips in disagreement. “I don't think that's it. This piano just arrived two days ago, and a tuner hasn't even looked at it yet.”

It was clear that Sheng Yue’s own piano was inferior in every way. Her claim that it was merely a matter of tuning sounded quite foolish.

Sheng Yue pressed a hand to her temple, feeling so humiliated that she felt a bit lightheaded.

Just then, a servant tapped on the door. “Miss, there is a foreigner downstairs asking for you.”

The Sheng family staff were highly compensated and well-trained. Most could drive and possessed basic English skills, allowing them to understand that the visitor was seeking Sheng Yang.

Beyond that, however, they couldn't grasp the man's meaning, which is why they came to fetch her.

Sheng Yue’s interest was piqued by the news. She knew her Aunt intended to enroll Sheng Yang in Yan City Middle School. Could this foreigner be a private English tutor?

“Let’s go down and see what's happening,” Sheng Yue suggested with excitement.

Feeling her new phone vibrate, Sheng Yang frowned and rubbed the bridge of her nose. She had a good idea of who this foreigner was.

Sheng Yue and Sheng Yuxi reached the ground floor first, encountering a tall foreign man. Beside him stood a massive object concealed beneath a thick cloth.

Sheng Yuxi felt a headache coming on the moment he saw the man. His English was terrible; it had been his lowest score on his graduation exams. Without that struggle, his overall grades would have been much higher.

He turned to Sheng Yue for help, and she gave his hand a reassuring pat. “Don't worry, Third Brother, I’ll handle the translation.”

She approached the man with an elegant air, offering a smile as she spoke in English, “Hello, how can I help you?”

Noticing Sheng Yang descending the stairs behind them, she tried to look even more sophisticated.

The foreigner appeared agitated, speaking rapidly in English.

Sheng Yue’s eyes narrowed. The man spoke with a heavy accent.

She could only catch a few isolated words.

Refusing to lose face in front of Sheng Yuxi and Sheng Yang, she forced herself to stay calm. Guessing at the context, she maintained her graceful smile. “He just introduced himself. He’s the English tutor Auntie recruited for Sheng Yang.”

“Yueyue, you’re amazing.” Sheng Yuxi gave her a thumbs up before gesturing toward the large shrouded object. “But why is he carrying such a huge box?”

Sheng Yue had no choice but to ask the foreigner again.

Just like before, she didn't understand a single word of his reply. Gritting her teeth, she bluffed, “That’s just his luggage.”

“Oh...” Sheng Yuxi nodded as if he understood, looking at Sheng Yue with admiration. In his eyes, she was the most proficient English speaker in the house.

Witnessing the charade, Sheng Yang let out a faint smile. She walked forward and addressed the foreigner with a simple, “No.”

Her voice was crisp, yet it took on a magnetic quality when she spoke English.

Sheng Yuxi panicked and tried to intervene. “Yangyang, don't say that! This is the tutor Mom found for you.”

Sheng Yue nearly laughed out loud. This country girl probably only knew how to say "Yes" and "No"!

The foreigner certainly understood the word "No." He scratched his head, looking so flustered that sweat began to bead on his forehead. Unable to find the right words, he simply reached out and yanked the cloth away.

Beneath the fabric sat no "luggage," but a shimmering, brand-new piano! One look was enough to tell it was an instrument of the highest quality.
